Is Tatcha's new Dewy Milk Moisturizer the glow game-changer it claims to be? We put it to the test
Most feel too sticky on my skin, or don't actually have the hydrating quality I need. That's why I was so excited when Tatcha decided to launch their ever-famous Dewy Skin Cream in a lighter version — the Dewy Milk Moisturizer.
Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer
Tatcha's new lightweight moisturizer is the summer essential you didn't know you needed.
It gives your skin a light glow while keeping it moisturized all day long. Plus, it's great for all skin types — even sensitive skin.

$64
Boasting the lavender packaging Tatcha is known for, this lightweight moisturizer is already my go-to summer favorite. It blends easily and gives my skin a dewy glow that lasts all day.
It has ingredients like Japanese purple rice, green tea extract, and zinc hyaluronate. Together, they're designed to deliver lasting hydration and improve your skin's elasticity.
After using this moisturizer every day for a week straight, I can safely attest that my skin feels softer and definitely less flakey.
Tatcha says the moisturizer is built for all skin types, but is particularly great for combination skin types (like me).
I only need to use a couple pumps in the morning to coat my whole face, and there's no residue once I'm done applying.
I then add a primer on top and then I'm good to apply my makeup — without worry that it will cake or stick to any dry skin.
It doesn't really have a scent, so it won't irritate those with a sensitive nose. The formula also never irritated my skin, and the best part? It gave me a glow without making me look 'shiny' or 'oily.'
The Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer is now available for $64, but this new launch is set to sell out fast, so make sure you get your order in soon, and give your skin the hydration it needs.

Makeup artist reveals top tips to covering up uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and dark circles - including anti-ageing £4 Superdrug buy
Jazz Kaur Sohal, 45, from Buckinghamshire, is married with two young sons and works in communications for a school. PROBLEM Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more Jazz's South Asian heritage means she is always looking for products that work with her skin tone and address her beauty concerns. She is also a busy working mother (her boys are eight and five) and so has minimal time for a beauty routine. To create Jazz's new look, we turned to Aarti Pal, make-up artist and founder of the South Asian Beauty Collective, who says her clients' top issues are uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, dark circles under the eyes and ashiness around the mouth. Face South Asian women often suffer from pigmentation patches, which can be down to genetic predisposition but also sun exposure. 'I grew up thinking I didn't need to wear SPF,' says Jazz. 'But now I know I did!' To address this and disguise dark patches, too, Pal says colour correction is key – she used Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick in Deep Peach (below, £29, a shade that works brilliantly to counteract any sunspots or areas of ashiness. Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick £29 Shop Her technique is 'to always apply it before foundation, and only where needed'. For base she applied Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup with a sponge (try Superdrug 20 Makeup Sponges, £4, gently pressing it over the colour corrector to avoid disturbing it. To brighten Jazz's under-eye area, Pal prepped with Tatcha The Brightening Eye Cream (£64, which works long-term but also gives an 'instant lift'. Then she put on concealer. 'I like Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer (£31) as it doesn't crease, really lasts and there is a good range of shades. I went for one slightly lighter than Jazz's skin tone.' When it comes to shade inclusivity, Pal says brands have come a long way in increasing their ranges, but there's still much work to be done. She loves the new Kosas colour correctors and powders, as well as Armani and L'Oréal's foundations, which all work well on South Asian skin. For Jazz's eyes, Pal used an eyeshadow stick (try Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in Golden Brown, £9.99, on the lower lids, blending it up to the crease using a brush. For the time-poor, she says, this is a quick way to bring 'a pretty depth to eyes and an instant polish'. L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Panorama Mascara £12.99 Shop To define Jazz's brows, she applied Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil (£26, benefit – a favourite in her kit) and used YSL Lines Liberated Waterproof Eye Pencil (£27, on Jazz's lash line as 'it glides on easily and is really pigmented and dark'. The last touch? A couple of coats of L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Panorama Mascara in Black (above, £12.99, Next up, No7 Pro Artist Soft Glow Cream Bronzer in Medium Glow (below, £19.95, on Jazz's cheeks and temples. 'The packaging feels really premium and the product works on all skin tones. It's not too muddy.' Finally, Pal swiped on Bobbi Brown Luxe Matte Lipstick in Downtown Rose (£35, 'Jazz usually goes for a bold lip colour, but I wanted her to try this subtler shade. And it looks great. It's a flatters-all hue.' Hair The time and cost of colouring her hair mean that Jazz is embracing the grey appearing at her temples (even though she says her mother isn't so keen!). Left to dry naturally her hair is prone to frizz and so she is looking for ways to smooth it out. 'I love the look of a bouncy blow-dry but find it hard to achieve myself.' Hairstylist on the shoot Alex Szabo suggested spritzing in Redken One United All-In-One Multi-Benefit Treatment (below, £30.95, post wash. 'It will turn even the most damaged hair from burnt cotton candy to silk. You only need a couple of spritzes.' £30.95 Shop To create a smooth style Szabo used a couple of handfuls of strong hold mousse (he likes Schwarzkopf Osis+ Volume & Body Grip Extra Strong Mousse, £13.86, saying, 'Thick hair like Jazz's needs a lot of product.' He then took a big round bristle brush and dried her hair using a Dyson hairdryer with its nozzle pointed downwards to smooth cuticles and create shine. Szabo and Jazz also talked about new brands inspired by the South Asian tradition of hair oiling. Jazz recalled her grandmother working coconut oil through hers as her child and now finds herself drawn to brands like Fable & Mane, which have brought the centuries-old Eastern ritual into the mainstream. Jazz said she thinks 'the chic branding makes South Asians feel more comfortable with their heritage'. JAZZ'S VERDICT 'I loved the shoot and afterwards I still felt like me, just more confident. Embracing my greys felt surprisingly empowering, and the team helped me feel beautiful! From now on, I'm opting for comfort over perfection.' Make-up: Aarti Pal. Hair: Alex Szabo. Boots' £19 Korean cream turns skin into 'glass' with 'beautiful glow'
The Eastern skincare product has gained popularity online as it leaves people with a "hydrated" glow, according to shoppers Boots customers are raving about a product that's become a hit thanks to an online trend of introducing the Western world to beauty tips from the East. Those seeking the coveted "glass skin" look have been singing the praises of a particular "thick and luxurious" face cream. The glass skin trend comes from Korean beauty (K-beauty). It refers to skin that appears incredibly smooth, clear, and radiant, much like a polished piece of glass. The look is marked by a vibrant, healthy glow that seems to emanate from within, with very few visible imperfections such as pores or blemishes. As of July 4, 2025, Boots is treating its online customers to a 10% discount on selected Korean beauty products, with some items priced as low as £9. The Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream, usually retailing at £21 for a 50ml pot, has been marked down to just £18.90. Boots describes this "all-in-one cream" as packed with "good-for-skin ingredients" like rice bran water, ginseng water, squalane, and niacinamide. The brand notes: "These ingredients help to keep your skin healthy, hydrated, and balanced. The firm texture sinks into your skin, providing moisture and nourishment from deep within." Designed for everyday use, the moisturising cream has gained a mass of positive five-star reviews from shoppers, reports the Liverpool Echo. One customer said: "I have hyper-sensitive skin, and it helps soothe it. I put it after vitamin C serum before going to bed. It's not perfumed, which is great." Another added: "It makes my skin refreshed and looks glowy. Definitely will buy again!" A third chimed in: "Keeps my skin hydrated and sits beautifully under makeup - it's my go-to daily moisturiser!" Some customers encountered problems, with one buyer claiming: "It has a weird consistency and isn't hydrating at all; the product just sits on top of your skin and leaves it sticky." Another suggested: "It feels very hydrating but so sticky on my face after an hour or so, since I have oily skin. My skin has also broken out, and I do have acne-prone skin, but before using this cream, I had no spots at all!" But most Boots customers reported far more favourable experiences. A different five-star reviewer shared: "Best moisturiser I've used in a long time, and I've tried a few! It feels thick and luxurious. It does take a few minutes to soak in, but it leaves the most beautiful glass skin behind, that feels hydrated all day!" And, one more added: "Very good cream! It's not sticky, and your skin looks hydrated and nice. I totally recommend it." Similar Korean products are available at other UK retailers. Superdrug sells APLB Glutathione Niacinamide Facial Cream (£9), and Amazon offers this Etude House SoonJung Barrier Intensive Cream (£13.39). What makes Korean skincare so popular? Korean skincare's appeal lies in its emphasis on cutting-edge, powerful, yet mild formulas. These products frequently feature distinctive ingredients and a comprehensive multi-stage regimen aimed at promoting lasting skin wellness and achieving a luminous "glass skin" appearance. Women's Health reports that Korean skincare has become a hit because some of its ingredients blend age-old natural extracts with cutting-edge compounds. The products aim to pamper the skin gently, reducing redness and swelling, yet still promise impressive outcomes. The worldwide craze for K-pop and K-dramas has showcased the coveted "glass skin" look and the skincare secrets behind it to a massive audience, thanks to the power of the internet. Beauty influencers have been instrumental in the rise of K-beauty, sharing reviews and beauty regimes for their followers.
