Lewis Capaldi releases new music amid speculation of Glastonbury set

The 28-year-old last performed at Glastonbury in 2023 before taking a break citing anxiety and announced on New Year's Eve the same year that he planned to take a hiatus to focus on his health.
He has released a new song titled Survive and alongside a video montage, with the song playing, he wrote on Instagram: 'It's been a while…'.

On New Year's Eve in 2023, Capaldi said in a lengthy Instagram post that he would 'continue taking some time to carry on looking after myself' following the announcement he would take a break from touring after struggling with his voice during his Glastonbury Festival set earlier in the year.
Capaldi explored how the pressures of fame have affected him mentally and physically in the Netflix documentary Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now which was released in April 2023.

Keith Urban abruptly quits interview after awkward Nicole Kidman question

Keith Urban abruptly ended a live radio interview today, after an 'uncomfortable' question about wife Nicole Kidman came up. The Blue Ain't Your Color singer, 57, has been married to the Babygirl actress for nearly 20 years, and they have welcomed two daughters together in that time. The couple, who tied the knot in 2006, have kept much of their relationship behind closed doors, so the Grammy-winner didn't seem too thrilled when he was asked about watching some of the 58-year-old's steamiest sex scenes. During an appearance on Hayley & Max in the Morning, on Mix 102.3, things took a turn when he played a game with hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford. 'In our Wall of Truth, Keith, we often get put into this situation where we have to answer a very tricky question, deeply personal question,' Hayley informed him. 'I get really uncomfortable, to be honest, asking our beautiful guests something they might feel uncomfortable [answering].' Clearly in good spirits, Keith quickly interjected: 'What about the ugly ones?' 'Not you, Keith. No ugly guests on today,' Max replied, to which their guest could be heard laughing. 'The way the Wall of Truth works is that you just have to answer this question truthfully. 'When I was coming up with something to ask you, Keith Urban, if you're happy to play this game – the first thing I thought of, with your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being on so many great movies, TV shows, all the time… 'I watched a movie with her and Zac Efron, A Family Affair.' 'Oh yeah, that's a good one,' the singer proudly praised. However, things took a turn when Max questioned: '[I thought], 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?'' The query was met with silence from Keith's end, before it was confirmed that he had left the call. 'He's just disconnected from Zoom,' a man – thought to be a producer – said. 'I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question.' 'That's 100 percent what's just happened,' Hayley remarked. 'I knew that would happen … We've upset him! He's gone. 'He doesn't like talking about his wife.' Nicole and Keith have been together since 2005, and walked down the aisle together the following year. They share daughters Sunday Rose and Faith together, while the Big Little Lies actress previously adopted children Bella and Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Although they have kept much of their romance away from the spotlight, the Oscar-winner couldn't help but celebrate their 19-year wedding anniversary last month, sharing a loved-up snap on Instagram. 'Happy Anniversary Baby @KeithUrban,' she simply captioned the post. In recent years, Nicole has basically been everywhere – thanks to roles in The Perfect Couple, Spellbound, Holland and racy Netflix movie A Family Affair, in which she embarks on a romance with Zac, who plays her daughter's needy boss. At the beginning of 2025, she also led the way in steamy erotic thriller Babygirl, opposite Harris Dickinson, and shared how much filming took out of her, declaring that she suffered 'burnout' during the shoot. More Trending She said at the time: 'There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don't want to orgasm any more.' ''Don't come near me. I hate doing this. I don't care if I am never touched again in my life! I'm over it.' 'It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.' Metro has contacted Keith's reps for a comment. Charli XCX in row with ‘boomers' over Glastonbury autotune

The British singer Charli XCX accused 'boomers' of being boring after she was criticised for using autotune at Glastonbury. The Grammy-winning musician, 32, denied that performing live with the pitch correction software 'makes you a fraud' following social media criticism of her set at Worthy Farm on Saturday night. Writing on her X account, she said: 'Really enjoying these boomer vibe comments on Glastonbury performance. It's super fascinating to me. 'Like the idea that singing with deliberate autotune makes you a fraud or that not having a traditional band suddenly means you must not be a 'real artist' is like, the most boring take ever. Yawn sorry just fell asleep xx.' A number of festival-goers, or those who watched the gig live on the BBC, accused Charli XCX of 'barely singing'. One wrote on X: 'This Glastonbury set by Charli XCX is one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life. Barely singing, autotune in the rare moments she does sing a bit and horrendous dancing.' Another wrote: 'One thing I will never understand is why Charli XCX is as big as she is, s—e music, sounds so bad she has to sing with so much autotune every time she performs live. What am I missing here?' Charli XCX, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, responded to the critiques explaining that she 'enjoys the discourse' around the use of autotune. 'The best art is divisive' She explained: 'Imo [in my opinion], the best art is divisive and confrontational and often evolves into truly interesting culture rather than being like kind of ok, easily understood and sort of forgettable.' Her breakout album Brat became a cultural phenomenon last year, spawning viral hits, TikTok memes, Collins Dictionary's Word of the Year and three Grammy awards. The electropop musician has been well-known for her use of autotune in her music, previously stating on Saturday Night Live that it 'makes everything sound better'. 'Today, I consider myself to be a triple threat, which in England means I sing, I drink and I smoke,' Aitchison quipped in her monologue. 'I want to take a moment to thank someone who's been there for me my entire career: AutoTune.' However, the artist has also spoken about how the software has made her 'lazy' and less able to sing in tune when live. Speaking on the Tape Notes Podcast with producers AG Cook and George Daniel last year, she said: '[In my] early work, I can – I could sing in tune, but now I think I've gotten so lazy because I sing with autotune all the time. 'Like I never [go], 'I'm not singing with autotune'. Unless I'm doing karaoke, which I actively don't do, for this reason. I'm pretty out [of pitch] because my ear is so used to leaning in.' However, others watching her set on Saturday night said they 'loved' the use of her autotune. 'She knows her way around it, knows how to sing with it and manipulate it to create this fantastic sound that is entirely unique to her. It's the opposite of lazy, she's incredibly intentional,' one fan said on social media.
