‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse' Is Delayed Again, but Only for a Bit

Gizmodo18-07-2025
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been delayed yet again, only this time, it's less of a problem and more of a recalibration. The third and final film in the Oscar-winning animated trilogy was originally supposed to be out in early 2024 but was then delayed all the way to June 4, 2027. Now, Sony has tweaked that further and moved the film back three more weeks to June 25, 2027.
The reason for this move isn't because production needs more time, however. Apparently it has more to do with just locking in a better release date after kids are out of school for the summer. Plus, producer and writer Christopher Miller noted on X that it's a 'better IMAX window,' which, indeed, it is. June 4 was just one week after Star Wars: Starfighter and one week before How to Train Your Dragon 2. Now, Spider-Verse has nothing significant bumping up against it for the rest of the summer. That'll change, but it's good to plant the flag.
The third film will reportedly pick up right where the second one left off, with our hero Miles Morales stuck in an alternate dimension with a version of himself who turned into the Prowler. Across the multiverse, Gwen Stacy and several of Miles' friends begin a journey to find and save him, hoping to not destroy the entire universe in the process.
And while, yes, it's a bummer to have to wait multiple years to see the final piece of the puzzle, plus three extra weeks, no one will remember that decades from now if the third film sticks the landing of this trilogy like we all hope it will. It's already, maybe, the greatest superhero one-two in the history of movies. If Beyond the Spider-Verse brings it home in a way this team is capable of? Oh man. We'll be talking about these movies until the day we die. If we aren't already.
Plus, we should have at least one Spider-Man movie to hold us over in the meantime. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, is still scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. Expect it in theaters, not on June 4, but on June 25, 2027.

CBS Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew

CBS Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew originally appeared on The Spun. The NFL on CBS will look a bit different this upcoming season. The network has decided to move on from a three-time Pro Bowler. Last week, CBS unveiled its game announcers for the 2025 regular season. As you'd expect, the ton names like Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Ian Eagle will remain key contributors for the network. Former NFL running back Tiki Barber, however, was left off this list from CBS. He has been a game analyst for CBS since 2019, working alongside Andrew Catalon, Matt Ryan and a few other broadcasters. Though we're not entirely sure why, CBS has replaced Barber with Charles Davis. Here's the 2025 broadcast roster for CBS: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt and Evan Washburn Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and Melanie Collins Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, Jason McCourty and AJ Ross Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta and Aditi Kinkhabwala Even though Barber won't be part of a CBS crew this NFL season, he'll keep himself busy on Sundays. He'll team up with John Schmeelk for gameday broadcasts. "I am really excited to be joining the Giants gameday radio broadcast team on WFAN. This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally," Barber said. "The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate." The former New York Giants running back will also continue hosting "Evan & Tiki" every weekday on WFAN Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew first appeared on The Spun on Aug 3, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Aug 3, 2025, where it first appeared.

Disney World gift shop erupts in chaos as guests fight in viral video

The clip is just 8 seconds long, but shows what happens when Disney adults lash out. A cashier looked stunned as parkgoers screamed and swatted at each other inside the World of Disney store at Disney Springs. A Walt Disney World gift shop erupted into chaos recently when a fight between guests broke out — and the entire scene was caught on video, which has since gone viral. The 8-second clip, originally shared by TikTok user @bbrookee20, has spread widely for capturing the tense altercation, which reportedly took place inside the World of Disney store at Disney Springs. The video opens mid-drama: A man in a black t-shirt and off-white baseball cap is being pulled away as he shouts 'Enough!' while a woman in a black top yells back, 'Let go of me!' As the situation escalates, three other people try to intervene, grabbing the man's shirt and pulling him away from the woman, who swats an arm toward him while retreating. Behind the counter, a Disney cast member appears frozen in place — arms raised, eyes darting nervously between the quarreling guests. The cashier's stunned reaction quickly became a focal point of the comments section. 'These are my coworkers, oh my god,' one commenter wrote. 'This is, unfortunately, not the first fight we've had in World of Disney.' Another TikTok user quipped, 'That girl is like 'I'm just trying to sell these circus peanuts and other snacks,'' referring to the candy and goods visible on-screen. Disney has not issued a public statement in response to the video, and the original poster didn't specify the store location — but based on the interior, social media users quickly identified it as World of Disney, the largest merchandise location in Disney Springs. As one viewer summed up in the comments of the latest video: 'Disney adults are wild. The fireworks aren't even the most explosive part of the night anymore.' This viral gift shop brawl isn't just an unfortunate one-off. It's part of a broader pattern of behavioral issues that can escalate quickly — and even get you kicked out of the park entirely. Fighting can get you kicked out of a Disney park, sure. But that's only one of the most obvious ways to get booted: Some guests have also been removed for violating the dress code (including one woman whose top got her flagged), using flash photography on dark rides, or vaping in the parks, which is strictly prohibited. Others were kicked out for line-cutting, wearing suggestive shirts, or even flying drones near park property. Disney's rules are designed to keep the experience safe and family-friendly, but many visitors don't realize how seriously they're enforced. As tickets and travel costs climb, it's more important than ever to know the dos and don'ts — or risk a very expensive early exit. Solve the daily Crossword
