
Bahrain's Sunni Endowments Council Announces Eid al-Fitr Prayer Arrangements
The administration has confirmed that Eid prayer sites across the Kingdom are fully prepared to welcome worshippers. A special committee, formed by Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajri, has identified the main locations where the prayers will be held, including designated areas for expatriate communities in various schools across Bahrain.
Following a dedicated meeting, the committee has outlined the distribution of prayer sites as follows:
1. East Hidd (Hay Al-Julai'a) – The Noor Prayer Ground (Al-Kooheji Mosque), Fatima bint Fahd Al-Muslim Mosque, and Ahmed Abdullah Al-Khaja Mosque will be closed.
2. Hidd City (Block 111) – No nearby mosques will be closed.
3. Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery) – Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al-Ghawi Mosque, and Thabiya bint Rashid Mosque in Busaiteen (Areef) will be closed.
4. Busaiteen (Sayah Beach) – The Mothers of the Believers Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality) will be closed.
5. Arad (Arad Fort) – No nearby mosques will be closed.
6. Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking lot of Souq Al Baraha) – Souq Al Baraha Mosque will be closed.
7. Salmaniya – No nearby mosques will be closed.
8. North Riffa (near Independence Walk) – Abu Al-Fateh Mosque will be closed.
9. East Riffa (Riffa Fort) – Al-Qalaa Mosque, Sheikha Lulwa bint Fares Al Khalifa Mosque, Sheikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Souq Mosque), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al-Ghatam Mosque will be closed.
10. Hajiyat (Road 2930, Block 929) – Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque will be closed.
11. Hajiyat (Mega Mart parking area, Road 3918, Block 939) – No nearby mosques will be closed.
12. Askar (Heritage Village) – No nearby mosques will be closed.
13. Zallaq (Tamkeen Youth Center) – No nearby mosques will be closed.
14. Hamad Town (Roundabout 17, opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Center) – Musab bin Umair Mosque, Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque, and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan Mosque will be closed.
15. Hamad Town Youth Center (Roundabout 2) – Hamad Town Mosque, Ramlah bint Abi Sufyan Mosque, and Umm Salama Mosque will be closed.
16. Budaiya – Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Mousa Mosque will be closed.
17. Salman City (northern seafront, Road 8101, Block 581) – Mohammed Abdullah Bahloul Mosque, Fatima Al-Khaja Mosque, Salman City Cabin Mosque 1, and Salman City Cabin Mosque 3 will be closed.
18. New Ramli Housing – Moza bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi Mosque will be closed.
The administration confirmed that all necessary preparations, including carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, and water facilities, have been arranged to ensure a smooth prayer experience. A dedicated field team from the maintenance and engineering services department has been deployed to oversee these preparations.
The Sunni Endowments Council extended its sincere gratitude to various government entities that contributed to the preparations, including the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information, General Sports Authority, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Electricity and Water Authority, King Hamad Hospital, Bahrain Defence Force, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Works, and public hospitals, along with community organizations and expatriate guidance centers.

Free Ashura transportation service launched
The Jaafari Endowments Directorate has announced the launch of a free transportation service for mourners during the Ashura season of 1447 AH (2025 AD). The initiative includes a network of six main routes transporting participants to the Revival Center in the capital, Manama, and will operate from the night of the seventh until the night of the tenth of Muharram, daily from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. A trial run of the service began on the night of the fifth of Muharram at selected stations, as part of the Directorate's broader efforts to expand its services and facilitate the participation of mourners in commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Pickup stations The designated pickup stations are strategically located across key areas, including: Jidhafs – AlDaih and Jidhafs intersection; Al-Bilad Al-Qadeem – Al-Khamis intersection; Al-Burhama – near Siam Garage; Salmaniya – near Hayat Plaza Mall; Al-Qafool – near Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque (peace be upon him); and Central Manama – near Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq School and Isa Al-Kabeer Street. In addition to buses, the initiative includes the use of golf carts to transport elderly individuals, people with disabilities, the sick, and children within the procession routes and to and from the Manama ports. The service is being implemented in cooperation with Al Sadiq Transport. His Excellency Engineer Sayed Mohammed Jaafar Al Hussaini, a senior official with the Jaafari Endowments, highlighted the project's dual focus: easing traffic congestion in Manama and providing safe, accessible transportation.
