He has scored 155 of Red Bull's 162 points. Ahead of Sunday's race in Silverstone, Verstappen said he'd prefer to spend the rest of his F1 career with Red Bull. But he wouldn't comment when asked if he'll remain with the team for 2026 or if he's had contact with Mercedes. 'I always said to the team it would be ideal, and I think they think the same way, to finish off my career in Formula 1 with one team,' Verstappen told broadcasters Thursday. Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha's future in Beantown is once again uncertain, after he was linked to a move earlier in the offseason. Advertisement According to The Fourth Period, which listed Zacha as the 17th most-valuable player reportedly available for trade, the Bruins have resumed trade discussions involving the forward. 'The Bruins explored the trade market on Zacha during the season and there is belief out there that Boston is looking, again, at moving him,' TFP reported. 'His 10-team no-trade list turns to an eight-team list July 1, so he does have some say in where he ends up, if dealt. He has two years remaining on his contract.' Zacha, 28, is under contract for two more seasons as part of his four-year, $19 million contract. He's signed through the 2026–27 season at a $4.75 million cap hit. Advertisement The veteran winger, who can operate as a center, is one of Boston's more valuable forward assets and a member of the Bruins' second forward line. It's fair to assume that trading for him would likely require a meaningful return. The Bruins have been busy adding players this offseason, and with their roster shifting under new head coach Marco Sturm, Zacha's place is no longer guaranteed. Beckham Dempsey Commits To Colorado College
Dave Schwarz, dschwarz@ Boston Jr. Rangers goaltender Beckham Dempsey has committed to Colorado College, it was announced earlier this week. A product of Wayne, Ill., Dempsey spent this past season suiting up in the NCDC with the Jr. Rangers as well as with the NAHL's Minnesota Mallards. In one NAHL appearance, Dempsey did not collect a win or a loss but did not let in a shot. With Boston, he went 2-10-1 along with a 4.15 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage in 14 games. Advertisement Having made the jump to the junior level in 2023, Dempsey spent the majority of his time in the NCDC, suiting up for the Pueblo Bulls and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights alongside his time with the Jr. Rangers. In a total of 23 regular season games, he went 4-14-1 while putting up a 3.82 GAA and a .904 SP. With Dempsey off to join the Tigers, he may find it difficult to get playing time during his freshman season but did look solid in his time in the NCDC this year. Dempsey has good athleticism and puck tracking abilities, and if he is called upon this year, Colorado College can have confidence in him to step up.
