Mahindra Launches CNG Variant of Bolero MaXX
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India's number one pickup maker and producer of the Bolero Pik-Up, has launched the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up HD 1.9 CNG, a new industry benchmark in the nation's small commercial vehicle (SCV) market. The model has been priced at ₹11.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model comes with the largest-in-class payload capacity of 1.85 tonnes, with an aim to offer an enticing combination of performance, efficiency, and utility to transport and logistics operators.
The new Bolero MaXX trim comes with a 2.5-litre turbocharged CNG powertrain that delivers 61 kW power and 220 Nm torque between 1,200–2,200 rpm, providing strong load-hauling capability and cost-effective long-distance driving. Fitted with a 180-litre CNG tank, the pickup has an impressive driving range of up to 400 km on a single fill — an important benefit for companies operating long-distance hauls.
Mahindra has fitted the new pickup with a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, and D+2 seating arrangement to achieve optimal drivability and comfort. Some notable driver-oriented features are air conditioning and heating, and height-adjustable driver's seat for enhanced ergonomics.
One of the key launch highlights is the introduction of iMAXX telematics by Mahindra, transforming the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up HD 1.9 CNG into the brand's first CNG vehicle with connected vehicle technology. The solution offers real-time visibility into vehicle performance and fleet operations designed to enhance uptime and lower operation cost.
Designed to endure and withstand rough roads, the pickup has a 3050 mm long cargo bed, 16-inch tires, and leaf spring suspension on both axles for better load-handling as well as road stability.
Commenting on the launch, Mahindra reiterated its focus on offering tough, dependable, and low-maintenance commercial vehicles with strong resale value — now augmented with green fuel technology for a greener future. The company is confident that this CNG variant will address the changing needs of India's expanding transport and logistics industry.

Tata Power Adds 45,589 Rooftop Solar Units in Q1 FY26, Sets Record
Tata Power Renewables set a new record in Q1 FY26 with 45,589 rooftop solar installations, marking a 416% YoY growth and pushing total capacity past 3.4 GW. By Riddhima Jain Published on July 4, 2025, 16:38 IST Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, recorded its highest-ever rooftop solar growth in Q1 FY26, achieving 45,589 new installations and adding 220 MW of capacity. This marks a 416% year-on-year increase compared to Q1 FY25, when the company installed 8,838 systems. With this milestone, TPREL's total rooftop solar installations now exceed 2.04 lakh, pushing the company's cumulative installed capacity beyond 3.4 gigawatts (GW). The surge further strengthens Tata Power's leadership in India's rooftop solar segment and supports national efforts toward decentralised renewable energy adoption. The record-breaking additions contribute directly to the government's Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGY). TPREL is actively implementing this scheme through its 'Ghar Ghar Solar' campaign, aimed at promoting residential rooftop solar adoption across India. TPREL serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers, with more than 1.8 lakh installations in the residential sector alone. The company's services are supported by a wide network of 604 channel partners and 240 authorized service providers, covering over 900 cities nationwide. In addition to installations, TPREL is expanding its manufacturing capabilities, with a 4.3 GW solar cell and module production capacity in India. This end-to-end solar value chain—from manufacturing to rooftop deployment—positions Tata Power as a key contributor to India's clean energy targets, including the national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. Argentina cuts industrial gas supply amid record cold snap
BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) -Argentina will limit the supply of natural gas for industrial use as residents braving a recent cold snap are using more energy to heat their homes, the South American nation's energy secretariat said on Wednesday. The coldest weather in 30 years has created record demand, with the National Gas Regulatory Entity (Enargas) expecting Wednesday's usage to be 25% higher than the same day last year. "Distributors... were forced to interrupt supplies to CNG (compressed natural gas) contracts and industries," the secretariat said. The government of President Javier Milei, which slashed energy subsidies as part of its public spending cuts, blamed the situation on the lack of infrastructure investment in previous years. In Argentina, as well as in its neighbors Chile and Uruguay, the cold weather caused unexpected snowfall in some areas.
