The cancellation follows a formal letter from Green MP Siân Berry, addressed to Brighton & Hove City Council leader Councillor Bella Sankey, calling for the show to be canceled at the publicly owned venue. The letter was co-signed by victim support organizations and the University of Sussex Student Union.
In the letter, Berry cited 'multiple allegations of sexual assault, grooming and domestic violence' made against Manson in recent years. 'Many survivors in Brighton and Hove, and organizations supporting them, will have very serious concerns about this booking and its impact on other people visiting the city centre, local residents and the wider community,' Berry wrote. 'Freedom of expression is an important principle that should be defended, including in relation to artists, but there is an obvious risk to community cohesion.'
An activist group called No Stage for Abusers also urged Brighton Centre and the city council to cancel the show through an online campaign. Manson—whose legal name is Brian Warner—was named in 2021 by actress Evan Rachel Wood as her alleged abuser, leading to more women coming forward with similar claims. Multiple civil lawsuits have since been filed against the singer, accusing him of sexual assault, harassment, and grooming. Manson has denied all allegations.
In January, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced that it would not file criminal charges, citing the expiration of the statute of limitations and insufficient evidence. The alleged incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011 in West Hollywood.
Berry acknowledged the absence of criminal charges but referenced council policies that support listening to survivors and protecting community safety.
'The level and nature of the accusations against Warner are concerning enough alone, but so too is the message sent out by providing a platform for this individual, at our city's biggest publicly owned venue, and what this will mean to survivors,' she said. 'We believe a solution must be found and that, despite these difficulties, the Council should act in line with its obligations to our values and the serious concerns around public safety and community cohesion.'
Manson and his representatives have not yet commented publicly on the cancellation.
Stories about sexual assault allegations can be traumatizing for survivors of sexual assault. If you or anyone you know needs support, you can reach out to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). The organization provides free, confidential support to sexual assault victims. Call RAINN's National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) or visit the anti-sexual violence organization's website for more information.

Post Malone falls as stage breaks apart during Arizona concert
NEW YORK — Post Malone toppled off the stage while performing in Arizona this past weekend, when part of the stage broke apart beneath him. Footage filmed by an audience member shows the 18-time Grammy nominee, real name Austin Richard Post, waltzing up toward the edge of the stage holding up a red Solo cup and leaning down to toast with the fan filming Saturday in Glendale, Arizona. Their cups are about to make contact when the edge of the stage cracks off and the 'Sunflowers' singer, 29, topples out of sight, according to the now-viral video. 'I didn't mean to almost break your back,' the clip is captioned. That's a nod to the 'Pour Me a Drink' lyric, 'Yeah I've been breakin' my back,' which is what the Syracuse native was crooning just before he fell. The fan who posted the clip added, 'I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show.' Billboard reports that Post quickly returned to the stage and resumed his performance at State Farm Stadium as if nothing happened, raising his cup once again to applause. At the time of publication, Post does not appear to have spoken about the incident, at least not on his Instagram. The show is part of Post's 'The Big Ass Stadium Tour,' which is set to head to Europe next month before returning stateside next spring. Post, who recently headlined Coachella, announced the tour back in November. But the year hasn't been all 'Sunflowers' and rainbows for Post, whose ex-fiancée Hee Sung 'Jamie' Park requested full physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter in April. The following month, Post reportedly filed a motion to dismiss his ex's petition.

Dave Grohl Makes Surprise Appearance To Perform With ‘80s Rock Legend
Dave Grohl Makes Surprise Appearance To Perform With '80s Rock Legend originally appeared on Parade. Someone get Rockapella to record 'Where In The World Is Dave Grohl,' because the Foo Fighters frontman is putting Carmen Sandiego to shame. And his latest random appearance occurred thanks to indie rock icon Kim Deal. Since Grohl, 56, admitted in September 2024 that he fathered a child outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum, he's made some surprise appearances here and there. He played with Post Malone at the SNL 50th Anniversary concert in March. Dave showed up at Coachella in April, joining the Los Angeles Philharmonic to perform two Foo Fighters songs. Also that month, he played at Oakwood Live, a school benefit in Los Angeles. His latest appearance took place in London when Grohl joined the former Pixies bassist during her show at the Roundhouse on June 20. Deal, 64, brought out Grohl, who told her, 'I'll sing whatever you ask me to sing. I'll do whatever you ask me to do.' They then launched into 'Gigantic,' a song that the two have played together a handful of times over the year, per Consequence. Deal is touring in support of her debut solo album, Nobody Loves You More. Grohl's appearance at Deal's London show adds fuel to an ongoing fan theory: he is going to be a 'surprise' performer at this year's Glastonbury festival. Fans began to speculate about Grohl's involvement on Jun 18 when controversial singer Amanda Palmer posted a photo of her alongside him. 'Well I'll be damned. Not who I expected to run into backstage at the [Yeah Yeah Yeahs] show at @royalalberthall in London tonight,' she wrote. Fans on Reddit speculated that Grohl may make an appearance during Alanis Morissette's set as a tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins. Before he joined the Foos in 1997, Hawkins was Morissette's drummer, appearing in videos for 'You Oughta Know,' 'All I Really Want,' and 'You Learn.' As of June, the Foo Fighters only have a handful of shows scheduled for 2025. In May, the band fired drummerJosh Freese, who says 'no reason was given' for his dismissal. The band hasn't announced Freese's Grohl Makes Surprise Appearance To Perform With '80s Rock Legend first appeared on Parade on Jun 23, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 23, 2025, where it first appeared.

Olivia Rodrigo, John Cena and other celebrities make their way to Wimbledon's Royal Box
LONDON (AP) — Olivia Rodrigo. John Cena. Dave Grohl. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. There was as much star power — or maybe even more? — in the Royal Box at Wimbledon as there was down below on the Centre Court grass on Wednesday. And that was on an afternoon that featured two-time defending men's champion Carlos Alcaraz and No. 1-ranked woman Aryna Sabalenka both winning matches at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament's main stadium to reach the third round. The seats in the Royal Box behind one of the baselines are by invitation only, and there was quite a list of celebrities on hand for Day 3 of competition. 'I was trying not to look today,' Sabalenka said about the collection of boldfaced names, explaining that she might be distracted while competing. 'I was just trying to focus on my game. Later on, I'm going to open the social media (and ask), 'OK, who was there?'' Well, Aryna, here's a rundown: Rodrigo, fresh off headlining at music festival Glastonbury while on tour for her GUTS album, sat next to Cena, the professional wrestler and movie star. Rodrigo chatted at one point with former England soccer coach Roy Hodgson (the current person in that job, Thomas Tuchel, also was in attendance). Grohl, a member of the rock bands Foo Fighters and Nirvana, made an appearance, too, as did the married couple Chopra and Jonas. Hollywood's Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, who also are married, were on the Royal Box list, along with actor Dominic Cooper. Others taking in a day of tennis at the most famous court in the world included British athletes from other sports, such as Olympic gold medalists Sophie Bray (field hockey) and Tom Daley (diving), and Paralympic gold medalist William Ellard (swimming). ___
