Jared Leto Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Nine Women, Denies Allegations
Nine women have accused Jared Leto of inappropriate behavior and sexual misconduct.
In an
Air Mail
story published over the weekend, nine women, the majority of whom are anonymous, gave interviews that outlined a pattern of inappropriate and predatory behavior by the 53-year-old actor and musician. Some say they were underage at the time they came in contact with Leto, who for decades has fronted the popular rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.
The women allege a longstanding pattern of such behavior.
'It's been an open secret for a long time,' an anonymous woman told the outlet.
Among the allegations, Leto is accused of asking sexual questions to a 16-year-old girl, walking out of a room nude in front of a 17-year-old girl and exposing himself and fapping before putting an 18-year-old's hand "on him."
One of the sources is a model named Laura La Rue who claims that she met Leto at an animal rights benefit in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 2008.
She was 16 years old at the time to Leto's 36.
La Rue claims Leto was observing her so intensely that her mother noticed. After asking how old she was, Leto also allegedly asked for her telephone number, which she provided out of a believe that he would be good for her burgeoning modeling career.
Months later, she visited him at his home. 'I remember him teasing me the whole time I was there. He was flirting with me. He'd lean in close, then pull away, like it was a game,' she told Air Mail.
She continued to visit Leto for months, and during one of those visits, Leto appeared from a room nude. 'He just walked out, dick out, like it was normal,' said La Rue, who was 17 at the time.
The Oscar winning actor's rep told Air Mail that La Rue applied to work as Leto's personal assistant — a claim the model denies — and that further underscores 'the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.'
Another source, an anonymous actress, told Air Mail that she met Leto when she was underage though she visited his house. After she turned 18, the visits turned sexual.
The woman claims that Leto exposed himself and fapped before grabbing her hand and put it on him. Leto's rep shot down the allegations: 'All of the allegations are expressly denied.'
The piece also published a viral Twitter post shared by actor Dylan Sprouse in 2018. It reads: 'Yo Jared Leto, now that you've slid into the DMs of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?' Filmmaker and DC chief James Gunn replied: 'He starts at 18 on the internet?'.
Leto next stars in Disney's blockbuster "Tron: Ares."

ICESCO Launches Second Edition of Its Poetry Contest 'Cities of Poems'
Mohamed Mandour The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) announces the launch of the second edition of the annual poetry award 'Cities of Poems,' dedicated this year to the city of Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan, in celebration of its designation as a 2025 Culture Capital in the Islamic World. The annual contest, which coincides with ICESCO's announcement of the Culture Capital in the Islamic World, aims to revive and strengthen the age-old connection between poetry and place: an enduring relationship that has inspired many immortal works in Arabic and global poetry. It also seeks to document, through poetic and aesthetic expression, the history and geography of cities, and to honor the figures and civilizations celebrated by the Capitals of Culture in the Islamic World through poetry. Poetic submissions, in either Arabic or Uzbek, will be accepted starting 1st August 2025, and ending on Wednesday, 31st December 2025. A panel of experts from ICESCO, together with a host of distinguished poets, will evaluate the submitted poems to select three winners. The first-place winner will receive a USD 3,000 cash prize; the second-place winner will receive USD 2,000; and the third-place winner will receive USD 1,000. In addition, all winners will be awarded certificates of appreciation. ICESCO will also publish an anthology featuring the winning poems as well as other honorable mentions from the competition. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Hannah El Zahed Reveals Near-Death Experience Shooting Film "El Shater"
Yara Sameh Egyptian actress Hannah El Zahed had a near brush with death while shooting scenes for her latest film, " El Shater ." In a recent conversation with "Al Arabiya" satellite TV Channel, El Zahed recalled she nearly drowned in a scene underwater, which required her to float and to stay put, she was tied down with iron. "People thought I was swimming, but the truth was, I was drowning," she explained. "The iron was very heavy, and I couldn't get to the surface on my own. They thought I was getting out, but I was actully dying,". "I was scared filming this scene," El Zahed noted, something common with her co-actor Mostafa Gharieb, who affirmed: "We were all scared of the scene. The only one who wasn't scared was Amir Karara." Karara explained that there was no cause for concern due to the professional divers underwater with them while shooting the scene, adding that El Zahed was feeling scared as the weight of the iron was too much for her. Released on July 16, the pic sees Karara returning to the action comedy genre for the second time since 2023's film "Baebae" (The Bogeyman). Ahmed El Gendy directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Karim Youssef. "El Shater" is co-produced by Synergy Films and Pyramids Productions and marks the first collaboration between Karara and El Zahed. The official logline for the film reads: "Adham (Karara) goes on an adventure and comedy trip to search for his brother with his friend Fattouh (Gharib) in Turkiye. During the trip, he meets Carmen (El Zahed), whose life changes 180 degrees after meeting her." The pic is competing at the box office with other films released around the same time, including "Ahmed and Ahmed," starring Ahmed El Sakka and Ahmed Fahmy; "Darwish," starring Amr Youssef and Dina El Sherbiny; and "Rocky El Ghalaba," starring Donia Samir Ghanem and Mohamed Mamdouh. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Rare Funerary Stele Handed Over to Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i Antiquities Zone by Archaeologist Tamer El-Menshawy
Ali abo deshish On the morning of July 24, 2025, Egyptian archaeologist Tamer El-Menshawy announced the handover of a rare funerary stele to the Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i Antiquities Zone. The artifact was delivered within the vicinity of the Mosque of Imam Al-Layth Ibn Sa'd, in preparation for its future display at the Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i Visitor Center. El-Menshawy stated that the stele was uncovered during construction work for the new Salah Salem Corridor near the Qubbat Al-Munoufi and the Imam Al-Shafi'i necropolis. He emphasized the significance of this artifact as a rare example of Egypt's funerary heritage. He extended his gratitude to Dr. Rania El-Shiouy, Director of the Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i Antiquities Zone, for her dedicated efforts in safeguarding both local and international heritage. El-Menshawy noted that preserving such artifacts echoes the practices of ancient Egyptians, who chose Anubis as the guardian of tombs — a symbolic reminder of the importance of protecting each piece of the nation's historical legacy. Additionally, the official page of the Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i Antiquities Zone confirmed the receipt of a fragment of the stele — possibly inscribed in Turkish or Persian — in collaboration with civil society. The piece, which had not been previously registered, was handed over by Mr. Tamer El-Menshawy and is now preserved at the zone. It will be reviewed by the relevant committees in the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Sector for study and potential registration. The department expressed its appreciation for his contribution and affirmed its ongoing commitment to safeguarding Egypt's priceless heritage. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
