Ravens 2-Time MVP QB Ranked Best in NFL's Top 100
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has received many accolades since taking over under center in 2018.
Two league MVPs, three First-Team All-Pros, four Pro Bowls, an NFL touchdowns leader and passer rating leader are just a few of his accomplishments in the NFL to go along with his 2016 Heisman Trophy win.
Most recently, Jackson appeared at the top of Pro Football & Sports Network's top 100 players in the NFL ahead of the 2025 season.
No. 1Lamar Jackson | QB | Baltimore Ravens
"Despite not winning his third NFL MVP, Jackson's 2024 campaign solidified his place atop PFSN's Top 100. Jackson's command of the Ravens' offense was unmatched, leading the league with a staggering 45 passing touchdowns (including the playoffs) and finishing fifth in passing yards with 4,601," PFSN wrote. "Jackson's growth as a passer stood out, as he ranked first in yards per attempt (8.8) and posted a league-best EPA per dropback of +0.30. He also finished first in our QB+ metric and had a very solid case to be considered the league's MVP. Jackson's season was a masterclass in modern dual-threat quarterbacking. He threw just four interceptions and earned a career-high passer rating of 119.6. His 9.3 average depth of target (fourth in NFL) highlights his willingness to push the ball downfield and challenge defenses vertically, even without elite talent supporting him.
"His 915 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns added another layer to his dominance, making him the engine of the Ravens' offense. The only question that remains is whether he and the Ravens can shake off their postseason woes, but that doesn't mean he's not as good as it gets."
Jackson joins several teammates on the list in Marlon Humphrey at No. 7, Derrick Henry at No. 24, Kyle Hamilton at No. 35, Roquan Smith at No. 49 and Ndamdi Madubuike at No. 60.

NFL analyst deems Browns QB incapable of playing in NFL
NFL analyst deems Browns QB incapable of playing in NFL originally appeared on The Sporting News The Cleveland Browns are roughly two weeks into training camp, and their quarterback competition has been under a microscope throughout the entirety of that time. And while the four-man battle continues, it appears that at least one quarterback is losing any sort of chance to win that battle. Dillon Gabriel has struggled over the last several days. He went a staggering 3-of-14 in team drills on Friday, and it doesn't look like things are getting better - so much so that Daryl Ruiter doesn't think Gabriel is capable of playing in the NFL. 'He's not an NFL quarterback. Not right now," Ruiter said on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland. "He's rolling out and can't hit guys wide open. At times, he's not that good in the warmup periods.' Should this be the case, then it appears the quarterback battle is more or less a three-person race at most. With Pickett dealing with a hamstring injury, Joe Flacco and Shedeur Sanders look like the top two candidates to win the job. However, Sanders was dealing with an arm injury that kept him out of team drills late last week, so Flacco looks like the clear leader in the clubhouse to be the Week 1 starter. Buccaneers earn low spot in latest rankings from ESPN ahead of 2025 season
The NFL and the coaches that have the privilege to lead one of the 32 teams in the league are in a unique spot. They get to build their staff, top to bottom, in hopes they can execute the dream outcome they have in winning a Super Bowl. Of course, every year, there are some coaches being fired, assistants move around, while others get promoted and have their chance to lead a team. All of these moving pieces can make things hard to track and grade, but ESPN's Benjamin Solak did it. He looked at all 32 teams and their staff and ranked them. Bucs fans won't be happy to know he ranked them 26th. He explains his rankings of the Bucs staff, writing, "Come with me to a magical land in which Liam Coen actually stayed as the Bucs' OC this season (too soon, Bucs fans?) They'd probably be 12th or 13th on this list -- maybe even higher. . .But it isn't, so those little margins from the head coach glare all the more. I'm very excited to see what Grizzard, who has the vibe of a whiz kid, does at the helm. . .Color me intrigued. But even if Grizzard has the goods, it will be difficult to replicate just how prolific the Buccaneers' offense was last season. Tampa needs more from Bowles' in-game decision-making, and he needs more from his defense. . ." While keeping Liam Coen remains a touchy subject, the team's excitement surrounding Josh Grizzard should keep readers and fans optimistic. As for Todd Bowles, the team has faith in him after he received a contract extension this offseason, but he still needs to do more than just win division titles. A playoff run into the divisional round or an NFC championship game would also work.
