Box Office: Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3 emerges a BLOCKBUSTER at the overseas box office, after eclipsing its India release
Sardaar Ji 3 Stands At USD 3 Million After 4 Days At The Box Office
Sardaar Ji 3 grew from Friday on Monday at the Canada box office. It saw almost identical collections as Friday in Australia and observed a very small drop in UK. With around USD 3 million through first Monday, the movie has all the chances to be among the top 3 international grossers of Pollywood. The highest grossing Pollywood film right now is Diljit Dosanjh 's own Jatt and Juliet 3, which grossed USD 7.25 million, that too without a release in Pakistan.
Sardaar Ji 3's Excellent Monday Hold Has Assured The Film A Blockbuster Status
The leggie Monday of Sardaar Ji 3 has really changed the perspective of the film from a business point-of-view. The collections of the movie in traditional international Punjabi film markets over the weekend were barely half of Jatt and Juliet3 due to subdued promotions for lesser controversy. As the controversy got bigger, the film also found the audiences that it didn't get in the first weekend.
Sardaar Ji 3 Looks To Get A Rs 20 Crore Plus Overseas Theatrical Share
A Rs 20 crore worth of theatrical share looks more or less assured for Sardaar Ji 3. The budget of Sardaar Ji 3 is Rs 35 crore and the remainder of the amount will be recovered from non-theatrical revenues and of course the rebate from the UK government. The eclipsing of the India release may have cost the makers, not just 15 crore worth of share, but more since the non-theatrical rights will not be as high as they would have been if it saw a release in India.

Jackie Shroff stood in queue to use common toilet in chawl even after becoming an actor, his neighbors then gifted him a washroom
Jackie Shroff may be one of the biggest stars in Bollywood, but his fame never changed who he was. The actor tasted stardom in '80s but despite that, he continued to stay in a chawl in Mumbai's Teen Batti. After gaining popularity in the film industry, his friends and neighbours from the chawl gifted him a private washroom. This was because there are only common washrooms in the chawl that everyone uses. Talking to Filmfare, Jackie Shroff recalled how he did not have a cupboard to keep his suits after becoming an actor. The actor revealed that first his suit came and then the cupboard. The entire chawl had assembled to see it when the cupboard came. 'I learnt the value of things there. There were three washrooms, and after I became an actor they gave me one washroom.' In a chawl of 30 people, Jackie stated that there were only 3 washrooms. Despite the scarcity, the chawl people gifted him one complete washroom after he became a star so that he did not have to stand in a queue. 'After I became an actor, producers and directors would come to meet me in that chawl. Whenever they had to use the washroom, they had to stand in line. The Chawl people didn't like it. So they told me, 'You have become such a star. We don't like it when you or your friends stand in a queue to use the washroom. We are gifting you the washroom.'' The actor recalled telling his friends from Chawl that he did not need another washroom and that his directors and producers did not mind standing in the queue. But his neighbours did not listen and put a lock on the washroom. On the work front, Jackie Shroff has quite an exciting project in his kitty. We all know that after the historic success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Anand are reuniting on King. The film is slated to go on floors on May 20, 2025, and the team has got a solid ensemble on board the action thriller. King is led by SRK and DP with Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma in key roles. And apart from them, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the film is getting even bigger. According to sources close to the development, Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have roped in Jackie Shroff for a key role in the film.

'Father Refused To Go To Pakistan': Naseeruddin Shah After Standing Up For Diljit Dosanjh
Last Updated: Amid backlash over his support for Diljit Dosanjh in the Sardaar Ji 3 row, Naseeruddin Shah says he doesn't need to prove his patriotism to anyone. Naseeruddin Shah has been in the headlines after coming out in support of Diljit Dosanjh over Sardaar Ji 3, which stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Naseer, who had posted on Facebook in support of Dosanjh, has now stated that he doesn't have to prove his love for this country to anyone. In a heartfelt opinion piece for The Indian Express, Naseeruddin Shah shared that his father refused to go to Pakistan with his brother and was quite certain about staying back. He wrote, 'I was born in India into the fifth generation of a Muslim family, my wife into an even older Hindu one, and we hope our children can be a combination of the best of both. My father refused to go to Pakistan when his brothers left; he was certain India had a future for us, just as I feel it does for my offspring. This is a dream that cannot be abandoned." Earlier, Naseeruddin had come forward to back Diljit, who has been receiving flak for his association with a Pakistani co-star. 'I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT," Naseeruddin had written. 'The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they've got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film — the director was." He continued, 'But no one knows who he is, whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned. What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there, and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever I feel like it. And my response to those who will say 'Go to Pakistan' is 'GO TO KAILASA'." Later, when his post was taken down and netizens believed he had indeed removed it, the actor clarified, 'I have NOT deleted my post about Diljit Dosanjh. I don't care a fiddler's fart for backlash." Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also reacted to Naseeruddin's remarks. Speaking to ANI, he said, 'We are not surprised, not shocked, by Naseeruddin Shah's response to Diljit Dosanjh's entire episode. The educated, versatile actor, senior person in the industry, calling us goons proves the frustration and kind of restlessness of Naseeruddin Shah." First Published:
