Hannah scores 17 as Bradley defeats North Alabama 71-62 in NIT
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Darius Hannah led Bradley over North Alabama on Wednesday night with 17 points off of the bench in a 71-62 victory in the NIT.
Bradley (27-8) will play George Mason in the second round.
Hannah also contributed six rebounds for the Braves. Christian Davis scored 13 points and added six rebounds and three blocks. Jaquan Johnson shot 4 of 10 from the field, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 6 from the line to finish with 11 points, while adding four steals.
The Lions (24-11) were led in scoring by Donte Bacchus, who finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Jacari Lane added 12 points.
Bradley led 39-21 at halftime, with Davis racking up 11 points. Hannah scored a team-high 12 points in the final half.

HOUSTON (AP) — Emmanuel Sabbi scored a goal in the fourth minute, Sebastian Berhalter added a goal and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0 on Wednesday night. Yohei Takaoka had two saves and his MLS-high 10th shutout this season for Vancouver. Mathias Laborda's header from the center of the area, off a ball-in played by Édier Ocampo, was parried by diving goalkeeper Jonathan Bond but Sabbi blasted a half-volley into the net to open the scoring. Brian White, on the right side of the area, played a pass back to a charging Sebastian Berhalter for a first-touch finish from just outside the penalty box in the 42nd. White had a penalty kick blocked by Bond but tapped in his own rebound to cap the scoring in the 56th. (AP) — Sam Surridge had a goal and an assists, Hany Mukhtar also scored a goal and Nashville SC beat Columbus 3-0 on Wednesday night to snap the Crew's five-game unbeaten streak, which included four wins. Joe Willis had four saves and his eighth shutouts this season — tied for third most in MLS — for Nashville (13-5-5). Nashville took a 1-0 lead in the second minute on an own goal by Sean Zawadzki. Edvard Tagseth, on the counter-attack, tapped a first-touch pass from the top of the area to the left side, where Alex Muyl played a chest-high entry that was redirected into the net by Zawdzki. Mukhtar scored in the 30th make it 2-0.
