Augsburg sell Dion Drena Beljo to Zagreb
Beljo departs German football having scored only five goals in 45 competitive appearances for the Fuggerstädter. Beljo joined Augsburg on a €3m deal from NK Osijek in the January 2023 transfer window. All five of his top flight goals came under previous FCA head coach Enrico Maaßen that spring and earlier the following year.
After taking over for Maaßen in the autumn of 2023, Jess Thorup had no use for Beljo and he was loaned out to Rapid Vienna in the Austrian Bundesliga last year. A decent season on loan in the Austrian capital (16 goals across all competitions) did actually lead to new FCA head coach Sandro Wagner to attempt and convince Beljo to remain.
'After his loan spell at Rapid Vienna, we laid out an FCA future for Dion at the start of pre-season and held several talks with him,' Augsburg managing director Michael Ströll noted in a club statement. 'He nevertheless expressed his desire to return to his home country. After constructive talks with Zagreb, we were able to find a solution that suits all parties and have acceded to his transfer request.'
'I would like to thank those responsible at FCA for making my move to Zagreb possible,' the player himself added. 'A new chapter is beginning for me at Dinamo Zagreb and I am delighted to be back home.'

Fabrizio Romano Says PSG Confident in Signing Two Key Targets Amid Tottenham, Aston Villa Interest
PSG could add two players this month if negotiations go their way, considering both want to move to the French capital. The Parisians will reportedly have a new No. 1 goalkeeper and bolster their backline with another center-back. L'Équipe recently reported that PSG have stepped up their efforts to sign Lucas Chevalier, who is under contract through 2027. Talks over a five-year deal began, and Chevalier has already reached a broad agreement on personal terms. The Parisians are now preparing to open formal negotiations with Lille, with only minor details left to sort out. Moreover, the expected fee is at least €40 million, a price PSG have already discussed internally and are ready to meet. Meanwhile, journalist Ben Jacobs reported Friday that PSG have resumed talks to sign Bournemouth defender Illia Zabarnyi, who's already agreed to a five-year contract and is now waiting on the clubs to work out a deal—despite interest from Tottenham. Jacobs also noted that if the move happens, the final fee is expected to be closer to Bournemouth's €70 million asking price than the €60 million figure previously mentioned. That said, there's still some negotiating left before the deal is completed. PSG could be landing two players soonTransfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG are confident they can complete deals for Zabarnyi and Chevalier in the next days. Zabarnyi's move has been in the final stages since Thursday, while PSG are still discussing add-ons with Lille for Chevalier. Much like Zabarnyi, Chevalier also drew interest from a Premier League club. ESPN recently reported that Aston Villa have reached out to LOSC Lille about a potential move for Chevalier. The Frenchman is considered a possible replacement for Emiliano Martínez, who is exploring a move away from the club. Nonetheless, it seems as though Aston Villa will be missing out.

United striker enjoying connection forming with winger
TOM Bradshaw is enjoying the on-pitch connection he is forming with Siriki Dembele. The Oxford United duo linked up neatly to open the scoring in Tuesday night's pre-season draw at home against CD Leganes. Dembele won back possession down the left-hand side and then threaded a pass into the channel of the penalty area, allowing Bradshaw to run onto it and finish inside the near post. READ ALSO: Summer signings impress, wingers catch eye & injuries testing depth Bradshaw said: 'I think our strengths complement each other. The way Dems likes to get into pockets and really try and commit defences, and run at them, and that's perfect for me because I love playing off shoulders. 'I think Dems is very good at committing defenders and doing little sliding balls. I spoke about it to him all week. 'As soon as I drop my shoulder, he can slide me in, and it makes it really hard for the defence to either cut it out or tackle me, or he can cut inside and get a shot off. 'I think it's starting to build those bonds that I didn't necessarily get last season through injuries and stuff like that. It's been a real positive pre-season for me and hopefully I can keep going.' Dembele on the left-hand side was a threat for United against Los Pepineros, while Stan Mills was a willing crosser from the right wing. Bradshaw said: 'Teams need balance. Stan's strengths are final balls, hugging the touchline, stretching the defence, and Dems likes to cut inside. You need that balance in a team and I think they both did really well.'
