Momoa shared in the Instagram Reel's caption that he hadn't shaved in six years. He added, 'Here we are again.' Momoa later even shared his reaction to the new look. After shaving half of the beard, the 'Aquaman' star exclaimed, 'Oh man,' and laughed it off. He then continued to clear the rest. When he looked at his clean-shaven face, Momoa reacted, 'God damnit, I hate it!' In the video, the 'Game of Thrones' actor also shared that he was undergoing the transformation to deliver an important message. Momoa wrote, 'I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic.'
The actor continued, 'Now, we're taking it even further, partnering with our team at @Getboomerangwater.' Momoa shared that this was to 'bring in a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite.' He then explained what it meant, writing, 'Even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminum bottles get reused over and over.' Momoa added, 'This is the future, and we're starting in Hawai'i.'
Momoa emphasized the message, 'Let's get rid of single-use plastic,' and further stated, 'For our children and for our planet.' Meanwhile, fans took to the video's comments section to share their reaction to his new look.
