Louisville weather: Severe thunderstorm warning issued as storms roll across Kentucky
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of western Jefferson County, in addition to New Albany and Corydon in Southern Indiana, until 3:30 p.m. on June 28.
Wind up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail were possible, according to the warning. Thunder and lightning were apparent in Louisville.
Hopkinsville and the Christian County area were also under a flash flood warning as of 3 p.m. on June 28 as afternoon storms swept over the commonwealth.
