The agent, realising he was being robbed, drew his own weapon. A shootout followed. The agent was shot in the face and forearm, while the gunman was also injured. Both suspects fled the scene. 'Last night, in New York City, an incredible CBP Officer was shot in the face by an Illegal Alien Monster freed into the Country under Joe Biden. He was apprehended at the Border in April 2023 but, instead of being deported, was RELEASED. The CBP Officer bravely fought off his attacker, despite his wounds, demonstrating enormous Skill and Courage,' US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, helping investigators identify Mora as the shooter. He later arrived at Bronx Care Hospital with gunshot wounds matching those seen on the video. Commissioner Tisch said Mora is in the U.S. illegally, having crossed the border through Arizona in 2023. He has a criminal history, including two domestic violence arrests, an active warrant for missing a court date, and is wanted for a robbery in December 2024 and a stabbing in January 2025.
