Nike Air Force 1 Low Is Sleek in "Triple Black Ripstop"
Nikecontinues to expand its offerings for the classicAir Force 1 Low, arriving in a 'Triple Black Ripstop.' Nike is elevating this iconic colorway with a textural and functional upgrade, set to drop in Summer 2025. At first glance, the shoe maintains its quintessential all-black aesthetic, ensuring its reputation as a go-to for any fit remains intact. However, a closer inspection reveals the thoughtful details that set this version apart. The primary material is a premium tumbled leather, providing a familiar, supple feel, but it's the strategic use of ripstop nylon that gives this AF1 its distinctive edge. The iconic side Swoosh is crafted from this gridded, durable ripstop fabric, subtly embedded into the leather panels for a sleek, layered look. This material choice extends to the tongue, featuring ripstop mesh under matching black branding, enhancing both the shoe's rugged appeal and its resilience. Adding to its refined tactical vibe, a miniature enamel Swoosh is meticulously placed at the lateral heel, offering a modern, almost jeweled, nod to Nike's heritage detailing.

Caitlin Clark explains why she wears Kobe Bryant's signature shoes: "It's the best shoe and it's not even close"
Caitlin Clark explains why she wears Kobe Bryant's signature shoes: "It's the best shoe and it's not even close" originally appeared on Basketball Network. Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark has been wearing Kobe Brant's Nike shoes since she was in college. Currently in her second WNBA season and one of the most popular players in the women's game, Clark is one of Nike's top women's basketball shoe endorsers. But instead of having her own shoe, she has been wearing various player exclusives of Bryant's shoe. During a 2024 interview, Clark explained to reporters her affinity with the late Los Angeles Lakers legend's sneaker. "I'm a Kobe person, everybody knows that," Clark said. "It's the best shoe, it's not even close. I probably like the Kobe 6s the best, which are the ones I have on right now. I like the 5s as well, but the 6s are kind of my thing." Caitlin has been with Nike since college Clark is a longtime Nike athlete. She began endorsing the Swoosh brand while she was still playing in college. In fact, she broke the NCAA all-time scoring record wearing the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Bruce Lee," which is one of her favorite colorways. After she was drafted No.1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, Clark received offers from the other top shoe brands. Adidas reportedly offered her a four-year $6 million shoe deal with the provision for a signature shoe. Under Armour upped the ante with a $16 million deal over the same term and a promise of a signature sneaker. But Nike topped them with a $28 million extension contract. "Nike's been a tremendous partner and was a partner of mine through college," she said. "And deciding what I wanted to do professionally — that's just the brand that I always wore as a kid. So being able to be with them is a dream and something I don't take lightly. "And I'm not giving any teasers (for a signature shoe), though. Like, I don't do that. So, wait and see," she explained. The unofficial face of the Kobe sneaker line in the WNBA While she does not have a signature shoe yet, Caitlin's Kobe PEs have been on fire. Last June, Nike released a Kobe 6 Protro PE called "Bella", in honor of Clark's golden retriever dog. Later that month, a Kobe 5 Protro "Indiana Fever" was also released and sold out in minutes. Last week, she wore a Kobe 6 Protro "Cookie Monster" PE, and for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, she wore a new and fiery Kobe 5 Protro: "Just to wear his shoe, and obviously what Vanessa has done and their family has done. And continuing his legacy, not only obviously within his shoe, but just that whole foundation and just the Kobe brand is pretty incredible. So, I feel very lucky and fortunate to not only represent Nike, but also their entire family," she said about wearing Kobe's shoes. But Caitlin's days with the Kobe shoes are numbered. Last June, Kicks Finder reported that Nike expects to unveil Clark's shoe logo during the coming Holidays. What follows the logo are the shoes and even the apparel. Some are saying that her shoe will be out next year. But as she said, let's all just wait and story was originally reported by Basketball Network on Jul 20, 2025, where it first appeared.

Hoka Launches Global Running Campaign ‘Together, We Fly Higher' With Paralympic Gold Medalist Grace Norman
Hoka has tapped Paralympic gold medalist Grace Norman for a new global running campaign dubbed 'Together, We Fly Higher.' Launched Thursday with a two-minute spot and shorter clip both soundtracked by Bob Dylan's 'Shelter By the Storm,' the campaign highlights the community that supports runners, including coaches, family, spectators and fellow participants. More from WWD Hoka's New Rocket X 3 Is the Stable, Consistent Super Shoe for Non-superhuman Marathoners Legal Questions Surface Over Walmart's Hoka Dupe What Nike, Hoka and Other Brands Are Doing to Celebrate Global Running Day Additional shorts will release over the coming months, and Hoka is boosting the campaign through connected television, out-of-home, digital, owned media and paid social in addition to its own social platforms. 'As a brand driven by the joy of progress, we recognize the role community plays in the long road athletes' take to achieve greatness,' Erika Gabrielli, vice president of Global Marketing for Hoka, said in a press release. 'Together We Fly Higher' is about just that — celebrating the journey and those who got you there. Our individual progress is fueled by the collective. This campaign puts a spotlight on humans supporting humans, and how this principle empowers us to push past our limits.' The campaign comes after parent company Deckers reported a slowdown in direct-to-consumer sales for Hoka in the the fourth quarter of 2025. Deckers' chief financial officer Steven Fasching pointed to 'macroeconomic uncertainty' as a factor, as well as consumers choosing in-store purchases and higher levels of promotion for outgoing models. 'I'm not entirely surprised by that performance, generally where the quarter came in is where we expected Hoka to come in,' Fasching said in the May earnings call. 'But once we get beyond Q1, with the success that we're seeing with the new introductions in Hoka, we're encouraged that you're going to start to see those numbers improve.' In June, Hoka launched the Rocket x 3 as the latest iteration of its stability-focused super shoe. It also debuted the Arahi 8 everyday road runner at the beginning of July. Norman won Paralympic gold medals in the 2024 PTS5 Paratriathlon and 2016 PT4 Paratriathlon, as well as silver in the 2020 PTS5 Paratriathlon.
