Who is the Rams' most exciting UDFA addition?
The Los Angeles Rams signed a bevy of undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL Draft to round out their roster heading into summer workouts. These are players who, for whatever reason, weren't considered draftable prospects by any of the franchises.
However, that doesn't mean they aren't exciting players. The Rams have had a lot of success in recent years with undrafted players, too, which players like starting left tackle Alaric Jackson and starting inside linebacker Omar Speights.
One of the Rams' newest additions could hit, and Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski predicts linebacker Shaun Dolac is L.A.'s "most exciting" UDFA heading into the summer.
"The Los Angeles Rams failed to draft a linebacker until choosing Ole Miss' Pooh Paul Jr. in this year's fifth round," Sobleski wrote. "Considering the state of the position, the undrafted Shaun Dolac may have as much of a chance to make their roster and possibly contribute as Paul does.
"'Tackling machine can be an overused phrase when it comes to describing linebackers. When discussing Dolac, it's appropriate. The Buffalo product finished first or second in total tackles during the 2022 and 2024 campaigns. Between the two seasons, he amassed 315 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 12 defended passes and five interceptions. He then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023.
"Clearly, instincts and production are not a problem. The reigning MAC Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American is undersized at 6'0" and 221 pounds. However, he has the athletic traits to remain productive as part of the Rams roster."
Dolac has the experience, production and skillset to earn a role on Chris Shula's defense. He may not be an immediate impact starter, but he should compete with the other backups like Paul, Tony Fields II and Elias Neal. Troy Reeder is pretty injury-prone, too, so there could be ample opportunities to see snaps if Dolac makes a good impression during training camp.

Rams training camp preview: Will LA's secondary be a strength or weakness?
Depth isn't a concern but top-end talent might be lacking in LA's secondary The Los Angeles Rams' secondary got off to a terrible start last season but by the end of the year, it was excelling against even the top receivers in the league – including Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown in the postseason. That turnaround in coverage helped the Rams make a run in the playoffs but they can't afford to get off to such a slow start in 2025. With many of the same defensive backs on the roster still, the Rams are counting on their incumbent starters to take positive steps this season. The question is, will they? From Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon at cornerback to Kamren Curl and Kamren Kinchens at safety, the Rams have talent in the secondary. They just need to play better as a cohesive unit. Here's a look at how the secondary stands with training camp getting underway. Roster locks All six of these players are going to make the team and they'll all play major roles on defense, too. Williams, Witherspoon and Durant are the top pure cornerbacks, but Lake is as versatile as anyone and is essentially a slot cornerback who can also play safety. Curl and Kinchens gave the Rams a dynamic new safety tandem last season in their first year with the team, as Kinchens tied for the team lead with four interceptions. Kinchens should see even more playing time in Year 2 now that he's gained some comfort on defense. Likely to make it McCollough is almost certain to make the 53-man roster but as a former undrafted rookie, the Rams don't have big financial ties to him. Plus, he needs to show that his strong rookie season in 2024 wasn't a fluke after picking off four passes, returning one for a touchdown. He's a great backup to have on the roster with his ability to play deep or cover the slot. On the bubble This is where things get very complicated and unpredictable. The Rams are likely to keep at least eight defensive backs, potentially even going as high as 10 DBs. That means anywhere from one to three of the players listed here will make the 53-man roster. All of them likely breathed a sigh of relief when the Rams chose not to trade for Jalen Ramsey or Jaire Alexander, giving them a much better shot to make the team. Now the real work begins in training camp as they attempt to show the coaching staff that they deserve to stick around into September. Forbes is perhaps the most intriguing name on the list because of his pedigree of being a former first-round pick. Kendrick missed all of 2024 with a torn ACL but he's back this year and attempting to reclaim a starting spot in the secondary. Dixon-Williams and Valcarcel are two undrafted rookies with a lot to prove and given the Rams' knack for finding talented safeties late in the draft or in free agency, one of them could be the next gem. Position battle to watch If not for Lake, these three players would likely be the top cornerbacks in nickel packages. However, Lake's ability to play in the slot complicates things for Williams, Witherspoon and Durant. Lake plays every snap, which means Williams, Witherspoon and Durant could be competing for the two outside cornerback spots. The Rams will rotate their corners a bit depending on the opponent and individual matchup, but only two of them are likely to be full-time players. That competition could be sorted out in training camp. Potential sleeper While not a sleeper by name as a former first-rounder, Forbes is someone to watch. He barely played after being claimed by the Rams last season but with a full offseason of training in Los Angeles, his stock is on the rise. He received high praise from his coaches during the offseason workout program, too, even bulking up this spring in an attempt to get better in his third NFL season. It's not out of the question for him to play a lot of snaps for the Rams this season. Follow Rams Wire on X, Facebook and Threads for more coverage!

NFL analyst predicts where Kyren Williams' new contract should rank among other RBs
Kyren Williams and the Los Angeles Rams are engaged in contract extension negotiations this offseason as the running back enters his fourth NFL season. If the two sides agree on a deal, Williams will undoubtedly become one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL. Bleacher Report's Moe Moton predicts that when ink hits paper, Williams will be the fifth-highest paid running back in the league with a new three-year, $40.5 million contract with $25.5 million guaranteed. Kyren Williams should slightly edge [Buffalo Bills running back] James Cook in salary. As of Tuesday, the Los Angeles Rams seem more willing to strike a new deal with him than the Buffalo Bills are with Cook. ... Williams is more vital to the Rams' offense than Cook is to the Bills' Josh Allen-led offense. Moton added that Matthew Stafford's age and impending departure (in a year or two, at least) mean that the Rams will need to lean on veteran leadership at other positions — including running back — in the future. Sean McVay can't rely on Blake Corum or Jarquez Hunter to carry the load if Williams leaves and Stafford's production declines, so the only way forward, really, is to keep Williams around on a lucrative contract extension. It makes sense, especially given Williams' consistent production over the past two years. And while paying lots of money to a running back who isn't a name like Barkley, Henry or McCaffrey might be hard to swallow, the Rams are trying to build a long-term contender. Williams will have to be a part of that with the quarterback plan still an unknown post-Stafford.

Rams star predicted to become potential future All-Pro player
The Los Angeles Rams have a lot of emerging talent on the defensive side of the ball. That's all thanks to expert scouting and drafting by Les Snead and Sean McVay, but also quality coaching from defensive coordinator Chris Shula and the rest of the staff. But are any of them All-Pro material? We already saw Jared Verse make the Pro Bowl and win Defensive Rookie of the Year, but making the All-Pro team is an even harder personal accolade to achieve. CBS Sports' Josh Edwards used historical metrics to try to predict which players at all defensive positions could blossom into All-Pro players. Oddly enough, the only Rams player to make the cut was defensive tackle Kobie Turner — not Verse. Turner was regarded as undersized coming out of Wake Forest a few years ago, but in his two professional seasons, has averaged 8.5 sacks. Los Angeles has done a phenomenal job revamping that defensive front, which creates a lot of one-on-one pass rush moments for all involved. It is assumed that Turner will continue receiving and capitalizing on those opportunities. Verse, meanwhile, lost out to Will Anderson Jr. of the Houston Texans — another defending Defensive Rookie of the Year who has shown a lot of promise in limited time — for the linebacker All-Pro prediction slot. This isn't a perfect science, but what Edwards is trying to do is find patterns that give a glimpse of a potential future. Turner has proven to be a great interior defensive lineman who still has work to do to become elite. This could be the year he takes that leap.
