Madison LeCroy on her excitement over becoming a girl mom after giving birth

New York Post7 hours ago
Madison LeCroy is a (southern) mom of two.
The reality star, 34, who welcomed her second child, daughter Teddi, with husband Brett Randle on Sunday, June 29, opened up about becoming a girl mom for the first time.
LeCroy also shares son, Hudson, 12, with her ex-husband, Josh Hughes.

'I would say, obviously, I've experienced the boy mom and it's a true thing, so I'm super excited to be a girl mom for the first time,' she exclusively told The Post on Wednesday, just three days after giving birth.
'Everything's pink and girly. I'm already just having such a blast,' LeCroy gushed. 'So I know it's just going to get better each day. I didn't think I was going to get both, to be honest. So I'm very lucky to be able to experience it.'

Hudson, meanwhile, couldn't be happier to welcome a little sibling into their family.
'Honestly, at first I was a little worried he was going to be jealous,' LeCroy confessed. 'But, of course, he's just taken on the role where he's almost a little bit more protective than me already. So I am happy to see it. And I know he's going to be the best big brother ever. She's very lucky to have him.'
Through it all, the 'Southern Charm' star has Randle, whom she tied the knot with in 2022, by her side.
'Not that he ever told me 'no' anyways, but he's definitely not told me 'no' in the past eight or nine months,' she shared. 'Anything I want or we need, he's on top of it. He's been being there for me and doing things without me even having to ask. I know I picked the right one when you end up expecting a child with them and you realize how it's going to be. I definitely feel like I hit the lottery with that.'

LeCroy underwent a C-section at 34 weeks, but despite going into labor early, she was ready to enter the hospital at any moment.
'I had full glam, so I made sure to have a blowout and I made sure to have light, fresh face of makeup, just for pictures' sake,' she recalled. 'I definitely think that for me, good hair and good makeup is all I can do for now.'
LeCroy also touched on the best piece of motherhood advice she's received, and it came from someone very special to her: her late father Ted LeCroy, who died in 2023.

'Just have grace for yourself,' LeCroy stated. 'Obviously, when it comes to your children, let them be individually who they are going to be and don't try to live through them too much. My dad would always say, 'Don't kill their spirit.' Whether that means they're a little unhinged or not just let them be who they're going to be. I'm definitely going to take that into consideration.'
Fans can expect to see the former hairstylist step into her new role as mom-of-two on the next season of 'Southern Charm.'
As for who from the cast was supportive throughout LeCroy's pregnancy, the influencer shouted out her close besties.

'The girls have always been there for me,' she expressed. 'So I would say Venita [Aspen] has always been there. Rodrigo [Reyes] and Salley [Carson], of course. So everyone's been pretty, pretty great.'
On Thursday, LeCroy opened up about her birth experience while talking to US Weekly.
'I was in labor for 48 hours basically [because] my water broke at home,' she recounted.

LeCroy added that she began going into labor at 2:30 a.m. after being out at a concert for her mom's birthday. At the time, Randle, who is a firefighter, was at work in California.
'I ran upstairs, and I was like, 'Mom, I don't have anything packed,'' LeCroy said. 'It was funny 'cause me and her both were like in my closet trying to pick out what we were gonna wear to the hospital.'
'We kind of prolonged the labor, and Brett got here and then we waited another day and had the C-section, and there she was five minutes later.'

LeCroy had the perfect song for Teddi to make her entrance into the world.
'My doctor, she's amazing. And at this point she was, like, a friend, and we were sitting there talking and we were like, 'What [is[the playlist gonna be for this?'' she detailed. 'And we were joking around, we're like, 'Girl power, let's go Taylor Swift.' So we did, we rocked out to Taylor Swift during the surgery.'
LeCroy elaborated, 'So that's what she was born to. Now don't ask me what song, because at that point I don't have no idea. But yeah, girl mode all the way.'

Teddi — who is named after LeCroy's late father — ended up spending a 'few days' in the NICU due to 'protocol' for babies who are born early.
'She's a little. She's only five pounds, but she's breathing on her own and hasn't needed any oxygen or anything like that. She's kind of a little trooper,' LeCroy revealed. '[Doctors] were shocked with how early she was that she was gonna be this independent. So I was like, 'Oh, I wasn't shocked at all.''

This SteelSeries headset might be the perfect, cutesy set of cans for cozy gamers on TikTok — here's why

If you spend a lot of time on YouTube, TikTok or even Instagram, you may be familiar with the 'cozy gaming' phenomenon. If you don't, allow me to explain. Any game that focuses or emphasizes on relaxation and promotes stress-free gaming is considered a cozy game. These have been around for a long, long time — think Zoo Tycoon. Cozy gaming gained massive popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, and with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it hasn't gone away, with many TikTokers and YouTubers streaming themselves playing such titles with chill music playing in the background and often wearing cutesy headsets. I've just tested a headset that looks like it belongs on a cozy gamer's desk: the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is an extremely comfortable gaming headset thanks to its memory foam earcups, and it comes with a detailed companion app that offers 200+ game-tailored presets — most of which work excellently. The detachable mic is loud and clear too. Why, you ask? It's a fantastic headset that creates immersive soundscapes regardless of the game you're playing, putting you right into the middle of the action — or in the case cozy gaming, non-action. And it looks very cute too, available in a couple fun colorways. If you're on the hunt for a great gaming headset, let me introduce you to the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless... Unlike SteelSeries' other headsets which are usually available in boring black and white colorways, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless comes in two popping colors: Lavender and Aqua. Very girly pop indeed. SteelSeries kindly sent us both colors and I have to say, I absolutely love the Lavender model. It might be the cutest headset I've had the pleasure of using. All I need is a pair of clip-on cat ears. But don't let looks deceive you; the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is as powerful as it is cute. It's fitted with 40mm Neodymium drivers and features spatial audio, both of which work in conjunction to create immersive soundscapes. There's also a companion app which includes 200+ game-tailored EQ presets, each adding a new element of sound. I tested the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless for a week, and regardless of the game I played, the headset ensured I heard every soft and loud sound in all its glory. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, for instance, I loved listening to raindrops falling on the river's surface, or the wind blowing through and displacing blades of grass, a wave of calm washing over me. I wouldn't say TotK is necessarily a cozy game as there are many (stressful) battles involved, but when you're riding your horse through the lush fields of Hyrule or paragliding after jumping off a Skyview Tower, it sure feels cozy. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. And the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless does justice to every single sound and musical note in the game, making you feel like you're actually Link. If you've got a stressful job or really, just enjoy playing cozy games to unwind, I'd highly recommend the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless to fully immerse yourself and disconnect from the outside world. Alongside from sounding incredible, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is a mighty comfortable headset. Its 'AirWeave' memory foam earcups are spacious and they sit snugly around your ears, isolating outside noise too. Also, they're extremely breathable, so you don't need to worry about your ears getting too hot or sweat pooling up — as is often the case with leather or leatherette earcups. I also have to say that for cozy gamers who like to livestream their content on TikTok or YouTube, the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is perfect as it comes with a detachable bidirectional boom mic — so don't worry if you don't have an external microphone. It makes you sound loud and clear, and it even reduces external sounds thanks to its noise-canceling nature (you can listen to two clips in my SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless review). Okay, I wouldn't call myself a purveyor of cozy gaming exclusively. I spend a good chunk of my free time playing games like Baldur's Gate 3 and the Assassin's Creed franchise, but I'd be lying if I didn't get the appeal of cozy games. I, too, want to sit in a dark room lit up by string lights and candles (no, I am not a witch) and wear a cutesy headset and play Tiny Glade, Journey and even Good Pizza, Great Pizza. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? Imagine kicking your feet back and unwinding, and letting the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless transport you to a world where stress is a thing of the past. And to be honest, any game is a cozy game if you're brave enough. I'd even argue that Baldur's Gate 3 has cozy aspects to it — companions gathered around a fire when you're long resting, hello! If you want a gaming headset that a) completes the cozy gamer look and b) makes games sound so good that real life sounds boring, then go for the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless. If anything, this headset has made me actively want to play cozy games and disassociate from reality.
