Asked how she felt about the scrutiny, Bhumi responded. 'We live in a time where people should make their own choices,' she said. 'I am nobody to have any kind of judgment on what people want to do. I also feel that this is being discussed way too much.' Her words reflect a sentiment of acceptance, steering the conversation away from criticism and toward individual agency.
Fitness, ghee, and the power of balance
Bhumi also shared her approach to fitness and wellness, a topic she remains passionate about.
'It is my way of being,' she said simply. This emphasizes that health is a core part of her lifestyle.
While many might fear fats, Bhumi revealed her diet includes a generous helping of ghee. 'People get very scared of fat but I have it in my diet. The only difference is, I do not cook in ghee; I consume it raw. Put it on your rotis or idlis — it is very beneficial for your health,' she explained. The actress was in the capital for a Skechers event, where the community spirit was strong: 'People in Delhi have come together and run one thousand kilometres collectively.
Skechers, in return, is going to give 100 pairs of shoes to The Kutumb Foundation. It is so lovely,' she added.

After playing the fiercely independent Sophia in romantic dramedy 'The Royals', Bhumi is set for a tonal shift with 'Daldal', a gritty web series where she plays a police officer.

Actors Shefali Shah and Bhumi Pednekar recently opened up about pay differences in the entertainment industry, and how OTT is slowly changing things for women. I think it's between a star and actor. So you could do a film and play the lead. If there is a star opposite you, you will never ever get paid that kind of money. But on OTT, it does kind of change. I don't really think it's about a man or a woman per se." Bhumi Pednekar agreed with this and spoke about her own experiences in the industry. She said, "I have my fair share of experience. Obviously, when there is somebody who has a lot of experience who is working with you, then this conversation is redundant. So if you are working with somebody who has achieved credibility like yours, who has done similar work like you, then there is a parity in that phase which is true. However, my experience with my first outing has been different. We were paid for the value that we had."Both actors admitted that OTT is giving better chances to women to play strong and meaningful roles. They also believed that the digital sphere is also giving them the respect they didn't always get in the the work front, Shefali Shah was last seen in 'Three of Us', starring alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Swanand Kirkire. The much-awaited first episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 dropped on July 29, 2025. Ronit Roy, who portrayed Mihir Virani from 2000 to 2008, stepping into the role after Amar Upadhyay, recently expressed his joy over the show's comeback after 25 years, and revealed why the show couldn't work out for him. Talking about Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot, Ronit Roy told ETimes, 'I am happy that they decided to bring back Kyunki. Unfortunately, it did not work out for me, but, of course, Kyunki is a show that has been very close to my heart. I did Kyunki for eight years of my life. And I wish the cast and crew of Kyunki, and the makers, the very best. Looking forward to watching it." Ronit Roy also shared his thoughts on returning to a long-running television show. He said, 'So I'm not averse to doing a long show or being on television for a long time. However, as I mentioned, there is still much to be desired on television. 25 years since I began.
