No sympathy for Mat Rempit perished in illegal race for they got what they deserved
That seems to be the sentiment of an X user who sarcastically opined that Mat Rempit (illegal street racers) killed in an accident were pursuing their deepest passions before expiring.
They died doing what they love the most which is to paint roads using meat crayons. https://t.co/G0ORay1hwN

Referring to Mat Rempit who met their grisly end in an accident purportedly on the Guthrie Highway, Effi The Source Shaharuddin (@10befiend) sarcastically thanked these road artists for decorating the highway with 'meat crayons'.
It referenced a post containing a dash cam video showing about a dozen Mat Rempit riding recklessly at high speeds.
Some way ahead, a crash had caused quite of few of these stunt riders to be sprawled along the highway alongside debris from their smashed rides which also caused some vehicles to ram into each other in a bid to avoid the bodies.
It would appear that there is little public sympathy for these daredevil bikers with one equating them with younger basikal lajak (modified 'brakeless' bicycles) riders.
One commenter simply remarked that he would not even bother to stop to lend a helping hand, underlining public sentiment towards these road menaces.
In fact, most of the sympathy went towards the car drivers who smashed their vehicles in a bid to avoid the prone bodies on the ground.
Other commenters highlighted the massive mess such an accident creates.
Similar sentiments accompanied the original post containing the dash cam videos with sympathy again in short supply.
Some wondered why the cops had not mounted regular road blocks given the stretch of road is popular among illegal racers.
Quite a few commenters mocked the oft-heard lament that the victims were 'good kids'.
Of course, whenever the issue of Mat Rempit is discussed, the ethnicity of these riders is inevitably raised. Why is this a uniquely Malay problem, they wondered?
Regardless of the race of these wrongdoers, the question that needs to be raised is when meaningful action will be finally taken to address this issue.
Can't the public demand that the book be thrown at these offenders? After all, they are endangering the lives of other road users.
Virtually nobody applauds their antics as typified by the scores of disgusted comments. One commenter pointed out that there would less oxygen wasted with these people gone from the face of the planet.
Surely, making an example out of some with heavy sentences, including time behind bars, would be a deterrent.

Parents fear sending children to boarding schools in Sabah
KUALA LUMPUR: Kinabatangan member of Parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin says many parents in Sabah are now afraid to send their children to boarding schools due to growing concerns over bullying. He said bullying has become increasingly rampant, especially in boarding schools — including religious, vocational, and national secondary institutions. As such, he urged the Education Ministry (MoE) to explore new approaches to tackle the issue of bullying more effectively. "In Sabah, many parents are now afraid to send their children to boarding schools because they say, 'We are sending our children to be killed'. "These students go to school to gain knowledge, yet their children are dying, being mistreated... this is unacceptable," he told the Dewan Rakyat when debating the 13th Malaysia Plan today. Although he did not directly reference any specific case, his remarks are believed to be related to the recent death of 13-year-old Form One student Zara Qairina Mahathir in Papar, Sabah, which drew public attention due to its alleged links to bullying. On July 16, Zara Qairina — a Form One student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Tun Datu Mustapha Limauan in Papar — was found unconscious in a drain near her school's dormitory at around 4am. She was pronounced dead the following day at Queen Elizabeth I Hospital in Kota Kinabalu. Bung Moktar added that the shaping of student character should begin in schools, referencing a Malay proverb: "Melentur buluh biar dari rebungnya" (Inculcating good values should start at an early age). "The Education Minister must take this issue seriously. We talk about transformation, but if we can't even transform our schools, how can we expect change?" he said.

Malaysian Employee Turns RM8 Light Bulb Into RM180 Company Expense Scam
Subscribe to our FREE A Malaysian auto repair shop owner has exposed what might be the most brazen expense fraud of the year, sharing screenshots that show how an employee turned an RM8 light bulb replacement into an RM180 company claim. The incident unfolded when a company truck driver visited the repair shop to replace a single light bulb. The shop owner issued a handwritten receipt for RM8, which was the actual cost of the bulb and service. But when the driver submitted his expense claim, something didn't add up. The Carbon Copy That Cracked the Case The company's finance team grew suspicious of the RM180 receipt and contacted the repair shop directly to verify the charges. The smoking gun came when the shop owner checked his carbon copy. WhatsApp screenshots show the company representative asking the repair shop owner: 'Can I see the bill you have there because I feel my driver changed the receipt' (translated from Malay). When both parties compared receipts, the scam was exposed: the driver had somehow transformed the '8' into '180' on his copy. When One Scam Unleashes a Thousand More The story has exploded across Malaysian social media, with users sharing their own experiences of similar workplace fraud: E-invoice advocates are using this as proof that digital receipts prevent tampering Other business owners report finding employees who collect discarded gas station receipts to submit fake claims Construction site managers say they've caught workers inflating material costs Transport company bosses share stories of drivers altering delivery receipts One viral comment calculated the markup: '8×10%=0.8, 8×100%=8, 8×1000%=80. This guy marked up 2000%. Talented!' Beyond the Laughs: A System-Wide Problem While social media users are having a field day with memes and jokes, the incident highlights serious issues with Malaysia's expense reimbursement systems. Many companies still rely on handwritten receipts that are easily manipulated. The government's push for e-invoicing is partly designed to prevent precisely this type of fraud, but implementation remains patchy across industries. As one commenter noted: 'If he wrote RM18, the boss might turn a blind eye. But adding that zero? That's just greedy.' The repair shop owner's decision to go public has turned him into an unlikely hero for honest business practices – and provided Malaysia with its latest viral sensation about workplace creativity gone wrong.
