‘Project Runway' Returns With a Disney Princess Twist and a Shocking Exit!
What to know about the Disney princess-themed Season 21 premiere of 'Project Runway'
August is National Princess Month, and what better way to celebrate than by watching a Disney Princess-themed episode of Project Runway? In it, the new designers are divided into two teams, one of which is tasked with creating a princess-themed dress, while the other is tasked with creating outfits for their counterparts, the villains.
And while all the dresses were beautiful, one designer was sent home—and to make matters worse, this wasn't the first time this had happened to her.
Caycee Black is a 44-year-old designer who first appeared in Season 19 of Project Runway. She was sent home after the first round of competition, which really upset her.
'Being eliminated in the first challenge, I didn't get to show who I was as a person, as a designer, as an artist,' Black said in the most recent episode of Project Runway. 'I'm just hoping to prove who I am.'
Sadly, though she never got the chance as she was sent home after Klum, the judge and host decided that her princess dress design didn't fit the theme.
'It's very lackluster in terms of shape and everything,' Klum, 52, explained. 'I want to see more design. It's not inspiring.'
Law Roach, another judge who is famous for styling Zendaya, told Black that 'I just think it was a miss because you had everything to make something so beautiful and so fairytale-like and you kind of missed it.'
They then decided to send her home at the beginning of the second part of the season premiere and Black was devastated, especially because she thought her design was totally fine.
'I'm just in shock a bit right now. I actually really loved my dress,' she explained. 'Being in this position again, I never thought I'd be in the bottom three at this stage in the competition again. After being eliminated in episode one of another season, it just feels like a bad joke. I don't want to go home. I can't go home. I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.'
Following her departure, Black then did a confessional interview where she detailed just how devastating it was for her to get eliminated in episode one again.
'I'm beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look,' she said. 'It feels harsh to leave at this stage of the competition again. Project Runway is an experience I will never forget, and I'm probably finished with as of now.'

Season 21 of Project Runway will air every Thursday on Freeform—previously named ABC Family—at 9 p.m. EST. It will then be available for streaming every Friday on both Hulu and Disney+, a place where you can also stream previous seasons as well.

Cops called as Denise Richards shows up at ex's home amid restraining order
The cops were called on Denise Richards Sunday when the reality star allegedly showed up at the home of her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, despite a restraining order the reality star has taken out amid their divorce battle. A divorce lawyer for the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' alum, 54, told TMZ that Richards only arrived at the Calabasas home Sunday 'after confirming that Mr. Phypers was not present,' and did so 'to retrieve her dogs after learning that Mr. Phypers had put down one of her other dogs without her knowledge or permission.' Phypers, who denies Richards' recent claims of longstanding physical abuse, told the outlet that everything the 'Wild Things' star claimed was 'absolutely false. 'Denise's actions are willfully intentional in the slander and destruction of what is left of a family,' continued the 52-year-old 'frequency medicine' practitioner. 'This is after Denise chose to carry on an adulterous affair — after being caught not once, not twice, but three times.' Photos published by the outlet show the OnlyFans star speaking to a trio of deputies outside the home, which is owned by Phypers, his parents and brother. One image shows Phypers speaking to one of the officers, while another shows him hugging his elderly mother. Phypers, who wed Richards in 2018, filed for divorce July 7, three days after he said they separated. Richards has claimed he 'would frequently violently choke' her and subject her to other forms of physical abuse, including leaving her with a black eye in 2022. She was granted a restraining order against Phypers, which lasts until their scheduled court appearance on Aug. 8, and orders him to stay 100 yards from Richards, her home, car and place of business. Richards last week accused Phypers of disseminating her texts and illegally leaking her nude photos. 'Mr. Phypers has continued to harass Ms. Richards since being served with the Temporary Restraining Order by, among other things, disseminating private information from Ms. Richards' cell phone and laptop, which he stole,' her lawyer alleged in a statement to multiple outlets in late July. 'These actions continue to disturb Ms. Richards' peace. … Ms. Richards will not be responding to Mr. Phypers' false allegations in a public forum and will be addressing Mr. Phypers' abuse in Court.'

Spider-Punk Is Getting His Own Animated Movie
Spider-Man Day 2025 has come and gone, bringing some nuggets about Tom Holland's live-action return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day next year. But today brings news of a Spider-Man movie we're actually even more excited about: a standalone animated movie centered around Spider-Punk, co-written by Daniel Kaluuya, who voiced the character in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Deadline broke the news of the Oscar-winning actor's new project (lately, all his headlines have been regarding that bizarre yet intriguing Barney movie he's got in the works), which is said to be 'in early development.' Kaluuya would co-write with Ajon Singh; 'plot details are under wraps, and there are no other deals in place at this time.' It's also not confirmed that Kaluuya would voice the character, but you have to assume that's in the cards. Spider-Punk has been around since 2015's The Amazing Spider-Man #10, when he was created by writer Dan Slott and artist Olivier Coipel for a Spider-Verse comics crossover. As the trade reminds us, Hobie Brown is 'a version of Spider-Man who leans into a more anarchistic, anti-establishment attitude than Peter Parker's version. Residing on Earth-138, the character is fueled by his desire to help take down corrupt systems.' A Spider-Punk movie sounds like just the Spider-Movie we need right now, in other words.
