TTD Chairman participates in Varahi Navaratri fete at Sri Shakti Peetham

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Trust Board Chairman B.R. Naidu prayed at the famed Sri Shakti Peetham situated at Rayalacheruvu, near Tirupati, and took part in the Varahi Navaratri festivities on Sunday. The Peetham is known for the revered shrine of Shvetha Varahi Ammavari shrine, which attracts the devout from across the country. Mr. Naidu also offered prayers to the unique deities of Sri Marakata Shakti Kali Devi and Sri Marakata Siddeshwara Swamy at the Peetham. Calling on the Peetham's founder Sri Siddeswarananda Bharathi Mahaswami and the monk Sri Ramyananda Bharathi Swamini at the Peetham premises later, he enquired about the ongoing activities of Sri Shakti Peetham , which has, of late, become a major attraction for the devotees visiting Tirupati. The TTD Chairman assured to extend all support on behalf of the Devasthanams management to the Sri Sakthi Peetham as part of propagating the Hindu Sanatana Dharma. TTD's board member M. Shantaram, Chief Public Relations Officer T. Ravi and the Peetham's representative Srikanth were present.

TTD to organise ‘Srinivasa Kalyanotsavams' in eight cities across U.S.A.

As part of its initiative to spread the glory of Lord Venkateswara globally, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to organise 'Srinivasa Kalyanotsavams' in eight major cities across the United States of America (USA). The events, scheduled from July 5 to September 1, aim to cater to the spiritual needs of Indians as well as the Telugus residing in the U.S.. According to the itinerary, the Kalyanotsavams will be held in Tampa, Florida (July 5), North Carolina (July 12) New Jersey (July 19) St. Louis, Missouri (July 26), Chicago, Illinois (August 2) Seattle, Washington (August 16), Atlanta, Georgia (August 23), and finally in Dallas, Texas, on September 1. The TTD has partnered with the North America Telugu Society (NATS) and North Texas Hindu Society (NTHS) to make the events a grand success. TTD has also appointed Sridhar Gottipati as the coordinator for conducting the events. The initiative is to reinforce the State government's efforts to promote Hindu Sanatana Dharma across the planet, the TTD said.

Tirupati: Practicing Yoga every day not only improves the mental fitness but also brings physical stability in body, asserted the TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary. Following the clarion call given by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and under directives of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu, the International Yoga Day was organised by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at its Parade Grounds behind the TTD administration building in Tirupati on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Yoga Day is being observed across 190 countries worldwide. He said that with yoga, spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and other factors can be kept under control. TTD employees and students participated in this fete. Meanwhile, the Yoga fete began with 1500 participants in the Parade Grounds after formally offering prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Later, the Annamacharya Project Special Officer Dr Medasani Mohan elucidated the importance of Yoga in Hindu Sanatana Dharma. An hour-long Yoga Asanas and Pranayama were carried out in a systematic manner as instructed by the Yoga instructors from TTD and also from the ISHA Foundation. Later the officials gave away participant certificates to the students. TTD has arranged 4 LED screens, yoga mats, drinking water bottles, breakfast and t-shirts for the event. TTD board members Panabaka Lakshmi, G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, JEO Veerabraham, CVSO Murali Krishna, HDPP Secretary Sriram Raghunath, DEO Venkata Sunilu, and many other officers, students, Srivari Sevaks were also present.

TTD mulls ‘Sadgamaya' to inculcate ethical values among students

Tirupati: With an aim to inculcate ethical values taught by Hindu Sanatana Dharma among the students who are the future pillars of the nation, the TTD has mulled an innovative programme, Sadgamaya - a path towards righteousness which will be implemented soon. In connection with this, a review meeting was held by TTD JEO Veerabrahmam at the Conference Hall of TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Monday. TTD JEO Veerabrahmam instructed the concerned that the programme should be developed in such a way that it should enhance the spirit of tolerance, empathy, honesty, compassion, confidence, self-discipline among the students. He also directed that the training schedule should include group activities, community service and many more. Earlier, the HDPP secretary Sriram Raghunath explained to the JEO the intention behind the programme through a power point presentation stating that the progamme aims at laying a strong moral foundation among the students, in their character development, fostering social and emotional skills, love-affection-gratitude towards parents and teachers, compassion, integrity and thereby making the students the true and responsible citizens of the country. He said the programme will commence with the students of TTD schools initially. All Projects Special Officer Raja Gopal, SE Manoharam, DEO Venkata Sunil, VGO Sada lakshmi, CMO Dr Narmada, Additional HO Dr Sunil, DE (Electrical) Saraswati, OSD SVBC Padmavati and other officers were also present.

TTD to launch ‘Sadgamaya' drive to instil ethical values in students

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is planning to introduce 'Sadgamaya' programme to inculcate ethical values as enshrined in Hindu Sanatana Dharma in the students. The programme, which is all set to be implemented soon, is meant to introduce students to the path of righteousness. At a review meeting held here on Monday, Joint Executive Officer V. Veerabrahmam instructed the officials to develop the programme to enhance the spirit of tolerance, empathy, honesty, compassion, confidence, self-discipline among students. Mr. Veerabrahmam also wanted the training schedule to include group activities, community service etc. Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) secretary Sriram Raghunath said that the programme intends to lay a strong moral foundation for the students, by introducing character development, fostering social and emotional skills, love-affection-gratitude towards parents and teachers, compassion and integrity, thus making them responsible citizens. Special Officer (All Projects) Raja Gopal, Superintending Engineer Manoharam, Devasthanam Educational Officer Venkata Sunil, Vigilance Guard Officer Sada Lakshmi and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Narmada took part in the meeting.
