is lifting India's non-cricket endorsement scene after his recent victory at the 2025 Paris Diamond League and with the launch of the Neeraj Chopra Classic, India's first global javelin event, according to ET.
The competition, held on July 5 at Bengaluru's Sree Kanteerava Stadium, featured some of javelin's top international athletes and attracted major sponsors like Visa, Audi India, Duolingo English Test, and Snapchat.
Chopra's growing influence in the endorsements space is reflective of a larger shift in the country's sport sponsorship and marketing landscape. He along with likes of badminton ace PV Sindhu and shooting star Mannu Bhakar is driving the focus of endorsements circles beyond just cricket.
Emerging sports accounted for 14% of India's ₹1,224 crore sports endorsement market in the year 2024, a jump of 46 percent, which industry experts attribute to the rising influence of athletes like Neeraj Chopra, reported the financial daily.
With the leading brands both national and international making a beeline for the javelin star, Chopra's personal brand value is estimated to be around $30 million according to Kroll analysis quoted in the report.
With that staggering figure he is placed just behind the leading cricketers of the country. His brand roster now includes some 20 big names, including the brands like Tata AIA, Audi India, Visa, Krafton and Under Armour.
Chief commercial office of JSW sports, which manages Chopra's brand engagements, said their emphasis has consistently been on making selective choices.
"Over the last fiscal year, we've seen a clear and strategic evolution in Neeraj's brand portfolio.
The mandate from the very beginning has been to be focused, deliberate, and selective," Karan Yadav, chief commercial officer at JSW was quoted as saying. "Instead of maximising volume, our goal has been to align with brands that resonate with Neeraj's personality, values, and passions."
One instance is Chopra's recent partnership with Audi India."Neeraj's authentic passion for automobiles made Audi a natural partner. The alignment was so strong that the collaboration became a seamless extension of Neeraj's identity," Yadav explains.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Hingoli district, renowned for its high-quality turmeric cultivation, is set to establish the state's first women-run turmeric producers' cooperative society. Already, over 300 women farmers have registered to participate in processing, branding, and exporting turmeric directly, thereby eliminating middlemen. Laxmibai Mutkule, a farmer and member of the initiative, said, "We have been cultivating and selling turmeric for decades, but this is the first time we will have our own brand called Turmex. It is a matter of honour for us." The cooperative plans to procure turmeric directly from women farmers, establish a large-scale processing unit, and export the product globally under a dedicated brand. Ashabai Patil, another woman farmer, said, "There are middlemen and companies that simply pack the high-quality turmeric we cultivate and make 10 times more profit than us. With this initiative, the money will start reaching the cultivators, and that too women cultivators." The initiative is led by zilla parishad CEO Anjali Ramesh, a 2020 batch IAS officer. We will assist these representatives in every step, right from registrations of the products, maintaining of standard and quality of product, designing, labelling, marketing, tie-ups with big players, e-commerce websites, and eventually in entering international markets while meeting the international standards. " Citing official data, she said India produces 95% of the world's turmeric, with Hingoli alone contributing 10% of the economic value of this production. The district is known for producing turmeric with a high curcumin content, making it highly sought after by cosmetic companies nationwide. However, farmers, particularly women, have long struggled with low returns due to intermediaries in the marketing chain. The cooperative is based on women self-help groups formed under the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission. Many of these women are already cultivating and processing turmeric locally. Officials, including Namdev Kendre, the project director of the District Rural Development Agency, and Vikram Saraswat, the block coordinator, are overseeing the registration process. The society also plans to collaborate with the Balasaheb Thackeray Turmeric Research and Training Centre in Vasmat. Through this collaboration, women farmers will receive guidance on all aspects of cultivation, harvesting, and pest and disease management, said the authorities. In the long term, the cooperative aims to sign direct supply contracts with companies to ensure better prices. It also seeks to export high-quality turmeric, thereby providing women farmers with international market access and higher profit margins.

Google on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) said, based on third-party evaluations, the Google Play and Android ecosystem generated ₹4 lakh crore in revenue for app publishers and the wider economy in India in 2024, and supported the creation of 35 lakh direct, indirect, and spillover jobs in the country. According to Google, the Indian ecosystem comprises the second largest number of active developers on Google Play across the world, contributing over 10 lakh developer jobs in 2024. Building compelling offerings on Android, this ecosystem has played an important role in shaping the impact and inclusiveness of India's digital economy. Approximately 72% of surveyed Indian users claimed their first access to the internet was on an Android device; some 85% say their Android phone is one of the main ways they access digital public services, and 69% report first using AI through an app on their Android device. Device makers have also been able to make devices affordable due to the open-source nature of Android, which has assisted in estimated savings of ₹25,200 crore in development and operating costs. At Google I/O Connect India 2025, an annual developer conference held in Bengaluru, Google announced new initiatives and AI capabilities to support the Indian developer and start-up ecosystem in the country. These included localising data processing of its high-performance thinking model Gemini 2.5 Flash, new Agentic AI tools in Firebase Studio, a new training programme with one of the world's leading gaming engine platforms – Unity, and collaborations with 3 India AI Mission start-ups in building innovative solutions toward the development of India's Make-in-India AI models. Dr. Manish Gupta, Senior Director for India and APAC at Google DeepMind, who opened the event, said, 'Indian developers are writing the next chapter of India's success story, using AI capabilities to build real-world applications that are reaching millions of businesses and people across the country and the world.' Preeti Lobana, Country Manager, Google India, who held a fireside chat with Subrata Mitra, Partner, Accel, on building enduring AI-driven companies during the event's opening keynote, said, 'India's developers are shaping how the world will use AI, and we're proud to stand with them. We're giving India the best tools, the most open platforms, and the strongest support to build boldly for the world, fostering a profound 'AI Productivity Leap' across businesses and start-ups.' Google said it was closely partnering with BharatGen at IIT Bombay to build indigenous Indic language Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) models that would aim to make Gemma (a set of lightweight, generative artificial intelligence open models) more helpful in the Indic context, especially for historically underrepresented languages and governance applications.
