His 2024/25 campaign, in which he scored 21 goals and made 15 assists, has now earned him a €19 million move to Serie A, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Rodgers said after Celtic's friendly win over Queen's Park (Record): "We've virtually agreed between the club and Como, so it looks at this point that he'll be on his way, but we just have to wait for confirmation.
"I think it's very clear, the model of Celtic.
"He's come in and in the 18 months he's done absolutely fantastic for us.
"He was aware of interest towards the end of last season and that sort of followed through.
"Other teams have joined in that interest over the summer and that's why a lot of the young players come.
"It's a wonderful, brilliant club to come to develop and improve.
"And you can see within a short period of time, 18 months, he's now getting the move that he wants."
Rodgers is pleased that the move for Kuhn has happened early in the transfer window, as it allows Celtic to act swiftly in the market.
He said: "I think it really helps us.
"The earlier, the better, really.
"Because if a player wants to go, then I don't see the point in them hanging about.
"Really, if you can get the deal done and you get the valuation, what you think is right, then do it, move on and look to get the replacements in.
"I think we'll always look to improve the squad.
"There's money there to bring players in.
"It's just that we're getting the right ones.
"I'm really excited by this season."
Kuhn's departure leaves Celtic with a valuable transfer kitty to bolster their squad.
The club now has the opportunity to reinvest and strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.

Liverpool stars join Diogo Jota's family at poignant funeral

The father-of-three, who married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso 11 days before the accident, died alongside his brother, Andre Silva, after a Lamborghini they were travelling in burst into flames following a suspected tyre blowout in the early hours of Thursday morning. Diogo Jota's wife and family have been joined by Liverpool players for the funeral of the forward and his brother in Portugal following their death in a car crash in Spain. The coffins of Jota and Silva were carried into Igreja Matriz de Gondomar church in the town of Gondomar near Porto on Saturday morning, followed by mourners. A church bell tolled and crowds applauded as the brothers' coffins were carried into the church, followed by mourners, some with their arms around each other. Others seen arriving at the church included Reds manager Arne Slot, captain Virgil van Dijk and team-mates including Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez. Also at the funeral for the Portugal international were his national team-mates Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva of Manchester City, Joao Felix and Renato Veiga of Chelsea, Nelson Semedo from Wolves, Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio and Ruben Neves, as well as former Liverpool player Fabinho, Porto president Andre Villas-Boas and Portugal manager Roberto Martinez. Some of the players carried wreaths shaped like football shirts as they arrived at the church. Family and friends gathered for the brothers' wake on Friday, with a queue forming outside the Portuguese chapel. The brothers' parents attended the Sao Cosme Chapel, the Capela da Ressurreicao, in Gondomar, with Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Luis Montenegro and Jota's agent also there. People held service sheets featuring pictures of both brothers, the largest one showing Jota smiling in his Liverpool shirt and making a heart sign with his hands. Jota and Silva were found dead after the car crashed on the A-52 in Palacios de Sanabria near the city of Zamora at 12.40am on Thursday. Police said they were investigating the possibility that the Lamborghini left the road because of a tyre blowout while overtaking, and a source from the government sub-delegation in Zamora confirmed 'a possible speeding incident' was being looked at. Pictures of the aftermath of the crash showed debris scattered along the side of the road including what appeared to be charred parts of the vehicle. No other vehicles are said to have been involved in the incident.

Tyrell Malacia finally has Celtic transfer green light from Man Utd after price drop and Rangers ally intel

The Scottish champions are in need of a new left-back following the departure of Greg Taylor Celtic have been given the green light to sign Manchester United full back Tyrell Malacia - if they revive their January interest. The Scottish Premiership champions were on the hunt for a left-back in the winter window after failing to get bring Kieran Tierney in early from Arsenal despite having a pre-contract agreement in place. ‌ Celtic had cut short Alex Valle's loan spell from Barcelona to allow the youngster to join Como - leaving Greg Taylor as the only recognised left-back at the club. ‌ Jeffrey Schlupp would come in from Crystal Palace on loan to provide cover for Taylor while Malacia would spend the rest of the season at PSV Eindhoven - but is's a case of deja vu this summer for Brendan Rodgers with the Hoops searching for a left-back again. Tierney has now arrived by Scotland cap Taylor has made the move to PAOK - leaving the door open for the Dutchman to arrive in Glasgow's east end. Malacia signed from Feyenoord for around £13million four years ago but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford. The Mirror now report that Malacia has been allowed to report back for pre-season at Carrington late as they seek moves away, having told the club they are keen to move on. The left-back has been out on loan at PSV Eindhoven, who decided not to make his loan move permanent for £8.3m despite helping the club lift the Eredivise title. ‌ The Athletic claim that United are willing to accept significantly less than the buyout clause at this stage of the window to offload the 25-year-old as they struggle to "drum up suitors" in the Netherlands international. Former Rangers boss Dick Advocaat has offered a bumper recommendation to Celtic after his performances for the Dutch champions last season. He interested parties that the best is yet to come from Malacia - having previously managed him during his time at Feyenoord. ‌ Speaking to Feyenoord Pings, the veteran boss said: 'I know that he hasn't played for Manchester United for almost a year and a half, but this boy has a good head. "At Feyenoord I saw that he is made of the right stuff. I am convinced of that; Tyrell is a real winner. "Tyrell is good on the ball, and don't underestimate his defensive qualities. Tyrell may not be that big, but he holds his own. At Feyenoord he always went into battle. He is also really not afraid of anyone."

Brendan Rodgers admits he's got major Johnny Kenny Celtic dilemma as he gives Reo Hatate, Cameron Carter-Vickers updates

But he's weighing up whether to send the forward out on loan ahead of the new season. Bolton lead a number of clubs interested in snapping up £1million-rated Kenny who spent the first half of last season at Shamrock Rovers. Rodgers said: 'I've spoken to a few clubs that want to take him on loan. 'I just want to have a look in pre-season just to see where we're at and see what's going to be the best for his development. 'We obviously want him to be a Celtic player. He's a goalscorer. There's absolutely no doubt about that. 'It's what's going to be the best for him and Celtic and whether that's going to be here or whether it's just go away and get some more games and play. "But I'll assess that over pre-season. 'He's big on the pitch, he's bigger in his uniform. The diggers move in as Celtic Park pitch is dug up 'He presses, he runs, he's aggressive. And like I say, 25 yards in, he's a very good finisher. 'So, we think there's a lot of talent there, we want to try and develop that and we'll see how he does over the course of pre-season.' Rodgers insists it's vital Celtic clear a pathway for their best young players to merge through the ranks. He added: 'I think probably some of the problem here has been over many years, there's too many players. 'So actually, the talented players aren't getting through quick enough. That's the reality. 'So it's finding a way. 'We've got guys in now with Paul Tisdale and Shaun Maloney now. They know the game. They've been around it. And the job is to get them through quick. We've got talents. 'How can we get them through quickly into the first team? Not be the talented best player under 16 staying under 16. "That's why the kid is up now training with ourselves and there's one or two other boys. So, there's a pathway here. There absolutely will be. 'But we've got to get them through quickly and balance it between the pressure and whether they need a loan or whether they're ready to go straight in.' 3 Rodgers, meanwhile, insists Cameron Carter-Vickers, James Forrest and Reo Hatate are expected to start full training this week after recent injuries. He added: 'Cam had some issues around the end of last season. 'But we decided this was really important for him and he needed that to get the operation. 'We knew then the recovery time would mean he'd miss a week. 'But he's back working again and, hopefully, be ready for the next few weeks. 'With Reo, was just a shame for him. He's had a few extra few days but he'll come back in and he'll be fine.' 'Jamesie should be okay for Cork.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
