
Sesharao takes charge as APSSDC chief
He outlined several key initiatives, including establishing Centres of Excellence in every district, implementing special skill programmes for women and launching digital internships for rural youth. Sesharao affirmed that the vision of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and the public welfare policies of Nara Lokesh, Minister for Human Resources Development, will guide the organisation's performance. Under their guidance, APSSDC aims at creating employment opportunities by training youth.
He also mentioned plans to develop a special action plan to deliver skill training to every household, focusing on women, rural youth, and those distant from technology, with the goal of fostering equality. Newly appointed Chairman Sesharao received congratulations from Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, APSSDC MD and CEO G Ganesh Kumar, the executive directors, advisors, other officials, public representatives, industry partners, and prominent figures from the education sector.

Eluru MLA Badeti Radha Krishnayya (Chanti) has urged officials to work with commitment and coordination to ensure the holistic development of the Eluru constituency. Chairing a review meeting at his local camp office on Thursday as part of the 'Good Governance – First Step' initiative, the MLA reviewed key State-level programmes such as Swarna Andhra-2047 and P4, with various department heads and administrative officers. Speaking at the event, Mr. Radha Krishnayya said that the government has laid out a comprehensive roadmap to position Andhra Pradesh as a leading State in India by 2029 and among the top globally by 2047. In line with this, a targeted action plan is being implemented in the Eluru constituency with an annual growth objective of 15%. The MLA emphasised the need to focus on growth in agriculture and allied sectors, industry, and services. He stressed the importance of creating employment and livelihood opportunities for the youth of Eluru by attracting industries and supporting entrepreneurship. Given the presence of several engineering colleges in and around Eluru, he proposed the establishment of a Skill Development College to provide industry-relevant training. He also instructed officials to draft proposals for an MSME park in the district to further boost local economic activity. The MLA urged officials to expedite works under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, particularly the construction of a sewage treatment plant and enhancement of drinking water sources. Under the P4 scheme, he reiterated that improving the living standards of the poor remains the primary goal. He directed that 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' (golden families) identified in the constituency be integrated with designated mentors to ensure targeted economic upliftment. Eluru Urban Development Authority Chairman Peddiboyina Shivaprasad, Municipal Corporation Co-option Member S.M.R. Pedababu, Deputy Commissioner Chandrayya, Deputy Engineer Surendra Babu, Samagra Shiksha Project Director Pankaj Kumar, CPO Vasudeva Rao, Social Welfare JD Y. Vishwamohan Reddy, District Minority Welfare Officer N.S. Krupavaram, and other senior officials from various departments were present.

Private school management associations in Andhra Pradesh defer protest after assurance by government officials
Representatives of private school management associations in Andhra Pradesh have deferred their proposed protest following a reported assurance by the Human Resources Development (HRD) Minister Nara Lokesh on resolution of their grievances, late on Wednesday night (July 2, 2025.) Private schools in Andhra Pradesh warned against turning down admissions under RTE Act In a statement, the members said that extended discussions with the government officials concluded on a positive note and 'our concerns have been taken to the notice of the Minister, along with a clear assurance for resolution.' They said as per their suggestion, the proposed closure of schools has been postponed for now. It may be noted that representatives of various private unaided school managements associations in Andhra Pradesh had announced their decision to close their institutions on Thursday (July 3, 2025) in protest against what they alleged as 'arbitrary and unilateral actions' of certain local officials with regard to implementation of Section 12(1)(C) of the Right to Education Act, 2009.

Renowned hypnotist B.V. Pattabhiram passes away aged 75
Acclaimed hypnotist, personality development coach, author and magician B.V. Pattabhiram died of a heart attack aged 75 at his residence in Hyderabad on Monday. He is survived by wife Jaya and son Prashanth. Bhavaraju Venkata Pattabhiram born in East Godavari of Andhra Pradesh, one of the 15 children to his parents, overcame a childhood disability to become a renowned performer, academic and author of over 30 books. Condolences poured in from different sections of the society after the sudden demise of the renowned personality development expert. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in a post on X said, 'The demise of Pattabhiram, who influenced many people with his personality development teachings and writings, is a great loss. I pray to God that his soul may rest in peace. I express my deepest condolences to his family members.' Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted Pattabhiram's remarkable contributions, and noted that he gained widespread acclaim as a personality development expert, magician, and author. 'His books, written in Telugu, English, Kannada, and Tamil, achieved significant popularity and he conducted thousands of personality development classes, workshops, and seminars across the Telugu States, profoundly impacting the lives of countless students', he said. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) Chief Pawan Kalyan said that hewas deeply saddened to learn about the passing of renowned magician, hypnotist, and personality development expert.
