Meanwhile, Lauren is being sued by her former yoga instructor for allegedly plagiarizing the instructor's children's book.
In the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ, Alanna Zabel alleges that Sánchez's children's book The Fly Who Flew To Space, which was published in August, substantially rips off her 2022 children's book Dharma Kitty Goes To Mars.
Zabel, who sent Sánchez two cease-and-desist letters ahead of the latter book's publication, claims to have contacted the high-profile entertainment reporter in 2022 to pitch a children's book concept about a cat who flies to Mars.
The yoga instructor, who says she taught Sánchez from 2007 to 2010, alleges in the lawsuit that the theft is related to Sánchez's 'continual and outrageous acts of jealousy' over the years.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Zabel and a representative for Sanchez to request comment.
Zabel accuses Sánchez of copying parts of her book to get back at her for quitting as her yoga instructor more than a decade ago.
The instructor, who notably filed her lawsuit without a lawyer, doesn't specify what kind of 'jealousy' Sánchez allegedly displayed.
However, she does accuse Sánchez of having 'always demonstrated a desire to appear like [Zabel], an authentic, independent, free-spirited, hard working and public service oriented yoga instructor.'
As she describes it, the relationship could have had a modest benefit for Bezos-affiliated charities, as she claims that the proceeds for the book would have benefitted the Bezos Earth Fund and Bezos Academy.
Bezos used $10 billion in 2020 to create the Bezos Earth Fund, which doles out grants to projects combating climate change and preserving nature spaces, with an emphasis on projects that will be completed within the current decade, rather than on more speculative, long-term projects.
The former Amazon CEO's Bezos Academy stresses the importance of preschool in children's development and works to build Montessori-style preschools in underserved communities.
In April, Zabel told DailyMail.com that she was furious when Sánchez announced her own children's book in January of 2023.
'I'm deeply offended, and I am taking legal action with the book,' she said at the time.
Zabel said that she had spent time at Sánchez's house while working as her instructor, and she had shared her love of children's books and even discussed the prospect of helping Sánchez write a children's book with her brother Michael.
She shared that she had ended her services for Sánchez due to relentless 'gossiping,' and added that she 'couldn't handle her personality anymore,' but Zabel added that the two had remained cordial in the subsequent years.
Zabel's suit claims that the media figure's book features more than 60 percent of similar text and story, though the methodology for arriving at that percentage is unclear.
However, as TMZ notes, several children's books have been released in 2024 alone about characters venturing into space.
There have also been multiple children's books featuring insects as main characters in the past year.
Zabel is known for teaching yoga to several of celebrity clients, including Maroon 5's Adam Levine and author Deepak Chopra.

'I clean crime scenes for a living – the smell of death is like nothing else'

A professional crime scene cleaner who encounters people's worst nightmares on a daily basis has revealed what job 'lives in her mind'. As part of a new Channel 4 series, Crime Scene Cleaners shows a behind-the-scenes look at a group of unsung heroes who battle hazardous situations and decomposed bodies. Looking at different cleaning teams from Kent, Reading, Somerset and Newcastle to Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, we see what crime scene cleaners do following murders, attacks or overdoses in drug dens. Among the cleaning experts featured in the series is Lauren Baker, a trauma cleaning expert based in Kent, who brings years of experience to some of the most harrowing and dangerous scenes imaginable. Speaking to Metro, Lauren explained how she first became involved in the business. 'I originally tried to give biohazard cleaning a go and did a course, then I didn't realise that these other elements – like cleaning dead bodies – came with it until we actually went and trained,' the mother-of-two said. 'The first job I ever did was a suicide. I went straight in at the deep end and it's always stuck with me because it was very, very calculated. The person had planned every step and left notes saying not to come in and we had to tell the family. 'So yeah, that lives in my head quite a lot. I'll never forget that. And there are other tough cases as well where I've come home and had a little cry in the shower and I've taken it home with me. But I am very headstrong and most of the time I'm able to come home, sit on the sofa and switch off.' Discussing the most shocking moments she has dealt with, Lauren added: 'You've got to be slightly tapped in the brain to do this job. You have got to be mentally strong. 'I didn't always have a strong stomach at first, I had to develop it. I used to gag quite a bit but I learnt that on the job. 'I've never refused to go in somewhere. The worse the better I think because I get a better satisfaction out of it. 'But in some cases there have been times where the smell of death just hits you and I've had to walk out for a second. 'The smell of death is so distinctive, it's like nothing else. I don't even know how to describe it to you. 'Sometimes after really bad cases I've gone home and washed myself three or four times but I can still smell it on my skin. Even though it's psychological I sometimes have to use dettol on my skin.' Lauren went on to say: 'I'm not really shocked anymore… But don't put a spider in front of me. I will have a meltdown. That's the only time I get really shocked or like when a rat runs across your foot.' Discussing whether it has affected her relationships, Lauren added that people only seem to be interested in talking about it to her. But, she added that her partner has to keep reminding her not to talk about dead bodies when they sit down for dinner. More Trending She also said this Channel 4 series is a way for her to push the word out there that people like her are not just cleaners, they are there for people in their darkest moments. Across 10 episodes the series tracks elite specialists from the UK to the US and features detectives and other forensic specialists who unpack the crime and analyse the scene. As well as cleaning up the mess, the cleaners help people get back to normal after the most traumatic events imaginable. Jeff Bezos & wife Lauren jet off for expensive honeymoon at White Lotus location

Newlyweds Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos leave their luxury wedding to embark on a multi-million dollar honeymoon at a famous hotel featured on The White Lotus season two Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos are rumoured to set sail on a luxury trip for their honeymoon after they tied the knot last week in a three-day multi-million dollar wedding celebration in Venice. The billionaire couple haven't publicly confirmed where they are going for their honeymoon, but a source has claimed they will stay in the area of Torcello before heading to Nicelli airport. The newlyweds are said to fly in a helicopter back to Bezos' $500 million superyacht, 'Koru,' where they will move on to Taormina in Sicily. ‌ The Daily Mail have reported that the couple fell in love with the town last year when they sailed along Sicily's coast and the Aeolian Islands. It is reported that Jeff and Lauren will anchor in Taormina and spend some time together at Four Seasons San Domenico Palace. ‌ The magnificent hotel is famous for being the primary location of The White Lotus season 2 and a suite can cost upwards of €7,000 a night. The hotel website states: 'Perched on a rocky promontory high above the Ionian Sea, San Domenico Palace, an exclusive five-star luxury hotel in Taormina, invites you to experience the charm of a reimagined 14th-century Sicilian convent.' Before setting off, the newlyweds were snapped beaming and waving goodbye as they left the Aman Venice hotel by boat on Sunday. Lauren cut a smart figure in a white dress with an elegant drape. She finished the look with a black hat and some stylish oversized sunglasses. Hubby Jeff looked just as smart in a navy t-shirt and sunglasses. On 27 June, the couple exchanged vows at the stunning San Giorgio Maggiore island, set against Venice's iconic lagoon. The ceremony unfolded in a black‑tie garden event—Lauren arrived in a cream Dior suit before switching into a custom Dolce & Gabbana lace gown, inspired by Sophia Loren and crafted over 900 hours. Around 200 high‑profile guests arrived by water taxi to witness the nuptials, including Oprah Winfrey, Kim & Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Tom Brady, Usher and Orlando Bloom. ‌ Shortly after the wedding, Lauren changed her Instagram handle to @laurensanchezbezos, confirming the newlyweds' joy to the world. The couple took three days out of their busy schedule to celebrate their wedding, which is believed to have cost close to £40million. And while the happy couple and their guests enjoyed the celebrations which went without a hitch, it seems not everybody was pleased that the retail giant had booked out the entire Italian city. An estimated 700 demonstrators gathered together at Santa Lucia train station armed with banners that read "If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax." The demonstration is believed to have been organised by the No Space For Bezos group. A few members of the group were seen laden with Amazon boxes that had the words "ordered, shipped, delivered, rejected" written on them.

The Bachelor star Laura Byrne reveals her bizarre find in a bag of chips: 'That's so rank'

Laura Byrne has taken to social media to share a bizarre discovery in a recently-bought bag of chips. The former Bachelor star, 39, posted a video to Instagram on Sunday showing a packet of chips she had purchased - with a surprise waiting inside. 'Ok... but wtf is that?' she captioned the post, which showed a strange potato creation in a packet of Kettle chips. 'I can't tell if this is an entire potato, a hash brown, I don't know what it is. Or a lot of chips that have gotten stuck on the conveyor belt together,' she could be heard saying in a follow-up clip. Her husband Matty 'J' Johnson, 37, who she met on the hit reality show in 2017, then asked if he could try a bite of the unidentifiable nugget. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'If you want to, go nuts. Would you? You're disgusting,' the Life Uncut podcast host said as Matty took a bite out of the bizarre find. Laura then played devil's advocate, saying: 'It's probably the best bit of all the chips. You know how like when they are really crunchy?' 'That's pretty good!' her husband announced, with his eyes wide with delight, before Laura proclaimed: 'That's so rank'. Laura recently made headlines for calling out her podcast host husband after he accidentally revealed the name of their unborn baby girl on-air. In June, the reality star was doing an 'ask me anything' questionnaire on her Instagram story when one of her followers brought up the moment, which she was seemingly unaware of. 'Did you punch Matt in the ovaries for revealing [your] baby name on Two Doting Dads?' the question read. Laura was clearly caught off-guard as she replied: 'He did f***ing what?!' Later on, the business owner, 39, brought up the blunder with her husband, 37, as they lay in bed together. 'Matt I have a question for you: did you say the girl's name, the baby's name, on the podcast?' she asked him in a clip posted to her Instagram story. He looked at his partner confused as he denied the accusation. 'I think you might have,' she told him, cheekily. 'I would never, never. Never would I say that,' he said defensively as the couple both broke out into giggles. Laura told the camera: 'People always ask us, "how do you know the limits when you're telling stories and stuff on the podcast?" and normally we're pretty good... Normally.' Matty began to pipe up as he sported a giant smile on his face, clearly telling a fib. 'Whoever is spreading this false information, shame on you, because that's not true at all,' he said. While Matty may have mentioned the little girl's name, it seems it was edited out of the podcast as it could later no longer be found. The couple already share little girls Marlie and Lola, and are expecting their third in October.
