Third Scotland weather warning issued by Met Office
The new yellow warning for thunderstorms will come into effect at 11am on Monday and will end at 9pm.

Some areas of Scotland could see downpours of up to 40mm, with lightning strikes, hail and strong winds also likely.
The alert will affect much of the mainland, with some parts of the Highlands, Western Isles and the north east spared.
A yellow warning means that people can expect to see road closures, difficult driving conditions, flooding and potential powercuts.
Traffic Scotland has warned motorists of difficult driving conditions and urged people to take care.
Meanwhile, public transport may also be impacted by flooding.
ScotRail said that while it aimed to operate a full timetable, the heavy rain and thunderstorm could lead to issues on the track, causing delays.
The rail operator urged people to check their journey details before travelling.

Labour's Convener moved to simply ignore the mounting evidence, with the Liberal Democrats, SNP and Greens ganging up to pretend these road problems don't exist. No evidence-based assessment. This coalition of inaction leaves Edinburgh commuters facing daily chaos with no hope of improvement. While Aberdeen demonstrates how proper road investment creates benefits for everyone – drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike – Edinburgh's politicians prefer ideological posturing over practical solutions. Labour has run out of ideas for Edinburgh. Their approach of ignoring problems while they worsen shows complete indifference to residents' daily struggles. When these parties next seek your vote, perhaps the response should be 'No Action' in return.

No trains on busy Glasgow Queen Street route today
ScotRail has announced that essential engineering works will take place on Sunday, July 27, closing some lines in the area. Protesters hang off Forth Road Bridge in major protest ahead of Donald Trump's Scotland visit
PROTESTERS have been spotted hanging off the side of a major Scottish bridge as a huge protest gets underway during President Donald Trump's visit. Emergency services raced to the Forth Road Bridge in South Queensferry this afternoon. 3 3 3 The alarm was raised at around 1.05pm after cops received reports of a protest starting to build. Police are urging motorists to stay clear of the area as they deal with the incident. Officers are currently at the scene and are "engaging" with those involved. It's currently unclear what sparked the protest. However, it comes on the day that President Donald Trump is due to land in Scotland for his four-day visit. The US President is jetting into Glasgow Prestwick Airport on Air Force 1 between 7.20pm and 8.05pm. Another no-fly zone is in place from 7.30pm to 8.50pm between the airport and his Trump Turnberry hotel and golf course. The force released a statement which said: "The Forth Road Bridge is closed due to a protest reported to police around 1.05pm on Friday, 25 July. "Officers are in attendance and engaging with those involved. "Please avoid the area." Traffic Scotland has asked motorists to use the Queensferry Crossing while police remain at the scene. Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, it said: "Users of the Forth Road Bridge are advised to use the Queensferry Crossing at this time due to a police incident" West Lothian Council also warned the public that the bridge is closed to anyone travelling "by bus, taxi, motorcycle or by foot". The local authority posted on Facebook: "For anyone who is planning on travelling over the Forth Road Bridge today by bus, taxi, motorcycle or by foot, the Forth Road Bridge is closed due to a protest reported to police around 1.05pm on Friday, 25 July."
