TTD to observe ‘Anivara Asthanam' tomorrow

Tirupati: TirumalaTirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up for the annual observance of Anivara Asthanam on July 16, a long-standing temple tradition that marks the formal transition to a new accounting year at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara. Unlike many of the more visibly grand religious celebrations in Tirumala, Anivara Asthanam unfolds within the sanctum sanctorum with solemnity and spiritual purpose. It is during this internal ritual that the TTD's principal officers submit the previous year's financial accounts before the deity, seeking divine approval to continue in their respective roles. The ritual reflects the Agamic concept of 'Asthanam,' or divine court, underscoring the Lord's authority in temple administration. Historically, this ritual originated during the period when Mahants oversaw the temple's management. It was then held on the final day of the Tamil month of Ani — hence the name 'Anivara Asthanam' — signalling the start of financial preparations for the coming year. On the day, new account ledgers are ceremonially introduced, and key administrative symbols, including the sacred coffer key-bunch known as 'Lachana,' are placed at the feet of the presiding deity. The Jeeyangar Swamijis will present new garments to the Moolavirat and to the utsava murtis of Lord Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi, who are placed on Sarvabhoopala Vahanam within the sanctum, accompanied by Viswaksena. A special ritual known as 'Rupayi Harati' follows, wherein temple staff involved in the proceedings each offer a rupee as symbolic submission, and the total offerings are then tallied in the presence of the TTD Executive Officer. As part of the festival arrangements, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, the traditional purification of the sanctum and temple surroundings, will be carried out on July 15 from 6 am, using herbal ingredients called 'Parimalam'. Due to this, devotees will be allowed for darshan after 12 noon on July 15. Also, VIP Break Darshan and select Arjitha Sevas stand cancelled. In the evening on July 16. Pushpa Pallaki procession will be conducted, adding a visual flourish to the otherwise administrative and spiritually symbolic observance.

He said it is now incumbent on the two sides to address other aspects related to the border, including de-escalation. He also called for avoiding restrictive trade measures and roadblocks are avoided. Jaishankar, who is in China to attend SCO Foreign Ministers Meeting, said that stable and constructive ties between India and China are not only for mutual benefit, but that of the world as well. 'Our bilateral relationship requires that we take a far-seeing approach to our ties. Since our leaders' meeting in Kazan in October 2024, the India-China relationship has been gradually moving in a positive direction. Our responsibility is to maintain that momentum,' he said. 'In recent times, the two of us have had several opportunities to meet at international events and carry out strategic communication. It is our expectation that this will now be regular and take place in each other's countries,' he added. Jaishankar said that this year marks the 75th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China. 'We appreciate that the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra has also resumed after a gap of five years. I thank the Chinese side for their cooperation on this matter,' he said. It is now incumbent on us to address other aspects related to the border, including de-escalation,' he added. India and China reached agreement on patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control in India-China border areas in Depsang and Demchok on 21 October 2024, leading to disengagement from all the friction points of 2020. Jaishankar said that there are various facets and dimensions of bilateral ties. 'Measures towards normalizing our people - to - people exchanges can certainly foster mutually beneficial cooperation. It is also essential in this context that restrictive trade measures and roadblocks are avoided. I hope to discuss these issues in further detail,' he said. The minister called for handling bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual interest and sensitivity. 'Stable and constructive ties between India and China are not only to our benefit, but that of the world as well. This is best done by handling relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity. We have also earlier agreed that differences should not become disputes, nor should competition ever become conflict. On this foundation, we can now continue to develop our ties along a positive trajectory,' he said. He hoped that zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld at the SCO Foreign Ministers' meeting. 'Our meeting today will also include an exchange of views on global and regional issues. Tomorrow, we will be meeting in the format of the SCO, whose primary mandate is to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism. This is a shared concern and India hopes that zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld,' he said. 'As Foreign Minister, you have been long responsible for our overall bilateral relations. I am happy to have this in-depth discussion on the state of our ties in an era of profound change. I look forward to a constructive and forward-looking exchange of views,' he added. He wished the Chinese side a successful SCO Presidency. (ANI)

"India has shown that if terrorists come to our home and commit a crime...": CM Mohan Yadav hails Op Sindoor in UAE

Dubai [UAE], July 15 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, on Monday, lauded the Indian armed forces for conducting Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack, asserting that India has shown that it can neutralise anyone who comes and commits a crime on its land. While addressing the 'Madhya Pradesh Business Investment Forum' Program, CM Yadav described Operation Sindoor as the age of 'new technology' where the people have not crossed the border, but drones are attacking each other. 'In the changing times, India has shown that if terrorists come to our home and commit a crime, we can kill them by going to their home. In any war, wherever it happens, trade will always decrease there. Because both things can't go together,' he added. The 'Madhya Pradesh Business Investment Forum Program' took place in the UAE on Monday. At the commencement of the event, the guests were honoured with flowers and shawls. The program was attended by several dignitaries such as Sahitya Chaturvedi, Secretary General of IBPC Dubai, Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan, and senior bureaucrats. At the beginning of the event, Raghwendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion and Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Madhya Pradesh delivered a detailed speech on the various avenues for investments and how the friendly policies of the government make Madhya Pradesh a great hub for it. Principal Secretary Kumar highlighted that there are several areas where investment can take place in Madhya Pradesh. Kumar listed food processing, automobile, electric vehicles, textiles, garments, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, Chemical APIs, logistics, and warehousing. 'All of these sectors have immense potential for investments,' Kumar said. Notably, Yadav is scheduled to travel to Spain after concluding his visit to the UAE.
