MUMBAI: International Sufi Caravan head Mufti Manzur Ziyaee has welcomed India's attack and dismantling of terror infrastructure in POK and Pakistan."We salute Indian armed forces and the way the precision attacks were carried out on places of terror outfits in POK and Pakistan. The ghastly murder of 26 innocent tourists in Pahalgam has been avenged and we are proud of our armed forces," said Ziyaee.He landed the action by India's armed forces which hit 9 terror targets and destroyed their infrastructure within POk and Pakistan.In a statement, Ziyaee also slammed Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its statement on India-Pakistan tension."The OIC's statement is immature and reels of its misunderstanding about the complex India-Pakistan relations. Instead of pulling up Pakistan for aiding and abetting terror activities in India, the OIC has spoken Pakistan's language," said Ziyaee.In a statement in New York, OIC said it expressed deep concern over deteriorating security environment in South Asia and called India's allegations against Pak's involvement in enacting terror activities in India "unfounded.""This is very careless and irresponsible statement by OIC. They should understand how Pakistan-trained terrorists have hit civilians in Indian territories and any clean chit to them by OIC will encourage such terror groups," said Ziyaee.

We see our development also as our responsibility towards others, and our priority will always be the Global South..." PM Modi reiterated the need to stand against terrorism. 'We must stand united to deny terrorism any shelter or space.' His statement comes months after the deadly Pahlagam terror attack on April 22, 2025, which claimed 26 lives. In a speech to Trinidad and Tobago's parliament, PM Modi emphasises the importance of women and underscores their significant contributions to India's development in diverse fields, reinforcing the cultural respect for women in India. PM Modi said, 'I'm delighted to see so many women members in this house. Respect for women is deeply rooted in Indian culture. PM receives Trinidad and Tobago's highest honour, a first for any foreign leader
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Friday conferred with The Order of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, the highest civilian award of Tinidad & Tobago during his visit to the country."Honoured to be conferred with 'The Order of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago'. I accept it on behalf of 140 crore Indians," said PM Modi on receiving the Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago welcomed Prime Minister Modi at the Piarco International Airport along with her entire cabinet, clad in traditional Indian attire. The tiny island nation has a population of just 13 lakh, even less than Goa. 45 per cent of them are of Indian origin, mostly from Bhojpuri-speaking districts in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Odia diaspora in Ghana extends warm welcome to Modi

The community, known for its rich traditions, played a significant role in welcoming the Prime Minister during his two-day stay in the West African nation. Upon his arrival at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on July 2, Modi was greeted with a grand reception by the Indian diaspora. The atmosphere was alive with chants of "Hare Krishna", melodious mantras, and a spirited chorus of "Jai Ho", reflecting India's cultural unity and diversity. A standout moment of the welcome ceremony was a captivating Bharatanatyam performance by three young girls, including Tapaswinee Panda from Odisha. On July 3, the second day of his visit, members of Utkal Ghana Association (UGA), led by president Deepak Kumar Das and general secretary Saroj Kumar Patnaik, had the opportunity to meet Modi. During the interaction, the team shared insights into their cultural activities, particularly highlighting their annual Rath Yatra celebrations in Ghana, which have been gaining increasing participation. UGA president said he informed the PM about the Shree Jagannath Temple established by the Odia community in Accra two years ago. "The conversation took a personal turn when the Prime Minister fondly inquired about Mahaprabhu's khichdi, his favourite offering. UGA general secretary told him that prasad is available daily at the temple," he said. Also present during the interaction were joint secretary of UGA Tapan Panda and vice-president Bidya Sagar Subudhi.
