Kyline Alcantara turns emotional as she shares how Barbie Forteza helped her cope with heartbreak
In "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, the Sparkle star shared that she learned on her family, God, and friend and "Beauty Empire" co-star Barbie, after her last relationship.
"Si Barbie talaga, iba po talaga siya. Maiiyak ako, kasi iba po talaga si Barbie. She just gave me my confidence back, she made me realize na, 'Ikaw muna mare,'" she said, tearing up.
According to Kyline, she truly means it when she says she loves Barbie because their relationship right now is more than just being coworkers. She also agreed with Tito Boy that they are like sisters.
She added that Barbie would remind her to focus on herself and prioritize herself, and make sure she ate properly.
Kyline recalled a time when Barbie went over to her house so they could eat together because she noticed Kyline had been skipping meals.
"May one time po tawag siya sa 'kin, 'O mare, papunta na 'ko ha, kakain tayo. 'Di ka kasi kumakain, kain tayo' ganiyan. Sabi ko, 'Ha, hindi pa nakaayos 'yung bahay namin, teka lang madumi pa.' Sabi niya, 'Wala akong pakielam, gusto lang kitang makita kumain, pupunta ako diyan, usap tayo,'" she said.
"Dun ko na-prove na iba talaga si madame Barbie. That's why I love her, 'yan ang kaibigan talaga, Tito Boy. She has this special place in my heart," she added.
In her GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired in "24 Oras" Thursday, Kyline shared that her heart is "good, it's better now with the help of everyone around me."
She also reassured others not to worry about her.
Kyline and Barbie star together in "Beauty Empire" with Ruffa Gutierrez. It airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Network. It is also available on Viu.
