Village residents living in fear of criminals
Residents of Malamulele near Giyani in Limpopo are living in fear of gun-wielding criminals who attack them in their homes.
Recently, community members protested and accused the police of not doing enough to arrest the criminals, who recently shot and killed a 20-year-old young man and raped his 17-year-old sister in Malamulele Extension B.
They fled the scene with stolen property including a cellphone, laptop, chainsaw, TV, bicycle and grinder collectively valued at R36 300.

Authorities said there were many more housebreaking cases reported in the area.
Yesterday, Limpopo police provincial commissioner LieutenantGeneral Thembi Hadebe, together with transport and community safety MEC Violet Mathye, visited the area to assess the progress made so far in the fight against crime.
'Crime-related incidents prompted the deployment of multidisciplinary forces in the area to stabilise the situation. The area has experienced a spate of violent crime, including house robberies and other violent incidents in which several homes were targeted,' Hadebe said.

'Our team has done a good job as three suspects linked to the recent case were arrested, while 11 other suspects, including foreign nationals, have also been arrested for other crimes committed in the area.'
'We have deployed more officers in Malamulele after realising that crime is on the rise. We have relaunched the Community Policing Forum (CPF) at some of the crime hotspots to make sure that they assist in the fight against crime.
'We are appealing to the community members to join the police as reservists and to be part of the CPF,' he said.
Residents under siege
Hadebe said the police were doing well to address the situation at Malamulele and neighbouring villages.
Several residents who spoke to The Citizen confirmed that they were under siege and they were even afraid to go out on the street at night.
'Things are out of hand here, the crime rate in our area is too high and we are being attacked every day by armed criminals,' said a resident who asked not to be named.

'People are being raped, killed and robbed of their belongings.
'Every night when we go to sleep, we don't know whether we will make it through the night.'
He said the rampant crime in the area started a few years ago when the police started to fight illegal mining in the area.

He alleges that most of the criminal activities are committed by foreign nationals and the locals who were involved in illegal mining.
'Since the police interrupted their illegal mining projects, they started to commit crime and terrorise the community members.'
Another resident, a single mother, said it was hard for them because every night she feared that they might be attacked by criminals.

‘We are not safe': Tzaneen residents accuse police of failing to act on GBVF crisis
Residents are angry after a toddler was raped in Lusaka Village, near Nkowankowa. Residents of Nkowankowa and the surrounding areas in Tzaneen, Limpopo, are furious and calling on the police to work closely with locals to fight against gender-based violence and Femicide(GBVF). Several community members who spoke to The Citizen said they were angered by a recent incident in which a toddler was raped in Lusaka Village near Nkowankowa. Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said the suspect sneaked into the room where the baby was sleeping with her mother and took her to the house's passage, where he raped her. 'The mother heard the child crying and found her on the ground,' said Mashaba. He stated that the police were still searching for the suspect, and no arrest had been reported at that time. Living in fear Elizabeth Shingange, a community leader and founder of the Elizabeth Home Foundation, said women and children were being killed and abused in the areas around Tzaneen. She said that between April and May, six women were murdered in different areas. 'Look, currently there is an ongoing case whereby a man is facing more than 80 rape cases. This case indicates that this man was continuing with his action without any interruption because if he was arrested for some of the cases, he would not be facing so many charges.' 'The criminals know very well that they will not be arrested because the community members don't trust the police. Previously, we had a situation in which the police failed to protect the whistleblowers, so they are afraid to tell the police what they know.' Shingange has urged the provincial police management to talk with the communities about how they can work together to address the problem. Another resident who asked not to be named said, 'What I can tell you is that we are not safe because criminals are not being arrested.' Viljoens say Tammy Taylor will not get her R71 million

In a video posted on Melany Viljoen's Facebook page, the couple say they will answer some questions they received from Wie's Nuus on KYKnet because 'fake news' only tells half-truths. My lawyers in South Africa sent me the order this morning. All the order says is that she loses her rights on the trademark in South Africa; she gets $4 million, but this is against the company. I sold that company two years before the default judgement.' 'Our ID numbers are not on the order and her order, is as empty as Mike Bolhuis' bank account,' he said. The media do not want to hear this, but we have proof.' 'That judge is such a clown. These things are not trained to rule on cases. They only give blacks with black lawyers the judgments they want.' 'So, we did a deep search and see the ANC's mission is to make the country socialist and take away from people what they can. After Peet watched Dr Ernst Roets on Tucker Carlson's podcast, he realised that they can really take our things just like that.' 'Then we realised we do not have to sit with the abuse. Blacks showing up at our homes, salons and offices with AKs that they hold against our heads. We are not OK with that. I started living in fear, and I was not happy in South Africa anymore.' Peet adds that they would have gone to the US long ago if Trump had invited them then. A giggling Melany then says they do not want to be uninvited guests in a country. He says he sold everything in South Africa bit by bit, as people immediately think you are in financial trouble if you sell your stuff. 'I have to explain to nobody whether I am rich or poor.' Peet points out that he only hates blacks in South Africa in the same way a child who is molested by a man will hate men. He then returns to back the legal system in South Africa. 'People must wake up. They get cross when I say it, but they should change the whole legal system and call it Boswell Wilkie Circus, because it is a f*n circus. The judges are clowns. They all only passed standard six without maths and left at first break.' He also goes on a rant against Shadrack Sibiya, deputy police commissioner, who he says destroyed his life.
