On the Podcrushed podcast, Nick reminisced about a theatre production he took part in called A Christmas Carol. 'My first crush was kind of a two-part deal. It's kind of embarrassing,' he admitted, reflecting on his early days on Broadway. 'I was around people who loved to sing and dance and tell stories for the first time, and I really felt like I belonged in this community. And specifically, one of my castmates named Lily…' He paused briefly before continuing, 'But I also had a crush on the child wrangler.

For those unfamiliar, Nick explained, 'They're the ones who run the set when parents can't be around. They help with schoolwork and, you know, just make sure kids don't die on set.' Even at just 8 years old, Nick said he felt nervous about both Lily and the child wrangler finding out about his feelings. So, in true kid fashion, he 'tried to keep it cool.'
