Jhanak promo: Riya Sharma impresses fans with her new look; Arjit Taneja enters the show as a cop
While the details of the post-leap storyline remain under wraps, a newly released promo gives a glimpse into what's to come. Riya Sharma now plays the titular role of Jhanak, while Arjit Taneja portrays a police officer. The promo shows a brief but telling encounter: Jhanak is walking with her bicycle when it is accidentally pushed by a cop's motorcycle. He apologizes, but she refuses to accept it. When he offers her compensation to apologize, she visibly bristles and states that she will report to the police station to complain — against the officer himself.
The exchange suggests a forceful Jhanak and primes the audience for a hot-headed chemistry between the new leads.
Prior to the leap, Jhanak was played by Hiba Nawab and Anirudh by Krushal Ahuja. Both the actors have since left the show. It is said that Hiba decided to leave because of the age leap her character needed, not feeling that it was the right time for her in her career.
Surprisingly, the jump was already scheduled months prior but was delayed and ultimately scrapped because of scheduling issues.
But with ratings remaining essentially level, the production staff opted to finally proceed with the makeover.
With Arjit Taneja and Jhanak Sharma at the center, the show is looking forward to reviving its storyline while keeping its emotional essence intact. Whether this jump will be complete and bring people back is yet to be seen — but one thing is sure: Jhanak is stepping into a new phase altogether.

I end up with me time when it rains: Twinkle Arora
Udaariyaan actress Twinkle Arora has an emotional connection with the monsoon . 'I love the rains,' she says, adding, 'My idea of enjoying the rains is- a warm cup of coffee in one hand, a book in the other, and a scenic view in front. If I have company, wonderful, but even if I'm alone, I enjoy being by myself in a cozy café, immersed in a book while the rain taps on the windows. ' The actress who is doing the OTT show Jhanak with Arjit Taneja, has also debuted into Punjabi films. 'Being from North India, the concept of geri, is close to our hearts. And I love going on a geri in the rain. I usually end up having a me-time when it's raining.' Reflecting on her breakthrough in Udaariyaan , Twinkle acknowledges how the show became more than just a career milestone. 'The show didn't just put me on the map, it also initiated a spiritual transformation. I evolved and I'm truly grateful for it to my character, Nehmat. But yes, it also brings the pressure of choosing the right next step.' Commenting on the difference between films and TV as mediums, Twinkle says, 'Films are way different than TV. In TV you work every day and give short bursts of emotions during the whole day and learn to handle pressure. Movies are detailed and take longer. I love both mediums and I want to test my craft in every medium, OTT, Hindi, and Hollywood.'

Exclusive: Sneha Bhawsar on Ishani's new time and playing an antagonist; says ‘People love to hate Ankita and that's the biggest compliment I can get'
Ishani, the spin-off of the popular show Jhanak, premiered on July 3 and has already carved its own space on television. Actress Sneha Bhawsar, who plays the manipulative and complex Ankita, is thrilled with how far the show—and her character—have come. Speaking to Times of India TV, she shared her excitement, fan reactions, and what it means to play such a layered role in a prime-time slot. Reflecting on the show's evolving journey, Sneha said, 'Who would've thought… from being part of a show, to a spin-off airing at 11 PM (yes, the 'sab so rahe hote hai' slot), to now becoming our very own show at 7:30 PM with a fresh storyline and identity — it's been a rollercoaster! The love you've shown for Ishani has been unreal, and honestly, that's what kept us going. This journey is just getting started… Stay with us, kyunki abhi toh bas shuruaat hui hai — picture abhi baaki hai!' On audience feedback, Sneha gleefully shared, 'Oh, people love to hate Ankita—and honestly, that's the biggest compliment I can get as an actor! The hate is pouring in—and I'm loving every bit of it! People are genuinely furious at Ankita, and that tells me I'm doing my job just right. That fine line between annoyance and fascination? That's where Ankita lives… rent-free in people's heads.' Looking ahead, fans can expect drama at its best. 'Ankita and Yash's wedding is coming up—it's going to be beautiful, dramatic, and full of unexpected moments,' Sneha teased. Speaking about the prime-time shift, she added, 'Playing Ankita in a prime-time slot is a dream. Most people expect female characters to be likable or redeemable—but Ankita isn't either, and I love that. This slot ensures more people witness her manipulations unfold in real time. That challenge? I live for it.' With intensity, mystery, and emotional depth, Ishani and Sneha's Ankita are clearly here to stay—and stir things up.
