Who is the Rams' most exciting UDFA addition?
The Los Angeles Rams signed a bevy of undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL Draft to round out their roster heading into summer workouts. These are players who, for whatever reason, weren't considered draftable prospects by any of the franchises.
However, that doesn't mean they aren't exciting players. The Rams have had a lot of success in recent years with undrafted players, too, which players like starting left tackle Alaric Jackson and starting inside linebacker Omar Speights.
One of the Rams' newest additions could hit, and Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski predicts linebacker Shaun Dolac is L.A.'s "most exciting" UDFA heading into the summer.
"The Los Angeles Rams failed to draft a linebacker until choosing Ole Miss' Pooh Paul Jr. in this year's fifth round," Sobleski wrote. "Considering the state of the position, the undrafted Shaun Dolac may have as much of a chance to make their roster and possibly contribute as Paul does.
"'Tackling machine can be an overused phrase when it comes to describing linebackers. When discussing Dolac, it's appropriate. The Buffalo product finished first or second in total tackles during the 2022 and 2024 campaigns. Between the two seasons, he amassed 315 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 12 defended passes and five interceptions. He then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023.
"Clearly, instincts and production are not a problem. The reigning MAC Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American is undersized at 6'0" and 221 pounds. However, he has the athletic traits to remain productive as part of the Rams roster."
Dolac has the experience, production and skillset to earn a role on Chris Shula's defense. He may not be an immediate impact starter, but he should compete with the other backups like Paul, Tony Fields II and Elias Neal. Troy Reeder is pretty injury-prone, too, so there could be ample opportunities to see snaps if Dolac makes a good impression during training camp.

Baldy's Breakdowns: NFL analyst expects Braden Fiske to 'take a big step' in 2025

'I can't wait to see what he does in his sophomore season' So much of the attention on defense goes to reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse, but the Los Angeles Rams have another star up front in Braden Fiske. The former Florida State Seminole is coming off a season where he had a team-high 8.5 sacks, wasting no time bursting onto the scene as a second-round rookie. Fiske was a disruptive force for the Rams last season and after working hard on his body this offseason, he's in even better shape entering Year 2. He feels stronger and just as quick as before despite adding a few pounds, cutting his body fat thanks to some diet adjustments. NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger has high expectations for Fiske in 2025, putting the spotlight on Los Angeles' stud defensive lineman in his recent 'Baldy's Breakdowns' segment on social media. 'Counting the postseason, Braden Fiske led all rookies with 10 sacks last year. I can't wait to see what he does in his sophomore season,' Baldinger said. Baldinger highlighted Fiske's combination of power and speed, which were on display during multiple plays against the Cardinals and Vikings last year. It's unfortunate he got hurt in the divisional round against the Eagles but thankfully, it was only a minor knee injury. He's back to being fully healthy and prepared to wreak havoc each and every week this season.

Puka Nacua explains why he's deferred to Davante Adams as Rams' leader in WR drills

Nacua praised Adams' veteran presence and explained why he asked the All-Pro to take the lead during drills Just days into the start of Los Angeles Rams training camp, Puka Nacua is already embracing the presence and leadership of his All-Pro teammate Devante Adams. Right from the start, Adams isn't just participating; he's influencing everything that comes to mind, from drills to pacing to leadership, similar to the way Cooper Kupp did. While the Rams will look for their young star wideout to embrace more of a leadership role in Year 3 himself, Nacua didn't hesitate one bit when he asked Adams to take the lead in position drills, signaling the respect that the future Hall of Famer has earned over his 11-year career. 'I've asked Davante to lead our position group, to lead our position group drills,' Nacua said. 'There is a respect for him to come in saying, 'I don't want to push you out of the way or take your spot and be like, oh, I should be up there number one.' But it's something that I have a huge amount of respect for his game and I'm blessed to be around great people like Coop and Davante.' While in the presence of a route-running wizard, Nacua – who has also showcased himself as one of the league's best route runners over his first two seasons – has continued to play as a student of the game and watching Adams up close during live reps is having a great impact. "When I was in the front, I'm trying to sprint as fast as I can so I can turn around and watch him,' Nacua added. "So, I was like, 'Hey, I think it'll make my job a little bit easier if you just go first.' Today I was right there in the back and I'm just standing like this because I'm going to watch the tape again, but I'm like, there's nothing better than seeing him with my own two eyes." The Rams signed Adams in March to help fill the void left by Kupp, who joined the division-rival Seahawks and will face his former team twice this season. Adams' arrival not only adds a proven playmaker to the offense but also continues the mentorship pipeline for the rising star Nacua. His eagerness to learn and willingness to defer to the 32-year-old veteran speak volumes about the leadership presence Adams brings to the Rams' wide receiver room. NFL analyst names this Rams starter a potential trade candidate

The Los Angeles Rams aren't known for shipping out too many of their starters ahead of a season. Players like Cooper Kupp and Christian Rozeboom left during the middle of the offseason, either because the team wanted to move on from them (Kupp) or their contracts simply ran out (Rozeboom). However, with the draft well behind them and the 2025 preseason staring straight ahead, Pro Football Focus' Bradley Locker thinks the Rams could trade one of their starters from the past few years: tight end Tyler Higbee. Although the Rams have ushered in a new receiving corps in the past few years, Higbee has long been a staple of Sean McVay's offense. At the same time, the team's recent tight end investments could signal that Higbee's time in Los Angeles is nearing its end. Higbee was effective when on the field last year, turning in a 76.4 PFF overall grade with a 79.1 PFF receiving grade — his best since 2019. But the 32-year-old played only 128 snaps due to a knee injury and is in the final year of his current contract. The Rams' jubilation in landing second-round tight end Terrance Ferguson is eye-opening, especially because the team has searched for a coveted weapon for multiple offseasons. On top of that, Los Angeles returns Davis Allen (63.3 PFF run-blocking grade) and Colby Parkinson (66.2 PFF pass-blocking grade) as depth behind the newcomer. Los Angeles parted with Cooper Kupp earlier this offseason, and Higbee may be next in line. Ferguson is most certainly the heir apparent to Higbee's role, with one of Allen or Parkinson sliding in as the run-blocking backup. However, it might be unwise to trade away Higbee before the team really knows what they have in Ferguson. This past season proved that Allen and Parkinson could not step into a pass-catching role while Higbee was out with injury. So, if Ferguson takes time to develop, the Rams would be back to the same issue that plagued them to start the 2024 season. Who would want the 32-year-old Higbee, either? Former first-round tight end Noah Fant is a free agent, and the Rams have much more invested in Higbee as a piece of their offensive game plan than any other team. Keeping Higbee for now makes the most sense unless the Rams have a compelling offer on the table.
