What is Mahavatar Narsimha?
Mahavatar Narsimha is based on the story of Narsimha, the fourth avatara of the Hindu god Vishnu, taking place in the Satya Yuga. Part-man and part-lion is known in Vaishnavism for ending religious persecution and calamity on earth, restoring dharma in the world.
In a world set where demigods and demons exist, an asura king, Hiranyakashyap, seeks to avenge his brother, who was slain by Vishnu. Being granted the boon of immense strength by Lord Brahma, the king becomes an overlord of all three worlds, ruling as a tyrant.
However, his five-year-old son Prahlad is the complete opposite of what he stood for, signaling a virtue of faith towards Lord Vishnu. When Hiranyakashyap plans to hurt his own son, the Hindu god saves him multiple times.
In a moment when all hope seems lost, Lord Vishnu takes up the avatar of Narsimha, putting an end to the asura king's violence, restoring balance in the world.
The epic mythological animated movie is directed by Ashwin Kumar, with Mahavatar Narsimha touted to be the first installment in the cinematic universe.
In the following years, up until 2037, several movies from the interconnected universe are expected to hit the big screens. This includes ventures like Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki in two parts (2035 and 2037).
With an ensemble voice cast behind the film, Mahavatar Narsimha had music composed by Sam CS.

Vivek Agnihotri breaks silence on multiple FIRs filed against The Bengal Files: 'They are challenging our guts, courage'

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is facing mounting legal heat ahead of the release of his upcoming film 'The Bengal Files'. In a video statement, Agnihotri revealed that multiple FIRs have been filed against him and the film by members of the ruling party in West Bengal. Despite the pressure, he remains defiant and plans to launch the trailer in the state itself. 'The ruling party of West Bengal and their members have been filing so many FIRs against us in different cities. That is their strategy. I was quiet and did not share this information with anyone because we were taking the legal course. I have great faith in Indian judiciaries, especially Calcutta High Court,' he said. 'The Calcutta High Court has given us a stay on all these FIRs, but as the case was being heard in the High Court, at the same time, they filed more FIRs. The ruling party wants to trap us with so many legal hassles and battles so that we cannot focus on the promotion of the film. This strategy has been deployed by them for a very long time.' Agnihotri also detailed the challenges of making the film. 'I must tell you it's one of the most defining and important films. It uncovers many dark chapters of our history.' He added, 'I have finished the film. It has taken a lot from us. We have put in whatever we had to make this very difficult film. We were not allowed to shoot in Bengal. We had to shoot the entire film in Bombay. Now, with our limited resource, we want this film to reach every citizen of India.' He concluded the video by saying, 'This is people's film. It is your film. I want you to support us. I want you to expose all those agencies and powers who do not want this film to come out. They are challenging our guts and courage. They want to see how we are going to fight. We are alone while they have the state power. But I have taken this challenge and I am going to release the trailer of the film in West Bengal. Nobody can silence me because nobody can silence the truth.' The Bengal Files, originally titled 'The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter', is an upcoming Hindi-language film directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It serves as the third and final instalment in Agnihotri's 'Files Trilogy' on modern Indian history, following 'The Tashkent Files' (2019) and 'The Kashmir Files' (2022). The film focuses on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings. The project is set to be released in two parts. The first instalment, titled 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life', is slated to hit theatres on September 5, 2025, coinciding with Teachers' Day in India. Set against the backdrop of the 1940s, the film delves into the violence that engulfed undivided Bengal, spotlighting pivotal events such as Direct Action Day in 1946 and the Noakhali riots.

Bollywood isn't short of stars with two marriages, but Dharmendra's story still stands apart. From being the original He-Man of Indian cinema to having a family that's almost entirely tied to the industry, his personal life has always grabbed attention. The actor married Prakash Kaur in 1954 when he was just 19. At the time, films were still a distant dream for him. From this marriage, he had four children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajita, and Vijeta. While Sunny and Bobby followed in his cinematic footsteps, Ajita and Vijeta chose a private life away from the cameras. What sparked the controversy around his second marriage? In 1980, Dharmendra married Hema Malini, already a major star and famously known as Bollywood's Dream Girl. But what turned the spotlight extra harshly was that he never divorced his first wife. This caused a public stir, and the media followed their story for years. From his marriage to Hema, Dharmendra had two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Esha briefly entered Bollywood, while Ahana chose to settle abroad post-marriage. In 2024, Esha made headlines for parting ways with her husband Bharat Takhtani. They have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Who all are part of the Deol family today? Dharmendra's elder son, Sunny Deol, married Pooja Deol in 1984. Their sons, Karan and Rajveer Deo, have both made their acting debuts. His younger son, Bobby Deol, married Tanya Deol in 1996. They have two sons, Aryaman and Dharam Deol. From Prakash Kaur's side, her daughter Ajita married Kiran Chaudhary, and they have two daughters, Nikita and Priyanka. Her other daughter, Vijeta, married Vivek Gill and has two children, Prerna and Sahil. As for Hema's second daughter, Ahana, she married businessman Vaibhav Vohra in 2014. They have a daughter and a son and live away from the public eye.

Made for Rs 45 crore, earned just Rs 60,000, Bollywood's biggest flop sold only 500 tickets, actors are..., movie name is..

Not every big-budget movie gets a grand fate. In 2023, a film was quietly released and even more quietly forgotten. Titled The Lady Killer, the film starred Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. Despite a Rs 45 crore budget and the face value of known actors, it earned only Rs 60,000, yes, you read that right. How did a Rs 45 crore project slip through the cracks? This crime thriller was directed by Ajay Bahl, who also co-wrote the story with Pawan Sony and Mayank Tewari. But the plot didn't strike a chord with viewers, and the film disappeared almost as soon as it arrived. The buzz was so low that many didn't even know the film had hit theatres. What went so wrong? Reports claim the film sold only 293 tickets on Day 1. Over the next few screenings, it barely touched the 500 mark. Eventually, theatres pulled it off their listings, and the film slipped into obscurity. That makes The Lady Killer one of the biggest commercial flops in the history of Indian cinema. Wasn't the cast enough to pull audiences in? Arjun Kapoor, son of producer Boney Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar are both household names. But even their star presence couldn't save the film. Industry insiders suggest the weak screenplay and lack of promotion were its undoing. Audiences couldn't connect, or simply didn't care. How much did it recover from its budget? Just 0.0001% of what was invested. A loss so massive, it's now almost a legend. The movie, ironically titled The Lady Killer, ended up killing itself at the box office. The film holds an unofficial title, Bollywood's biggest financial disaster. A reminder that no matter the budget, no matter the faces on the poster, content is still king. Or in this case, killer.
