This Verizon customer followed all the rules – and still got burned

But Verizon didn't send any confirmation emails about the return or refund. So, the user called customer service. The reps said they had no record of the return and pointed out that the two mailed labels were unused.
The customer explained that was because they used the emailed one – just like they had requested. The tracking number showed it was received, but Verizon said they'd have to check with the warehouse and opened a ticket.

When the customer called again asking for a supervisor, they were reportedly told nothing could be done – the return period had expired. End result? No phone, no refund, no way to escalate. Another phone lost in transit.Unsurprisingly, this wasn't an isolated case.

It is not just phones going missing, either – tablets and other tech are disappearing, too and customers are clearly fed up. So, if you want to avoid getting caught in a mess like this, there are a few things you can do. One of the safest moves is buying your device in-store, especially when you are spending over a grand on it. It is not always the most convenient, but at least you walk out with the phone in hand.Another smart move? Record yourself unboxing the phone as soon as it arrives. That footage could be a lifesaver if you ever need to prove something went missing or was never delivered.
Same goes for trade-ins – before you drop your device in the return envelope, grab a quick video of you packing and sealing it. That extra step could be the difference between a smooth process and a drawn-out fight with customer service.

Google leaks the first official image of all Pixel 10 models
Google is famously bad at keeping its secrets, and this week brought multiple proofs of that fact. We've already seen the Pixel 10 series in various leaks and renders, but this time Google's own store leaked a new image. A banner that appears to be advertisement for the Pixel 10 series was spotted inside the Google Play Store app on Android by Android Authority. Qi2 25W is official, promises hundreds of devices will support it
The Qi v2.2.1 standard now has a fancy marketing name: Qi2 25W. And as that name implies, this is a wireless charging spec that goes up to 25W. It was officially unveiled today by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). The WPC promises that "major Android smartphones" (whatever that means) are about to "join the Qi2 ecosystem for the first time with this launch", obviously in addition to Apple's iPhones. Fourteen devices, receivers and transmitters, completed Qi2 25W certification testing last week, and full-scale certification testing is now open to "several hundred devices waiting in the queue to be tested". Undoubtedly most of those devices will be accessories like chargers and power banks, but it will still be interesting to see some Android phones supporting the new standard too. Whether they will keep going to magnet-free route or finally switch to built-in magnets like the iPhones remains to be seen. Compared to the previous, 15W spec, Qi2 25W delivers almost 70% more power, and according to WPC market research, faster wireless charging is the number one consumer-requested feature to improve wireless charging satisfaction. T-Mobile had the best U.S. wireless network during the first half of 2025 says new report
T-Mobile had the best mobile network in the U.S. during the first half of 2025, according to the Speedtest Connectivity Report released by Ookla. Overall, the nation's second-largest wireless carrier delivered a median download speed of 245.48 Mbps. The wireless provider's median 5G download speed was 299.36 Mbps. T-Mobile 's Speedtest Connectivity Score of 79.95 topped Verizon 's 75.49 tally and AT&T 's 72.47. T-Mobile also had a top-ranked 5G Connectivity Score of 73.22. According to Ookla, the Speedtest Connectivity Score reliably measures a carrier's overall mobile network connected experience using a combination of scores based on speed, web browsing, and video streaming. It wasn't close when deciding which carrier was fastest in the U.S. during the first half of this year. With a score of 74.45, T-Mobile trounced Verizon (65.72) and AT&T (63.16). The order was the same for 5G speeds, with a leading 58.02 for T-Mobile , 52.57 for Verizon , and 44.36 for AT&T . T-Mobile was thisclose to Verizon at 76.38. AT&T 's streaming video score came in at 71.91. Verizon had a bigger lead over T-Mobile in 5G video streaming as the latter's 79.95 5G video streaming tally trailed Verizon 's leading 82.57 score by a larger margin. AT&T was third as its 5G video streaming score was 76.05. If Verizon is the network for those who love to stream videos, T-Mobile is the carrier for gamers, according to Ookla's numbers.
