Hong Kong – Abdulsalam al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), met John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation between Oman and Hong Kong.
The meeting reviewed opportunities to enhance bilateral partnership, with both sides expressing interest in deepening engagement across priority sectors.
Murshidi praised the strong ties between Oman and Hong Kong, while stressing the importance of continued exchange of visits and expanded cooperation to serve mutual interests.
Lee highlighted Oman's strategic direction under Vision 2040, noting its alignment with China's Belt and Road Initiative. He added that Hong Kong, as a leading global financial and trade hub, offers an attractive environment for investment in areas such as renewable energy and advanced technologies.
The meeting was attended by H E Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador at Foreign Ministry.
