
TTD mulls ‘Sadgamaya' to inculcate ethical values among students
Tirupati: With an aim to inculcate ethical values taught by Hindu Sanatana Dharma among the students who are the future pillars of the nation, the TTD has mulled an innovative programme, Sadgamaya - a path towards righteousness which will be implemented soon.
In connection with this, a review meeting was held by TTD JEO Veerabrahmam at the Conference Hall of TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Monday.
TTD JEO Veerabrahmam instructed the concerned that the programme should be developed in such a way that it should enhance the spirit of tolerance, empathy, honesty, compassion, confidence, self-discipline among the students. He also directed that the training schedule should include group activities, community service and many more.
Earlier, the HDPP secretary Sriram Raghunath explained to the JEO the intention behind the programme through a power point presentation stating that the progamme aims at laying a strong moral foundation among the students, in their character development, fostering social and emotional skills, love-affection-gratitude towards parents and teachers, compassion, integrity and thereby making the students the true and responsible citizens of the country.
He said the programme will commence with the students of TTD schools initially.
All Projects Special Officer Raja Gopal, SE Manoharam, DEO Venkata Sunil, VGO Sada lakshmi, CMO Dr Narmada, Additional HO Dr Sunil, DE (Electrical) Saraswati, OSD SVBC Padmavati and other officers were also present.

NBA team inspects Padmavathi Women's Polytechnic College
Tirupati: An inspection was conducted on Friday by representatives of the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) at the TTD-run Sri Padmavathi Women's Polytechnic College. As a part of the NBA renewal process, an expert team from New Delhi visited the college and reviewed the laboratory, faculty, staff details, records and other infrastructure facilities. The team also gathered feedback from students regarding teaching quality, lab facilities, library and other academic aspects. Previously, the college had received NBA accreditation for a period of three years. As the validity period is getting completed, this inspection was carried out by the NBA officials. Dr M Padmavathamma, the Principal of the college, expressed her gratitude to the TTD management, TTD Education Department officials, and the college team for their cooperation during the inspection.

Nandalur, Tallapaka temples Brahmotsavams' posters unveiled
Tirumala: TTD Chairman BR Naidu, along with Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, unveiled the posters of annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Soumyanatha Swamy temple in Nandalur and Sri Chennakesava Swamy and Sri Siddheswara Swamy temples in Tallapaka, at his camp office in Tirumala on Thursday. Brahmotsavams of Sri Soumyanatha Swamy will be conducted in Nandalur from July 4 to 13 and Brahmotsavams of Sri Chennakesava Swamy and Sri Siddheswara Swamy will be observed in Tallapaka from July 5 to 15.

All set for Int'l Yoga Day at TTD
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams JEO V Veerabrahmam said that the temple management has completed all the arrangements for the International Yoga Day, scheduled to be held globally on June 21. The event will take place at 6.30 AM on Saturday at the Parade Grounds located within the TTD Administrative Building premises in Tirupati. Under the supervision of senior TTD officials, special arrangements have been made to accommodate around 1,500 participants practicing yoga. TTD employees, staff, and students from TTD educational institutions are expected to participate in the event. Veerabrahmam instructed officials to ensure the provision of breakfast and drinking water to all participants at the venue.
