Pedro brace sends Chelsea into Club World Cup final
The 23-year-old Brazilian forward, signed from Brighton & Hove Albion for £60m last week, curled home a fabulous strike in the 18th minute before sealing the win with a brilliant finish following a counter-attack early in the second half.
Chelsea will face Real Madrid or Paris St Germain, who meet in the second semifinal on Wednesday, in Sunday's final.

A Zulu in New York: Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose enjoys time in the US [PICS]
Khuzani linked up with retired footballer Siphiwe Tshabalala, who is also at the Fifa Club World Cup in the US. In the classic 90s track Jamaican in New York, Jamaican performer Shinehead sings about how much of an alien he feels in the US city. However, for South African leading Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose, things seem to be going swimmingly well for him in the US as he enjoys the Fifa Club World Cup. Maskandi music is a type of isiZulu folk music that occasionally incorporates Western influences, such as electronic beats. At the core of the Maskandi sound are the guitar riffs and, occasionally, the concertina sound that guide the tune. Khuzani is one of the most prominent artists included in the Bhinca Nation playlist, which has been the go-to destination for contemporary Maskandi music. The playlist has grown by more than 3 000% since 2022 and now averages more than 2 million streams each month, according to the streaming platform. Superb Dembele boosts PSG's Club World Cup dreams
Paris St Germain manager Luis Enrique will hope to count on striker Ousmane Dembele for Sunday's Club World Cup finale against Chelsea, after a stunning 4-0 thrashing over Real Madrid in the tournament's penultimate stage. The Ballon d'Or front-runner rested the entire group stage after sustaining a thigh injury and was limited to substitute appearances in earlier knockout rounds, getting his first start of the tournament on Wednesday against the LaLiga titans. He made an immediate impact, aiding Fabian Ruiz in the opening goal in the sixth minute before sending one into the net three minutes later at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Luis Enrique previously told reporters that he believed Dembele is deserving of the Ballon d'Or, and on Wednesday said there was no doubt that the Frenchman had once again shown himself worthy of soccer's top individual honour.

'Not our player' – Chiefs boss breaks silence on Percy Tau snub
Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has hinted at the reason behind the club's decision not to sign Percy Tau. The 31-year-old forward is now a free agent after leaving Qatar in May. In June, he was heavily linked with Amakhosi, but nothing materialised. During an interview with Robert Marawa, Tau admitted that he would be keen to join Kaizer Chiefs if the right offer were made. In terms of numbers, the former Brighton and Hove forward said anything around R450 000 per month can be enough. Motaung though pointed out that when a player starts talking about money before the club approaches, the player is not suited for Chiefs. 'Our industry is funny. When you want a player and when we start talking (and) you start talking about money first, he's not coming to our club. That's not your player,' Motaung said on Smash Sports YouTube Channel. 'When you love the game, money will come. If you say, 'This is the club I want to play for' (we'll discuss other things later). The Chiefs boss felt tha when a player talks money first, he no longer plays for the love of the game. 'But if you start off by saying, 'How much are you giving me?' That person is no longer playing for the game. The industry taught me that. The issue of salary… Yes, you need money, I need to pay school fees, maintanance, but the thing of loving people, sacrifice is hard. It's something deep. If you don't have the right spirit, you can run away or quit,' Motaung added. Besides Tau, Kaizer Chiefs were also linked to several Bafana Bafana stars like Mihlali Mayambela and Fawaaz Basadien.
