
Govt. committed to promote cottage industries for generating large scale employment: Deputy Chief Minister
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced the State government's resolve to actively promote cottage industries which can generate large scale employment and help in income generation for the aspiring sections.
The government is firm that goods produced by artisans and traditional craftsmen were of immense utility to society. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating stalls set up as part of exhibition and sale of BC artisans handmade products under the aegis of the BC Welfare department here on Wednesday.
He said the government was committed to encouraging handmade products as part of building a healthy Telangana. The Minister went round the exhibition featuring products made by different cottage industries not only from the State Capital but also from different districts. The exhibition showcasing clay utensils made by potters, bamboo products by Medari artisans, beadwork items, and handloom products from Pochampally, Gadwal, and Narayanpet will be open till June 29.
Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka interacted with artisans who put up stalls, including the Goud community members, who put up Neera-based products on display.
The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the people to visit the exhibition, purchase eco-friendly and health-beneficial products so as to support traditional artisans. The government on its part was allocating dedicated funds with special focus on corporations of backward classes for the upliftment of the community.
Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka, accompanied by Ministers Ponnam Prabhalar and Vakiti Srihari tasted the dishes prepared by the fishermen community members as part of their visit to the exhibition.

JTL Industries records nearly 27% YoY growth in Q1 sales volume
JTL Industries said that it has recorded 26.5% growth in quarterly sales volume to 1,08,406 MT in Q1 FY26 from 85,674 MT in Q1 FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, the growth was 32.4%, in comparison to 81,885 MT in Q4 FY25. JTL Engineering, formerly known as Nabha Steel and Metals, contributed 6,824 MT of sale to JTL Industries from the total Q1 FY26 sales volume. Commenting on the above business update, the management of the company said: The sales volume also includes 50.41 MT of brass foil, with thickness ranging from 0.04 to 0.2 mm, produced through the recent job work partnership. This growth is a clear reflection of the demand for our products supplemented by a strong support from our clients.
