Lil Yachty Teases Unreleased Nike Air Force 1s in 'I need meds' MV
Lil Yachtyhas just revealed 'i need meds' track with a music video. Though brief in runtime, the track signals a notable shift in the rapper's style. Pairing a deep-toned vocal delivery with bleak lyrical undercurrents, complete with sharp visual presentation, 'i need meds' is already sparking conversation across platforms.
Within the first few seconds of the video, Yachty gives viewers a close-up look at a black and red pair of'Concrete Boys'Nike Air Force 1s— a colorway that has not been released or officially announced. The placement feels intentional as it could be a teaser to the next phase of his Nike collaboration, while also potentially hinting at an expansion of the Concrete Boys series. As with much of Yachty's creative output, the moment blurs the line between music and brand — even in a sub-two-minute track, he makes space for visual storytelling and fashion-driven cues.
Sonically, the track leans trap-heavy, signaling a shift from the genre-blurring psychedelia ofLet's Start Here., his critically acclaimed 2023 album. While some fans continue to hope for a return to that experimental sound, others are embracing the rawer, more grounded tone of 'i need meds,' seeing it as a stylistic breadcrumb for what's to come.
Fans have begun decoding the track's meaning and structure — with some calling it a spiritual successor to 2022's viral hit 'Poland.' Like that release, 'i need meds' is emotionally blunt, sonically minimal and optimized for short-form virality. Whether or not it's part of a larger rollout remains to be seen, but the track's ambiguity and visual sharpness suggest there's more on the horizon.
With fan discussion heating up and visuals hinting at something deeper, 'i need meds' could mark the start of a new chapter — one where Lil Yachty trades in the technicolor chaos for something colder, quieter, and more emotionally cutthroat. Check out the full video for 'i need meds' above, and stay tuned for its official streaming release.
