LIAM Gallagher was booed by fans at Oasis' first Manchester gig last night after he dedicated a song to the "greatest of all time".
The iconic band performed their first of five nights at Heaton Park yesterday, belting out tunes in their hometown for the first time in 16 years.

However, some fans were less than happy after the front man made a special dedication midway through the gig before a performance of D'You Know What I Mean.
Before getting into the track, Liam addressed the crowd, saying: "I'd like to dedicate this to the greatest manager of all time, Mr Pep Guardiola."
The mention of Guardiola, who has served as manager of the brothers' beloved football team Manchester City since 2016, sparked some boos from the crowd - likely from fans of rival team Manchester United.
Liam began to imitate praying towards the manager, bending down and lowering his back while his hands are raised.
As some of the crowd begins to boo, Noel responds by asking: 'Who you f***ing booing, who you f***ing booing?'
Footage of the moment also shows a life-sized cut-out of the iconic manager with a Man City scarf around his neck on stage.
Thankfully, fans - even those supporting rival teams - enjoyed the moment and broke into laughter as Liam launched into an emphatic version of D'You Know What I Mean.
Footage also showed Guardiola, 54, enjoying the gig last night alongside his daughter, belting out the words to Don't Look Back in Anger alongside 80,000 fans.
Even before the show, the Man City manager was seen partying backstage with the Gallagher brothers' family.
Picture show Noel's sons Donovan and Sonny next to Liam's daughter Anais, with Pep wedged between Liam's boys Gene and Lennon.

The Spaniard enjoyed backstage VIP access and wore a classic retro Man City shirt and a casual pair of denim shorts, with Gene sharing it on his Instagram.
The 24-year-old wrote: "Pic of the century alright now everyone else can f*** off."
Oasis guitarist Noel, 56, is a lifelong Man City superfan and regularly attends games at the Etihad Stadium.
He was the first to interview Guardiola following his arrival in Manchester nine years ago and the pair have since established a close bond.

Brother Liam, 52, is also a lifelong fan of the club.
Oasis' gig on Friday was the third of their tour, which began in Cardiff on July 4.
The Manchester concert began as the brothers walked onto the stage together to cheers from the crowd - marking Oasis's return to their roots.
Liam held his older brother's hand and raised it, while he had his trademark maracas in his other fist.

Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that the brothers' had to hire around the clock security for their mum, Peggy.
They took the measures in a bid to protect Peggy, 82, after overzealous fans started turning up at her house.
A source said: "Noel and Liam are devoted to their mum Peggy and they knew there would be a lot of interest in her after Oasis reunited.
"They wanted her to keep being able to live a quiet life and there have been fans coming to the house.
"They have employed a security firm to keep an eye on her and make sure she isn't hassled."

A major Oasis fan who failed to bag a ticket to the band's iconic reunion tour claimed he managed to get in using a very ingenious plan. John Spilsbury, 42, was determined to join the 80,000 strong crowd on Friday night as the rock band took to the stage in Manchester for the first time in 16 years. After racking his brain for a way in, the super fan decided to pose as a little picker so he could walk straight up to the front - and claims it worked. The transport planner said he wore a yellow hi-vis vest, carried a litter picker and held a bin bag before strolling up to the gates at Heaton Park, The Sun first reported. After being waved through, Mr Spilsbury said he got right to the front standing section using his smart disguise. Living up to his persona of the night, the fan claimed he carried out a '30 minute shift' of litter picking before removing his outfit to enjoy the show. Mr Spilsbury, from Alfreton in Cheshire, posted on social media: 'No Ticket No Problem. 'When you can't get a ticket for Oasis so take a hi viz and grabber and pretend to be a litter picker then walk straight into front standing.' Viewers praised the transport planner for being a 'legend and a genius', while others joked there will be '6,000 litter pickers' turning up to the next concert. The band's shows at Heaton Park - a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester - are the only UK concerts held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield. One in five Britons splash out on concerts as Oasis spearheads a summer of top live acts
One in five adults are spending money on concerts this summer as fans flock to see shows such as Oasis, according to Barclays. Global stars who have already played in the UK recently include Beyonce and Pitbull. Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter also performed at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, London. Those surveyed said they would spend an average of £160.80 in total each on music events this summer. And Brits are also set to spend £1.06billion during Oasis's long-awaited reunion tour, which kicked off this month, economists at the bank predict. Spending on live music grew 2.5 per cent last month, compared to the year before. This helped to lift otherwise lacklustre spending on hospitality and leisure by 2.1 per cent. It is set to be a blockbuster summer for cinemas too. Popular releases, including Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, helped spending in this sector rise 26.9 per cent.
