UK joins ‘conga line of capitulation' as nation pledges to recognise Palestinian state

Sky News AU4 days ago
Sky News host James Macpherson says UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has joined the 'conga line of capitulation' as he has claimed the UK will recognise a Palestinian state.
'When Hamas terrorists swarmed into Israel on October 7 and slaughtered more than 1000 Jews, they knew exactly what they were doing," Mr Macpherson said.
'They knew Israel would retaliate with the fury of a nation defending its right to exist, and they knew that Gazans would suffer greatly.
'They also knew that Western media would dutifully republish Hamas propaganda with all the scepticism of a Labrador being offered a snack.
'Now, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, well, he's joined the conga line of capitulation.'

Level of concern for Palestine is ‘rising, not falling' in Australia

Former Labor advisor Darrin Barnett discusses the pro-Palestine march which took place in Sydney, temporarily shutting down the Harbour Bridge. 'There's a lot to unpack here, but today was significant … Sydney was 100,000 people,' Mr Barnett told Sky News host Paul Murray. 'This was a big deal … there are people who have genuine concerns at a humanitarian level of what's occurring. 'That level of concern, I think, is rising, not falling.'

Albanese will ‘cave in' to pressure from pro-Palestine marchers

Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger reacts to Sydney's pro-Palestine march, which temporarily shut down the Harbour Bridge. 'There's a reason the left demonstrate because in the end, weak, Western governments cave in to mass demonstrations,' Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray. 'He [Anthony Albanese] is going to recognise Palestine, which would be extraordinarily premature. 'Of course, he'll cave in on this … this demonstration was effectively there solely to pressure Albanese and to intimidate people.'
