Why BrahMos founder offered BrahMos to Pakistan for 'free'
'When a Pakistani General asked me – why do you want to sell such a good missile? So I said that a good product has to be sold. Then he asked – 'will you sell it to Pakistan?', BrahMos Aerospace Founder and former CEO Dr A Sivathanu Pillai recalled the exchange with Pakistani general as reported by CNN-News 18.

'I told him, 'For Pakistan, it will be even free of cost.' So that has happened there,' Pillai added.
What Pillai said on Operation Sindoor
'Operation Sindoor is a very remarkable day to us when the number of missiles – more than 15 – finished all the terrorist points and also disabled Pakistan, so they surrendered. This is a great moment for the development of BrahMos. We are very happy. I know how much hard work the team put in to realise that. This is a partnership between India and Russia', Pillai added on the success of Operation Sindoor.

Union Home Minister on BrahMos's critical role
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said after Operation Sindoor that indigenously developed BrahMos missiles destroyed Pakistani air bases while its air defence system, borrowed from China, remained unused, during Operation Sindoor, which exposed its lies on terrorism to the world, as per a report by PTI news agency.
Addressing a function, HM Shah said while surgical strikes and the airstrike in the past were limited to the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), India penetrated 100 km inside Pakistan's border under Operation Sindoor and eliminated terrorists and their hubs.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy challenges CM, ministers to debate on Centre's role in Telangana development
HYDERABAD: Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's remarks against the Union government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling them 'baseless and politically motivated.' He urged the chief minister to follow the PM's development model instead of 'blaming the Centre for his own failures.' This comes after Revanth accused Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of prioritising Gujarat over other states. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, the BJP state president challenged Revanth and his Cabinet to a public debate on the Centre's contributions to Telangana. 'He is making allegations without understanding the system,' he said. On the Metro Rail Phase-II project, Kishan said the DPR was submitted just a week ago and is under review. A decision will follow after assessing feasibility. He also said clarity on the BJP's new state president would emerge by Tuesday and efforts were on for a unanimous choice. Accusing the Congress of making false promises and deflecting blame, he said, 'Congress is in power, not BJP. People are watching and will respond in the next Assembly elections.'

No talks with Maoists as long as they carry arms: Union Minister Amit Shah
HYDERABAD: Reiterating that the Union government was committed to ending Naxalism by March 31, 2026, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday urged Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream. He categorically stated that the Centre would not hold talks with those who continue to bear arms. 'Our policy is no talks with those who have arms in their hands. Give up arms and surrender. If you do not surrender, we have decided to end Naxalism by March 31, 2026. Should we not end the Naxalites who have killed adivasis and police personnel?' Shah said. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the National Turmeric Board headquarters in Nizamabad, the Union home minister said that while he 'feared that the Congress might provide shelter to Maoists, there was no cause for concern as Narendra Modi was in power at the Centre'. 'The Congress is asking for talks with Maoists. Our government's policy is clear — no talks with those who hold weapons. Surrender and join the mainstream,' he said. Shah noted that in the Northeast, 10,000 individuals had surrendered and joined the mainstream, with some contesting elections at district and Assembly levels. 'In the last one-and-a-half years, around 2,000 Maoists surrendered,' he added. 'From Telangana's soil, I want to ask those who speak of protecting Naxals: What answer will you give to the families of police personnel and adivasis who lost their lives in Naxal violence? Naxals have obstructed development in adivasi areas for decades. What is your answer?' he asked. Shah accused the BRS of indulging in massive corruption during its 10-year rule. He alleged irregularities in Dharani, Kaleshwaram, Singareni and other projects, and questioned whether Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy initiated even one case against those involved. Shah claimed that the family of former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao used Telangana as an 'ATM' and alleged that the state has now become an 'ATM for the Delhi Congress'.

Operation Sindoor: Indian Navy Officer's ‘Jet Loss' Comment Ignites Storm, Govt Rushes to Clarify
/ Jun 30, 2025, 11:28AM IST A new controversy has erupted over India's top-secret Operation Sindoor, after Navy Captain and Defence Attaché to Indonesia Shiv Kumar publicly stated that the Indian Air Force lost 'some aircraft' during the cross-border anti-terror strikes in Pakistan and PoK. Speaking at a defence seminar on June 10, he revealed that initial IAF losses occurred due to political constraints, as forces were told not to strike Pakistani military infrastructure or air defences in the first wave. He added that tactics were changed later to suppress enemy air defences using BrahMos missiles. The Indian Embassy in Indonesia has since issued a clarification, calling the remarks 'misrepresented' and 'taken out of context'. This has reignited debate over whether India lost Rafale or other jets in the operation—a claim long denied by officials.#OperationSindoor #IAFLosses #ShivKumar #IndianAirForce #IndiaPakistan #RafaleJet #pakistan #pakistanairforce #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews
