Shalini Passi's red carpet appearance was nothing short of a visual spectacle. Adorned in a custom-designed Manish Malhotra gown, the ensemble was a living canvas, representing the essence of India with Paresh's visualization of India's Longitude The gown featured a tapered corset and a stunning mermaid silhouette, with vivid landscapes and scenic imagery cascading down the fabric, representing India's diverse terrains. After that comes Karnataka's architecture, which includes the wonders of Hampi and the Mysore Palace, and it goes further down to Tamil Nadu's iconic sculpture of the Mahabalipuram elephant. There are also coconut trees that stand for Kerala and Tamil Nadu, with the painting ultimately merging into the Indian Ocean with a boat and a blue sea. "I wanted to capture the deepest emotions of God's creations, architecture, art, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and the diverse beauty and culture of our country. "With that inspiration in mind, Shalini customised her outfit, asking Manish Malhotra to make it," says Paresh Maity.
Beyond the red carpet, Shalini actively engaged in promoting Indian art and culture on the global stage. She participated in the panel discussion around 'India's Finest to the World: Through Art', curated by Longitude 77 and moderated by film critic Anupama Chopra. As per the court's order, Shami has been directed to pay ₹ 1.5 lakh per month to Jahan and ₹ 2.5 lakh to Aaira. Jahan, speaking to PTI, expressed mixed feelings about the verdict. 'The lifestyle that Shami Ahmed lives ₹ 4 lakh is less. We had demanded ₹ 10 Lakh every month for seven years and four months back. Now that the cost of things has also increased, we will go for 'CAVEAT'.' She added that while she respects the court's decision, she believes her daughter's future and her own needs warrant a higher amount. Her earlier plea for ₹ 10 lakh per month - ₹ 7 lakh for herself and ₹ 3 lakh for Aaira - had been rejected by a lower court.

DU to begin ECA admission trials from July 18 across multiple colleges
New Delhi: Delhi University has released the trial schedule for admissions under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) category. The trials will be held at various colleges from July 18 to July 26, 2025, for most activities. According to the schedule, trials will be conducted in over a dozen categories, including debate, theatre, dance, music, digital media, fine arts, and yoga. Each category has a sub-category, further distinguishing the activities into specific domains. Notably, trials for debate (Hindi) and Indian vocal music will start on the first day, July 18. For instance, Ramjas College will host the debate (English and Hindi) trials from July 18 to 26, while Miranda House is the centre for theatre trials. Mata Sundri College is the venue for dance and yoga trials, and Bharati College will host trials for Indian vocal and instrumental music. The university has advised applicants to appear at their allotted slots based on registration numbers, and no second chance will be given after the trial dates lapse for any category.

However, it's not. The video is fake and generated by artificial intelligence (AI). This AI-generated video shows the rapid advancements in generative AI, making it challenging to distinguish between real and AI-generated content. "This is more indian than being indian. we are cooked," another added.
