2.20 Ayr – Class 5 Maiden Stakes (6f)
DODGE CITY (NAP) made his debut in undoubtedly the hottest maiden of the season at Newbury in May. Six horses from that race have gone on to score since – including Humidity, the subsequent winner of the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot – while several have placed.
Despite finishing 12th that day, Dodge City was three lengths in front of Do Or Do Not, who was runner-up in the Coventry Stakes at the Royal meeting. He looked to have bumped into another smart one when third on his next start, which was a decent improvement on his first appearance.
Brian Meehan's charge is taken to make it third time lucky at Ayr in what looks a very nice race for the grade.
Selection: Dodge City (2.20, Ayr) 1pt win @ SP with Betfred
4.05 Ayr – Class 4 Handicap (1m2f)
CRACKER STAR returns to the Flat following an unsuccessful stint over hurdles and he should be fresh enough following three months off.
The son of Cracksman has now joined Ewan Whillans' in-form yard, which is operating at a 25 per cent strike-rate over the past two weeks.
Making a case that Cracker Star is incredibly well handicapped off a mark of 73 is not difficult at all. He's been raised just 2lb for a short-head victory at Bath last June, but it's the run before that which makes most appeal.
Last May, Cracker Star chased home future Chester Cup winner and Triumph Hurdle third East India Dock at Salisbury, and two of the three horses he finished in front of while conceding weight are now rated 86 and 92. It's a competitive field, but Cracker Star looks to have a solid chance.
Selection: Cracker Star (4.05, Ayr) 1pt win @ SP with Betfred

What does NAP mean?
NAP is a word used in betting circles to describe a prediction that a tipster thinks has a particularly strong chance of winning.
Many horse racing tipsters pick out a 'NAP of the day', which is their favoured selection from all the races across the different meetings.
The term NAP derives from the French card game Napoleon. When players of this game thought they had a particularly strong hand that they would win with, they would shout 'Napoleon'.
What is an each-way bet?
An each-way bet is a popular type of wager, particularly with horse racing fans. It is essentially two bets, both of which have the same size stake.
An each-way bet features one bet on the selection to win and the other bet on the selection to place.
So a £10 each-way bet will cost you a total of £20. There will be one £10 bet on the selection to win and another £10 on the selection to place.
It's a popular bet because it offers punters the chance of a return, even if the horse in question fails to win. Bookmakers will pay out at a stated percentage of the odds for a place finish, for example one-fifth of the starting price (SP) for finishing in the first three.
The more runners there are in a horse race, the more places will be on offer. In races that feature lots of runners, the horses will be available at bigger odds, making an each-way bet a wise choice.

Trump: Millions being spent to make my Scottish golf course ready for Open

Donald Trump said the golf governing body Royal and Ancient (R&A) had laid the groundwork for the Open to return to Turnberry, after landing in Scotland for a five-day visit. The Ayrshire course remains in the rotation for the Open but has not held the tournament since 2009. The US president said the sports governing body had spent millions updating Turnberry's broadcast and communications facilities. 'The infrastructure of the course is good,' he told The Telegraph under the wing of Air Force One after it landed at Glasgow Prestwick Airport. 'In fact, the Royal and Ancient, I don't know you're aware of this ... they spent a lot of money, hundreds of thousands of dollars, probably into the millions of dollars. 'And they've laid all the wire for television and for electricity under the holes of Turnberry, so that when the Open gets there, they have it all done.' Officials had previously suggested that Mr Trump's divisive politics might prove a distraction to the golf championship were it to return to his Scottish course. But a change of leadership appears to have opened the way to possible return. The sports governing body now says the main barrier is the lack of transport infrastructure needed to ferry almost 300,000 golf fans to and from its rural location. Only 120,000 people attended the last time the Open was held at Turnberry and new facilities are needed to cope with the growing ticket sales, it says. Eric Trump, the president's son who runs his businesses, held what insiders called 'productive' talks with R&A officials recently, as the Trump family presses for the Open to return. The next open slot is 2028 although waiting until 2029 would mean that Mr Trump would have left the White House. Mr Trump arrived at the golf club on Friday evening. He is expected to spend the weekend playing golf and holding meetings at the club. Although the president is due to meet Sir Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister on Monday, most of the trip is centred on golf. Mr Trump will open a links course in Aberdeenshire on Tuesday. It is named in honour of his mother Mary Anne MacLeod, who was born and raised on the Scottish island of Lewis before she emigrated to New York in 1930 when she was 18. He added that he did not know anything about building new transport infrastructure at Turnberry. 'All I can tell you is that it would be the best place anywhere in your country to have,' he said. 'There's no place like it. There's no place like Turnberry, the best … probably the best course in the world.' The trip was originally planned as a private visit although White House officials say it is a 'working visit'.

Alexander Isak offered whopping £32M-A-YEAR deal from Saudi but star has heart set on record-breaking Liverpool transfer

ALEXANDER ISAK has been offered a £32million-a-year deal from Saudi Arabia — but his heart is set on Liverpool. The Swedish striker, 25, told Newcastle he wants to leave after they knocked back the Reds' initial approach over a potential British-record £120m move last week. SunSport understands he could now submit a transfer request to push for a switch to the Premier League champions. And he wants to head to Anfield despite the extraordinary offer from Al-Hilal, which would also see him land a £14m signing-on bonus and a host of other incentives. Isak would pocket £3.6m for winning the Saudi Pro League, £3.8m for lifting the Asian Champions League and a further £1.75m for finishing as the division's top scorer. Also on offer is £120,000 a month in personal expenses to cover travel for him and his family, a club house with four full-time staff and a full-time chauffeur. Isak would be provided with a private jet for him and his family whenever he is called up for Sweden duty. It would make him the fifth-highest earner behind only Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Cristiano Ronaldo. But Isak only has eyes for Liverpool. The Toon are refusing to sell last season's 27-goal top scorer despite him not going on their pre-season tour to Asia. They have been unable to persuade him to sign a £300,000-a-week deal making him Newcastle's highest-ever earner. And they fear he could force a move by handing in a written transfer request. Newcastle are exploring a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as a potential replacement. Newcastle plotting Benjamin Sesko bid to replace Alexander Isak And they are planning a £35m bid for Brentford's Yoane Wissa after a £25m offer was rejected. New Liverpool forward Hugo Ekitike, who snubbed Tyneside for the Reds, has dropped a big hint that Isak could be joining him at Anfield. The Frenchman cost £69m from Frankfurt and boss Arne Slot wants Isak to join him, Mo Salah and Florian Wirtz in a new-look attack. And Ekitike, 23, revealed how much he likes a strike partner. He said: 'I can play alone and also with another striker and that's what makes me versatile. "You know now in football you need to adapt." 2
