Fuming holidaymakers foil fellow Brits' sneaky plans to secure sunbeds seven hours before hotel pool opens
Whilst enjoying a late-night chat on their balcony in Majorca, Mandy Boyd spotted some lads she thought were taking a cheeky dip in the pool.
However, on further inspection, the 34-year-old noticed the young men were attempting to secure the best beds at 2am.
The pool was actually not opening until 9am the following day.
The group of four girls watched on as the lads pulled out their sunloungers to try and secure the best spots.
Mandy and her friends quietly waited on the balcony for the perfect moment to run down and take the towels.
The hilarious sunbed wars foiling took place around 2am at the Aquasol Aparthotel, Palmanova, near Magaluf, Spain.
However, on further inspection, the 34-year-old noticed the young men were attempting to secure the best beds at 2am
Accompanied by her friend, Sally Willows, the pair got down to the pool and quickly snatched the towels on Sunday night.
'We're just doing the Lord's work,' Mandy of Bridgend, South Wales, told Luxury Travel Daily.
'I hate it when people reserve sunbeds and don't use them all day.
'I just find it really inconsiderate.
'It was shocking to see them reserving beds at 2am, especially when there was zero chance of those lads being up to enjoy them.
'We kept the towels, but made sure we left them where they would find them.'
Fellow holidaymakers applauded the girls' foiling of sun bed wars.
Jo Townsend said: 'Guarantee they wouldn't have come down to the pool until about 11am as well.'
Sue added: 'You have taken sunbed wars to a whole new level.'
She added: 'It was shocking to see them reserving beds at 2am, especially when there was zero chance of those lads being up to enjoy them'
Jaynie said: 'Well done ladies.'
Lou said: 'B***** hell girls, this is taking sunbed wars too far.'
One added: 'You should've left a ransom note.'
It comes after British holidaymakers were seen queuing for over an hour in a bid to secure the best poolside spots at a Canary Islands resort.
Sunseekers armed with towels, suncream, and flipflops were captured in bizarre footage on May 28 lining up for the pool at the Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort, Las Palmas, Spain.
It appears the sunbed wars are now in full swing with hotel guests setting alarms extra early just to form queues to the pool area until staff give them the all clear.
The queue of people has become a regular morning routine for holidaymakers at the Spanish hotel according to guests.
Isabelle Hanssen, whose balcony overlooks the pool watched on at the pool goers eagerly waited in line.
According to the halfpipe skier, the queue is usually made up of Brits with a few Germans also standing in line.
Isabelle, from the Netherlands, also revealed that the queues start from as early as 8am despite the pool not opening until 9:30am.

Love Island couple reveal they are being kept apart after fiery Jury vote on the ITV2 show
A LOVE Island couple are seemingly being kept apart following the explosive Jury challenge on the show. This year's former Islanders all made a comeback to the villa to cast their thoughts on the final few couples. 4 4 As part of their task, they all had to pick whether to dump Angel and Ty from the show or Meg and Dejon. With the majority choosing to axe long-standing couple Meg and Dejon, the duo were sent packing amid their dimming popularity with show viewers. But now one Islander has appeared to confirm that he is being kept apart from his girlfriend when not filming for the show in Majorca. Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood appeared to find love on the show amid a messy love triangle with now finalist Toni. The hunky footballer quit the villa amid a fall-out with Toni and in a bid to reconcile with Lauren. The couple have been seemingly inseparable ever since but in a new TikTok live, Harrison told how he wasn't staying with Lauren. With the Islanders still all in Majorca following the vote, Harrison told his fans that he wasn't in the same villa as his girlfriend. He said in the clip: "I can't go outside and see Lauren man. "She's in another villa which is like an hour away from me. "She is miles away." Love Island 2025 is the sauciest season for nearly a decade Instead, Harrison appeared to be enjoying some down-time with his fellow Love Island boys. Before confirming they were apart, Harrison appeared to have a slip of the tongue when he confused his girlfriend's name for his long-running villa love interest, Toni. While answering a fan question, he said: "I can't go outside and see Toni..." He quickly realised his mistake and corrected himself. Earlier in the series, viewers watched Lauren be dumped from the villa in a brutal twist. She begged Harrison to leave alongside her - but he wasn't sure and decided to sleep on it. However, just a day later, he decided to voluntarily walk away from the villa. 4 4

Rochelle Humes shows her support for Myleene Klass' ex Graham Quinn in beaming holiday snaps after her cheating accusations
Rochelle Humes made sure to show her support for Myleene Klass' ex Graham Quinn as she included him in her Instagram round up on Monday. The former Saturdays singer, 36, took to social media to share an array of snaps from her recent Ibiza holiday to mark her 13th anniversary with husband Marvin. Joined by their nearest and dearest, the star included a snap of her JLS star husband grinning beside Graham, who used to manage the band, and their other pals. Graham found himself back in the public eye last week after his ex Myleene accused him of cheating on her with another celebrity - at her own birthday party. Myleene claimed she walked in on him taking the clothes off an unnamed star who has built a brand on her 'family values'. However Rochelle showed her support for Graham despite the claims. She penned: '72 hours in sea, belly laughing, questionable dance moves and spicy margs that tasted better than our decisions. 'Our annual non negotiable child free trip with old friends who remind you who you are. Sore heads all round today but ironically my battery feels recharged! Just what I needed. 'Happy 13 my love @marvinhumes what a way to celebrate'. The bodyguard, 47, started dating Myleene in 2001, having met when he worked as security guard for her pop group Hear'Say. The couple went on to welcome daughters Ava, 17, and Hero, 14, and tied the knot in 2011 after a decade together - only to separate six months later. And last week Myleene reflected on her relationship with Graham as she recalled walking in on him and a female celebrity taking each other's clothes off on the balcony of her own home. Refusing to name the woman, the Loose Women panelist hinted that the person in question has built a career off a 'family brand' and clarified that it was before they had got married. Speaking on Paul Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, the mother-of-two said: 'I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony.' She penned: 'Our annual non negotiable child free trip with old friends who remind you who you are' Rochelle wowed in the snaps as she showcased her sensational physique in a red bikini According to the TV presenter, the pair tried to claim that it wasn't what it looked like and she continued: 'I'm in my house, it's my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. 'It's not what you think'. But I'm like, 'It is what I think'. 'It's the first thing they both said. I kicked everyone out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland and his dad said: 'He doesn't get it from me'. 'I remember thinking that was quite a weird thing to say,' she told the love expert. Graham tried to blame the affair on being drunk. Myleene admitted the whole ordeal was a 'pretty big red flag' but still went through with their wedding in October 2011. Turning her thoughts towards the other woman, Myleene said: 'I've made peace with that situation now, but for a long time, it was very difficult to see their life. 'My life literally just broke apart very, very publicly and their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it. I have to take some accountability 'Look, you know, first and foremost to my children. My children have asked enough questions and it's never been a case of laying out my stall now. 'It's got to be as and when. But here's the funny thing - school mums, people who just want to gossip, will go to your children before anybody else.'
