Dunelm's top interior design trends for 2025
Maximalism
Maximalism is about unleashing your creativity and bringing joy to everything around you, day in and day out. Bold pattern combinations of florals, checks and geometrics set the tone with a bright joyous colour palette that holds everything together.
Don't mistake Maximalism for having loads of stuff, it's about mixing and matching florals, layering key pieces and storytelling throughout your home, and ultimately doing things your own way. Dunelm's new collaboration with Sophie Robinson is all about that.
Minimaluxe
The interiors world has witnessed the evolution of "minimalism" into a richer, more luxurious iteration. The goal is quiet luxury - simplicity with a sense of sophistication.
Minimaluxe focuses on creating spaces that are pared down yet warm, elegant, and inviting. Gloriously tactile textures, in a palette of warm neutrals, with hints of caramel and gold, complete the look. Introducing softer forms and round edges to avoid a space feeling overly stark
The Edit
Built on the philosophy that having fewer thoughtfully designed and well-made things helps us leave a lighter imprint on the earth. Interior design is shifting to be inspired by the natural world, and all its perfect imperfections.
Take Dunelm's The Edited Life collection, it focuses on natural materials like wicker, jute and linens - as well as décor pieces and hand-thrown pottery vessels that feature forms dictated by the artisan's mark. Soft relaxed fabric textures mixed with uneven wood grains help bring this neutral, look together.
New Nouveau
Blending 19th century inspired maximalism with a contemporary colour palette this collection takes inspiration from the ornamental art form from the Nouveau era. Rich and luxurious, blending a little bit of history with a more modern aesthetic you can mix and layer into your home.
Stylised Lily motifs adorn sumptuous textiles and wallpapers mixed with marbling & stained glass vintage style lighting for a vintage inspired look, with a modern twist.
Facebook users were clearly left gobsmacked by the epic sale price of the eucalyptus tree, as Lisa's post has quickly racked up 236 likes and 33 comments.
Savvy savers were desperate to get their hands on the reduced find and many raced to the comments to express this.

Dunelm's 'vibrant' and 'super comfy' garden chairs reduced to £50
The loungers are reduced in a deal that makes each seat cost just over £24. When the weather gets dry and warm again, people will be eager to do one thing - make the most of it. For many, basking in the warm weather is the ultimate way to unwind during the summer - but you'll need proper seating to do it comfortably. Most probably snapped up garden furniture at the start of the season to make the most of recent scorching spells. However, if you missed out - or simply fancy upgrading your current outdoor seating - Dunelm has slashed prices on a pair of "vibrant" colourful loungers, promising "optimal comfort." The Helsinki Loungers are now available as a twin pack for £48.50, reduced from £69, meaning each seat works out at just over £24, reports the Mirror. This duo deal comes in exclusive colours - navy blue and lilypad green - that are unavailable when purchasing individual chairs. Dunelm wrote that these low-maintenance loungers"redefine outdoor comfort" thanks to adjustable backrests that allow for personalised reclining angles. Made from robust materials built to endure the elements, these loungers "promise longevity without compromising on style or comfort," according to Dunelm. Alternative options are available elsewhere for those seeking a quick solution to their garden seating needs - including the Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger (Argos, £45) or the Colorado Grey Metal Sun Lounger (B&Q, £35 down from £50). But, hundreds of customers have shared rave reviews online after purchasing the Dunelm garden set. One said: "Lovely comfy reclining chairs, I actually fell asleep in them!" Another added: "Great value and lovely colour. Sturdy, easy to assemble and store. Very comfy to sit in too!" A third wrote: "Sturdy, easy to set up and super comfy. Perfect colour to go with our garden décor too (true to ad pictures), and they don't take a ton of space when folded away in the garage. At that price for a pair, you can't go wrong with these!" However, a few customers encountered problems, with one claiming: "The cords that hold the seats to the frame are fraying heavily and have broken in several places. They are now unusable." Meanwhile, another suggested: "Very comfortable chairs although a little fiddly to open." Someone else pointed out: "The knobs that make them recline are plastic and so seem a bit fragile so not sure how long they will last. Also one of the chairs seems to very slowly go back to upright position, so have to keep adjusting it." Nevertheless, most reviews were glowing. One customer who gave five stars commented: "Love these loungers - easy to fold and unfold, very comfortable. The green goes beautifully in my garden." Another buyer posted: "Great design and very sturdy. Easy to use and move around the garden." Whilst someone else wrote: "The loungers are great, they are exactly the colour I wanted, comfortable and easy to use and no self assembly required and a great price."

Savvy homeowner shows ‘best Ikea hack yet' as she saves almost £2k on cheap LED shelving & elevates it using £3 lights
DRAB TO FAB Savvy homeowner shows 'best Ikea hack yet' as she saves almost £2k on cheap LED shelving & elevates it using £3 lights Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SAVVY homeowner has been hailed a genius after sharing what fans are calling the 'best IKEA hack yet". Gemma Markland, a home renovator who shares her stunning transformations on TikTok under Markland Home, wowed viewers with her ultra-chic built-in shelving display made entirely from budget buys. She carefully positioned the flat-pack shelves side-by-side, then used thin wooden boards to frame around the units, giving them a high-end, custom-built finish. After securing everything in place, she painted the entire unit, including the added trim, so it blended seamlessly into the wall. To take the look to the next level, she added a clever lighting trick that set social media alight. The final result was a luxe LED shelving unit that looks worth thousands, for just a fraction of the cost. 'Everyone's been asking about the lights,' she said in a follow-up video. 'They're from Amazon, just £3 each. You peel the stickers off the back and pop them into the shelves exactly where you want them.' The tiny lights are USB-chargeable, so no wiring is needed, and come with a motion sensor setting to save battery. The lights come in warm white, neutral white or cool white. 'They're even dimmable. It's made this space look so much more luxurious.' I swear by 7 cheap hacks to transform a newbuild house into a home - your shoes will never be left in a messy pile again And she's not wrong. Similar built-in shelving features with LED lighting can cost upwards of £2,000 from furniture specialists, while even cheaper pre-lit versions retail for around £800. By DIY-ing the project, Gemma has saved herself hundreds and won plenty of fans online. 'I love this,' one viewer gushed. Another added: 'This looks so beautiful and creative.' A third wrote: 'Stunning, it looks really expensive.' Gemma's viral IKEA hack proves you don't need a big budget to create a high-end look, just a bit of imagination, some clever lighting, and a trip to IKEA. She's not the only nifty homeowner showing off Ikea hacks. A mum has given her son's bedroom the ultimate makeover on a budget. Nichola Ryan was able to give her son's tiny room the ultimate transformation and even make sure he had more space too, The mum took to social media and posted a photo of her jaw-dropping project on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members. The DIY fan showed off the new room which featured navy walls along with a wooden panelled feature wall. However, the room was so small that it was difficult for the mum to find storage solutions that would fit in it. Luckily, she stumbled across a hack that meant she could turn the bed into a storage unit as well. Instead of buying a brand new bedframe for the transformation, she instead headed to Ikea to pick up a Kallax unit. The cubed storage unit costs £50 and the mum picked up two of them to turn it into the bedframe. Elsewhere, a clever shopper explained how she took advantage of Ikea's Buyback scheme and managed to get £164.50 back for a set of drawers she purchased two years ago.

Impressive £150 off ‘super comfortable' garden sofa set that's 'great value for money'
Impressive £150 off 'super comfortable' garden sofa set that's 'great value for money' Now might be the best time to pick up a garden furniture bargain before the sunshine returns Time to relax on a budget busting bargain that most shoppers say is comfortable and smart (Image: Dunelm) The weather this summer might have been a mix of sunshine and showers, and then a storm, but the forecast is for the sun to appear again and the garden or balcony to return as a favourite place to relax. Now might even be the time to find a garden furniture bargain and if a sociable sofa that offers the chance to stretch out as well as being practical sounds perfect, Dunelm has a set that's been reduced by just under £150. The Compact Natural Corner Sofa Lounger Set is now in the clearance sale, reduced by 30% from £499 to £349.30 from Dunelm. READ MORE: Next's new £38 reversible bedding that 'makes room feel like a luxury hotel' YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE: Dunelm's 'super comfy' garden chair lulls shoppers into sleep, reviews say The set is comprised of one, two seater sofa, one lounger with a handy side shelf, plus a coffee table and is made from aluminium, polywood, polyester, polyurethane foam and rattan. Dunelm's product details state the set is 'built to endure, this set features a durable, non-rusty aluminium frame and a sleek glass top coffee table, adding practical elegance to your space'. However most buyers would consider at least covering the set to protect it from bad weather, or even better, taking it into a garage or a large shed. Comes as a sofa, a lounger and a glass top table so its practical and versatile as well as smart (Image: Dunelm) One customer says about the Dunelm sofa set: "Very happy with this purchase. Looks high quality and is very comfortable. Was easy to build myself. Perfect addition to the garden." Another reviewer agrees, saying: "Lovely and very comfortable, arrived well packaged and on time. Very easy to put together and it is worth the price." But one buyer was less than impressed with the experience of constructing the set, commenting: "It isn't difficult, just time consuming. It's doable on your own but would be much quicker if you have help even if that person just sorts out the bolts and washers for you as there's an awful lot." The design includes a rattan-style back to the sofa and lounger (Image: Dunelm) Alternatives to the Compact Natural Corner Sofa Lounger Set are the Argos Home 4 Seater Rattan Effect Garden Sofa Set in natural priced £320 and described by one customer as 'really comfortable' and the Keter Grey California 2 Seater Garden Chaise Lounge Set available from Next costing £385. But the Dunelm set is proving to be a hit with the majority of buyers, with one commenting: "Great set, easy to build and super comfortable! The set is compact but it isn't small, it's a good size and the neutral colour way means it went fine with our other garden furniture." The manufacturer states the covers can be wiped down to keep them clean (Image: Dunelm) The set includes a glass top coffee table that is obviously very versatile but also a well-designed lounger section which has a built-in side shelf for snacks and drinks so there's no need to get up to get eating and drinking. One customer's review goes into more detail, saying: "The frame is strong and sturdy, doesn't rattle or creak. The cushions are very high quality with decent padding and the fabric looks like it will last. The covers can also be removed to be washed which is a big bonus. The bottom cushions also strap on really securely too so there's no awkward sliding around." The thoughtful design includes a side shelf to the lounger that's perfect for snacks and drinks (Image: Dunelm) Article continues below Not every buyer is totally delighted with the Dunelm set, one reviewer states that they are only 'medium pleased', explaining: "Easy to assemble, looks good in the space. The only thing I'd say is it's not *that* comfortable, and the wipe down covers don't wipe down that well - not great if you've got kids with greasy mits!"
