Este Haim reveals ex-boyfriend brutally dumped her over her diabetes
The sister trio — Este, Alana, and Danielle — have mainly kept their romantic lives private, but bad exes are always great material for songs.
While chatting to British GQ about their upcoming album, I Quit, Este revealed that one of her boyfriends shockingly broke up with her over her Type 1 diabetes.
'I had a guy break up with me because I said that there was a possibility that our kid would have diabetes,' the 39-year-old musician shared.
To Este's surprise, he gave her a brutal response and said: 'Then why are we here?' to which she replied 'What?!'
Este has regularly shared her diabetes journey with fans, and while at Glastonbury in 2022, revealed she had once passed out on the side of the stage.
She is now engaged to tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin, posting a snap of the engagement ring in February with a t-shirt which read 'I'm taken'.
Her younger sister, Alana, 33, also shared a more recent dating disaster as a man tried to stand in the way of her career.
'I had a boyfriend that gave me an ultimatum between doing Licorice Pizza and staying with him,' she revealed. 'I obviously made the right choice…'
The Wire hitmaker was nominated for best actress at the Golden Globes for her role in the film — definitely the right choice.
Meanwhile, Danielle, 36, is 'happier than ever' while single and declared she's 'okay alone'.
'Not only okay, but so happy,' she continued. 'Sorry to be that b***h but I'm like, really having a great time being by myself. And now, unless someone's gonna make me so much more happy, I'm good.'
Alana said her sister's 'sparkle' had returned as they prepare to release I Quit later this month. More Trending
Haim explained the title is not meant to be a negative, instead, it's about quitting the things that no longer serve you.
The trio have already dropped three singles from the new album and are heading on a UK tour later this year.
They're also heavily rumoured to fill one of Glastonbury's surprise set slots, possibly the set listed as 'Patchwork', which is the name of a novel by a woman named Sylvia Haim.

Hollywood icon says 'it's happening' as she confirms reboot for 'one of the greatest shows ever'
Hollywood legend Jamie Lee Curtis has opened up about the anticipated Murder, She Wrote reboot A Hollywood icon said, "It's happening", as she confirmed a reboot for "one of the greatest shows ever". A Murder, She Wrote movie was confirmed back in September 2023, with Orange Is the New Black duo Rebecca Angelo and Lauren Schuker Blum on writing duties. The pair, who worked as staff writers on season five of the hit US comedy-drama, are also on board to executive produce the film, which has been commissioned by Universal Pictures. Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Amy Pascal are producers. A year later, it was reported that Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis was in early talks to play lead character Jessica Fletcher, who was famously brought to life by Angela Lansbury in the original series. Speaking at the Freakier Friday premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 22), Jamie confirmed that the film reboot "is happening" and that she's "very excited". "Oh, it's... happening. We're a minute away, but yeah, very excited. Very excited. But I'm tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I have a couple of other things to hustle, but then I'll get to enjoy that work." The original Murder, She Wrote series ran for 12 seasons, as well as four TV movies, between 1984 and 1996. It followed Jessica Fletcher, a mystery writer and amateur detective who helped solve murders in her fictional town of Cabot Cove and other locations. As well as Angela Lansbury, the series also starred Tom Bosley, William Windom, Ron Masak, Will Nye and Louis Herthum. Angela won four Golden Globes out of ten nominations for her portrayal of Jessica, earning her the record for the most Golden Globe nominations and wins in the Best Actress in a Television Drama Series category. She also achieved the most Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, with the show also bagging two major wins at the prestigious event. Murder, She Wrote was a ratings hit during its broadcast, becoming a staple of the CBS Sunday night schedule for almost a decade, making it one of the most successful and longest-running TV shows in history. Fans instantly fell in love with the show, with many continuing to share their praise on social media today. "Murder, She Wrote is one of the greatest shows ever," one person wrote on IMDb, with another adding: "This cherished television series will forever be dearly missed, but Jessica will forever live on." A third said: "This series is one of my all time favourites. A groundbreaking show that's just perfect in every way."

People are wearing ‘five finger shoes' to the office
It's a fashion trend so bizarre that it could force Anna Wintour to tears. Vibram's FiveFingers are the unlikely hot girl shoe of the summer. The divisive shoe is basically a glove for your feet, with a separate space for every single toe. Sounds sexy, right? They're actually designed for barefoot running enthusiasts, but they've recently appeared on the feet of guests of New York fashion week. Doechii and model Paloma Elsesser have also been pictured in them. And now, fashion girlies are deciding to wear them to the office. Some are donning a pair to run daily errands in the city, and others are braving the London Underground with them on (at least you'll get a good grip if you have to stand, hey?). They might not appeal to everyone, but social media users are desperate to get their hands on a pair, with some claiming 'they're the comfiest show I've ever owned'. Others have said they can't find them anywhere after they've recently soared in popularity. Vibram's have been around since 2006, and this isn't their first shot at the limelight. Back in 2012, actress Shailene Woodley wore a pair to the Golden Globes after-party. The distinctive shoe was pictured pointing out under her floor-length black velvet dress, and sparked a similar wave of public confusion at the time. Scarlett Johansson and David Beckham have also been papped wearing them. It's no mystery as to why people are catching on now. The barefoot trend has been on the rise for a while. The idea behind these shoes is to mimic the experience of walking or running barefoot, while providing some kind of protection for feet. They usually have a thin, flexible sole, and a wide toe box to allow your toes to naturally spread. Influencers have been promoting different barefoot shoes online, and brands have come up with their own spin on it. @egorchan4in ♬ The Weeknd come through – alisha.メ૦ Balenciaga collaborated with Vibram in 2020 to create a heeled version of the shoe. The brand then dropped a $350 3D-moulded barefoot sandal called 'The Zero', which barely covered the big toe. Tabi's – which feature a split between the big toe and the rest of the toes – are another controversial barefoot shoe which have soared in popularity over the past couple of years. They retail for between £820 and £1,190 online. The shoes resemble a cow's hoof and are inspired by the traditional 15th century Japanese sock of the same name. The aim is to promote balance and stability on your feet. But, after nearly two decades, not everyone is ready for this style of shoe to go mainstream. TikToker @emmahopeall shared a video wearing Vibram's on the tube, saying that everyone was 'laughing' at them. Some commenters declared them 'terrifying', claiming that wearing them outside is 'diabolical.' More Trending Others have very real concerns. 'I'd just be scared someone will step on my toes,' another wrote. Meanwhile, one person said: 'They look so comfy, but I just can't get on board. While others were adamant that it would turn into the next big thing. 'It's only a matter of time before these take off,' they wrote. Metro's assistant opinion and first-person editor James Besanvalle was gifted a pair of Vibram's back in 2011 while working at a sports shop. 'I would never have bought them for myself,' he said. He wore them a total of ten times to go running outdoors. The only issue? The lack of support. 'My feet were sore every time I wore them, and it felt like they were constantly separating my toes,' he adds. Metro's Newsletter editor Sophie Laughton also has strong opinions of the shoe. She said: 'There's a man who I regularly see walking to the station who wears them and the sight of his little rubber toes gripping the pavement makes me gag.' Do you have a story to share? Sia, 49, and Too Hot To Handle star, 28, spark romance rumours as they hold hands on date
Australian pop star Sia sparked romance rumours after being snapped holding hands with fellow Aussie Harry Jowsey who is 21 years younger than her after eating out in LA Sia has sparked romance rumours with an unexpected candidate after she was snapped enjoying a dinner date with fellow Australian Harry Jowsey. The singer was seen stepping out in Los Angeles with the Too Hot To Handle star, looking very happy as she walked hand-in-hand with him after dining at the Ca Del Sole Restaurant. Sia, 49, wore a long black maxi dress layered underneath a black coat and slouchy leopard print boots for the outing, as Harry, 28, opted for green chinos and a green coat, with a white t-shirt and white trainers. The unlikely pairing sees an age-gap of over 20 years and comes just days after Sia was also snapped out for a walk with a man she was also seen with in LA back on March 21. Her outing with the bearded man came just two days after she filed for divorce from her second husband Dan Bernad. She filed the paperwork after 26 months of being man and wife. The documents reportedly list the couple's date of separation as Tuesday, March 18 - meaning she filed almost immediately on deciding to call it quits on their relationship. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split - with the paperwork also containing another bombshell. The couple are parents to an one-year-old baby boy named Somersault Wonder Bernard who was born on March 27 2024. Sia asked for both legal and physical custody of the infant - but has not opposed visitation rights for Daniel. Sia also chose to check the box which would terminate the court awarding any spousal support to her husband. There is no information available on whether or not the couple signed a prenup before they got married. The pair wed in December 2022 and Daniel was Sia's second husband. She first got married to Erik Anders Lang, but they divorced in 2016 after just over two years of marriage. Sia is already a mom to two teenage boys who she took guardianship of in 2019 when they were both 18 and just about to exit the foster care system. Back in 2020, Sia told GQ that she wanted to remain "single for the rest of my life" after her divorce from golf documentarian Erik. They got married at her home in Palm Springs, California, in August 2014. One of her adopted sons is now the proud father of twins - meaning she is also a grandmother-of-two. Harry meanwhile was confirmed to be in a "super casual" relationship with Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale earlier this year. He was also Previously linked to Jessica Vestal, his co-star in Perfect Match's season two, with the pair splitting shortly after the show ended. He has also dated several other influencers and reality stars including ex-fiancé Francesca Farago and Georgia Hassarati, as well as a brief rumoured romance with Kylie Jenner's BFF Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou back in 2020.
