Do Patricia Javier and Sugar Mercado plan to join Miss Universe Philippines?
The showbiz personalities talked about their pageantry journeys on Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" and were asked if they had plans to ever join Miss Universe Philippines.
The prestigious Miss Universe pageant has embraced inclusivity in recent years after removing the age limit for candidates and opening the competition to wives, mothers, and transgender women.
According to Patricia, she is happy with the titles she has today.
'Sa 'kin po, I'm very happy na kung ano po 'yung mero'n po akong title ngayon. Pero I think, you know, lahat ng kababaihan, mero'n sila dapat—'yung mga gustong maging beauty queen, ipagpatuloy nila 'yon. 'Di ba? If this is the chance for them, go for your dreams.
Sugar, for her part, shared that she would accept it if it is God's will for her to join.
'Ako, kung ano po 'yung ibigay sa 'kin ni Lord kasi kahit naman ito, kahit sa panaginip, hindi ko siya—imposible siyang maganap sa buhay ko pero nangyayari. So if ibibigay ng panahon 'yon sa akin, tatanggapin ko nang buong puso,' Sugar said.
Patricia has won victorious in three beauty pageants: Mrs. Universe Philippines Finest Woman 2019, Noble Queen of the Universe 2019, and Aqua Queen of the Universe 2022.
'Lahat po ng title na 'to is talaga po to uplift women from our society,' she said.
Meanwhile, Sugar is the reigning Mrs. Philippines Universe 2025. According to Sugar, the Mrs. Philippines Universe pageant welcomes wives and mothers, including single mothers like her.
She is set to represent the country on the international stage on October 15 and will compete against 35 other women from different countries.
'Suportahan niyo po ako. Maraming prayers po,' Sugar said.

Ralph De Leon on Will Ashley's on faded closeness with Bianca De Vera: It was all about respect, boundaries
Ralph De Leon defended Will Ashley after being questioned about his faded closeness and shift in friendship with Bianca De Vera during the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." Wednesday's episode showed the continuation of Boy Abunda's visit inside the house and Ralph and Will's turn for the "Defend Your Duo" segment. The question for Will, which was answered by Ralph, was: "Will, what happened sa sinabi mo kay Bianca after noong Boys Night Out n'yo na mas mag-e-effort ka na bumawi at maibalik ang malapit na pagkakaibigan n'yo noon? Bakit natapos ang edisyon na hindi nanumbalik ang closeness n'yo?" Ralph responded with composure, emphasizing Will's decision to prioritize respect and personal boundaries. "For Will, Tito Boy and to everyone watching, it was all about respect. It was all about boundaries because they set the boundaries within their relationship for Bianca and Dustin [Yu]," Ralph said. Per Ralph, Bianca and Dustin weren't comfortable sharing things with Will or building a relationship with Will because of what they have. "Both of them were friends with Will outside. Both of them had certain relationships with Will outside. But here in this house, they wanted to build something for themselves, and Will chose to respect that. Will chose to give them that space. And Will really just respected whatever they had," Ralph said. Will echoed his duo's sentiments, affirming that Ralph had spoken exactly what he would have said himself. "Alam na po talaga ng mga housemates, especially si Ralph, kung ano po 'yung mga totoong nangyayari talaga. Kaya 'yung mga sinabi po ni Ralph kanina, 'yun po talaga 'yung exact na mga words na gusto ko pong sabihin kung ako man po 'yung mag-e-explain para sa sarili ko po," he said. Dustin Yu admits he felt jealous of Will Ashley before
Dustin Yu admitted in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Wednesday that he had felt jealous of Will Ashley back when it was still unclear to him what Will and Bianca De Vera had in the past. During Dustin and Bianca's guesting on the show, they were given the chance by Tito Boy to defend themselves from netizens' various comments about them. Among the comments netizens had for Dustin were his being controlling and jealous, prompting Tito Boy to ask the Sparkle star if he had ever felt jealous of Will. "Nung hindi pa sa'kin clear 'yung ano man 'yung meron sila sa past, 'yung medyo magulo pa, of course, yeah nagselos ako, naguguluhan ako Tito Boy," Dustin admitted. However, Dustin added that he realized he had no reason to be jealous after he was able to talk to Bianca and Will. "Nung nag-usap na kami ni Will and nag-usap na rin kami ni Bianca na wala naman ako dapat pagselosan or intindihin or isipin or i-worry, of course hindi ko na 'yun pinairal, naintindihan ko na 'yun," he shared. Back in May, Bianca and Will talked to each other inside Bahay ni Kuya where they agreed to be duo partners if she makes it through eviction night — a conversation that Dustin overheard. The encounter did not seem to sit well with Dustin, as he later reminded Bianca of their situation. Bianca, for her part, clarified she had no intentions to reignite something from the past and that her conversation with Will had no malice. Dustin then told her he trusted her. All was well among the three as Dustin, who was also up for eviction, later on told Will to look after Bianca and give her reminders should he get evicted, with Will promising that he would. In the early weeks of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," Bianca and Will had confessed to the unresolved tension from their past when they worked together in "Unbreak My Heart" in 2023. Dustin and Bianca were the latest and last housemates to exit Bahay ni Kuya after losing the last Big Jump Challenge to the pair of Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca (BreKa). Mika and Brent now join the previously announced finalists: Charlie Fleming and Esnyr (ChaRes), Will Ashley and Ralph De Leon (RaWi), and AZ Martinez and River Joseph (AzVer). Following Dustin and Bianca's exit from "PBB," Bianca clarified in "Unang Hirit" on Wednesday that she and Will. She also said that she and Dustin are proud of him. "Pangarap niyang makasama sa Big Four," she said. "So we're rooting for him, and all of them, sa Bahay ni Kuya." The highly anticipated Big Night is happening on July 5. Dustin Yu, Bianca De Vera defend themselves from netizens' criticism
Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera addressed the myriad of comments and criticism they received from netizens during their stint in 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.' On Wednesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the former housemates offered candid responses to comments ranging from manipulation to relationship issues. Defending Dustin from claims that he is 'passive-aggressive, manipulator, and backstabber,' Bianca said that she did not see any of those signs from him. 'Ako po, naniniwala po ako na matalino po akong tao and if I did see those signs kay Dustin, I would've strayed myself away from him as soon as I can. Pero wala naman po akong nakitang signs sa kaniya' she said. Bianca further praised Dustin for consistently taking care of her from day one, expressing confusion about where such opinions originated. 'So it doesn't matter whatever they say because they're not in my body and they don't see him through my eyes. So hindi po ako naaapektuhan,' she said. Dustin expressed his appreciation for Bianca's words and admitted being surprised by the comments upon exiting the house, leading to an important period of reflection. 'Feeling ko isa 'yun sa pinaka-importanteng reflection na nangyari sa life ko. Siguro, personally, gano'n lang talaga akong tao, very firm sa mga gusto kong sabihin. I'm very serious sa mga tamang situations, sa mga seryosong situations. As much as I'm willing to listen, gusto ko rin talaga na mapakinggan,' he said. Meanwhile, on comments that Bianca is always distracted and not focusing on tasks, the actress admitted that, initially, she did lack focus. 'Pumasok po kasi ako ng Bahay ni Kuya na magulo po talaga 'yung utak ko. 'Di po ako pumasok nang perfect. And it just so happened na I brought everyone into that journey of really finding myself. So sobrang naapektuhan po talaga 'yung tasks, kung pa'no ko po siya nadiskartehan,' she said. Despite the initial struggles, she confidently stated that she grew over time, acknowledging that her progress was not quick like other housemates, but 'there was improvement.' Tito Boy also noted that some comments about Dustin are that he is controlling and jealous, prompting the talk show host to ask him if he ever felt jealous of Will Ashley. Dustin, for his part, admitted that he had felt jealous of Will back when it was still unclear to him what Will and Bianca De Vera had in the past. However, he realized he had no reason to be jealous after he was able to talk to Bianca and Will. Bianca also responded to comments that said she is 'feeling maganda at mayabang' because of her line, 'What if pretty face lang ako?' 'Sana naman i-give na nila 'yun sa 'kin. Umiiyak na 'ko no'n. Give niyo na sa 'kin 'yon. Kung naniniwala akong maganda ako, hindi ko naman kayo natatapakan,' she said. Dustin enthusiastically supported her, confirming that Bianca is indeed beautiful. Finally, Bianca refuted the claims that they have a 'toxic relationship.' 'I wouldn't say it was toxic. I believe that we were two people who had real feelings inside the house and I believe na kahit sinong tao naman, mapapagdaanan 'yon. The only difference is, kami, nasa 'PBB' kami, and everyone can see it,' she said. Bianca acknowledged that they had their shortcomings and weren't perfect, but stressed that they grew through it. 'Kami po kasi, alam po kasi namin 'yung totoo sa hindi, she said. The duo also acknowledged that while they're one of the most loved, they're also one of the most hated in the season. 'I've heard na naging malala po talaga siya and I believe, in the future, it can be even worse. Pero for me, sobrang pivotal po talaga ng journey namin sa 'PBB' because our stay there really honed us for the future, for the responsibilities na tatahakin namin in the future. So we're OK,' Bianca said. Dustin and Bianca were the latest and last housemates to get evicted from Bahay ni Kuya after losing the last Big Jump Challenge to the pair of Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca (BreKa).
