Taiwanese girl group S.H.E is back together, though only in support for member Hebe Tien's concert.
Tien, 42, is on a Live In Life tour in Taiwan, where she is playing at small, scenic locations on the island. She performed at the Outdoor Theatre of National Kaohsiung Centre for the Arts (Weiwuying) on June 21 and 22.
The singer posted several throwback photos of her Kaohsiung shows on social media on June 26. They included one of her with bandmates Ella Chen, 44, and Selina Jen, 43. Both Chen and Jen wore the official white T-shirts of the concert.
That photo drew the most number of 'likes' – more than 1,700 – on Facebook, compared with fewer than 400 for the other photos. Tien also posted photos of Chen and Jen entering the venue together.
'The city of Kaohsiung has added different stories to my life, and made me deeply understand the uncertainties of life,' Tien wrote in Chinese on June 26. 'It has also taught me to deeply cherish the daily life of being able to sing safely and healthily.'
'Thank you, Kaohsiung, for your acceptance and patience, and thank you to my sisters who have been loving and supporting me all the way, and to the friends who came and cheered for me. Kaohsiung is very hot, not just due to the temperature, but also due to everyone's passionate love,' she added.
In September 2022, Tien had to postpone her concerts at Kaohsiung Arena for a week after she came down with a bad bout of flu. She then had to cancel her third and fourth shows due to safety concerns following an earthquake in south-eastern Taiwan.
Formed in 2001, S.H.E left its long-time label HIM International Music in 2018, with the three singers setting up their own management agencies. They said they were not disbanding despite going solo. The group's last studio album was 2012's Blossomy .
Tien released her fifth studio album, Time Will Tell , in 2020. It nabbed three awards at Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards in 2021, including for Best Female Singer (Mandarin).
Meanwhile, Chen took part in reality shows such as Ride The Wind 2023 , where she emerged the winner, and acted in dramas such as Dr Lifesaver (2023 to 2024) and Us Without Sex (2024). She released her second studio album, Bad Habits , in 2024.
Jen starred in her first horror movie Funeral (2022) and released her second mini-album, My Own Beauty , in 2022. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network

#SHOWBIZ: HK celeb couple Kenneth Ma, Roxanne Tong first joint visit to Malaysia

HONG KONG: Hong Kong actor Kenneth Ma, 51, and his wife, TVB actress Roxanne Tong, 38, were in Malaysia on Saturday for a beauty product meet-and-greet at a local shopping centre. Tong revealed on Instagram that this was the couple's first joint visit to Malaysia since they wed in 2023. Photos and videos shared by fans on social media showed Tong, radiant in a loose-fitting top and long trousers, standing beside her husband. Her slightly fuller figure led some netizens to speculate about a possible pregnancy. Tong later addressed these rumours on Instagram Stories, writing: "How do I calm my irritability? I'm about to explode!" Her candid post not only quashed the pregnancy speculation but also earned her praise for her honesty and humour regarding mood swings. Ma remarked, "The first time I won Best Actor was in Malaysia. And our first couple appearance is also here. I hope that when we take our first baby abroad, it will be to Malaysia!"

BEIJING , July 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In northeast China, "Ice City" Harbin, also famed as a "City of Music" in Asia, is seeing crowds of participants from 39 countries and regions thronging its summer music gala. Photo shows a scene of the opening ceremony of the 37th Harbin Summer Music Festival in Heilongjiang, northeast China on June 27, 2025. Opened on June 27, the 37th Harbin Summer Music Festival co-hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Harbin municipal government offers locals and visitors a fantastic chance to revel in the charm of music. The festival, which sets seven sections including the opening shows, national-level performances and the "Capital of East Asian Culture"-themed art week, will last till September this year. Among its diverse activities, there are three international musical contests, namely the 2025 Schoenfeld International String Competition, the 20th World Saxophone Congress and the 7th Harbin International Accordion Art Week. In the Chinese city, also an ideal summer retreat, other 79 Chinese and foreign thematic performances are either ongoing or underway now, not to mention the 3,000-plus on-agenda artistic activities for mass amusement. With an around century-long musical history and cultural heritages integrating both oriental and western cultures, Harbin boasts an enchanting aura and unique charms, said Peter Paul Kainrath, president of World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC). This year, Kainrath hoped WFIMC's annual meeting held in Harbin could be a good start for it to maintain close and friendly exchanges with Harbin and other Chinese cities, expecting dialogues and cooperation in a wide range of sectors. As one of the cradles of Chinese modern music, Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province in northeast China, is endeavoring to illuminate different cultures through the catchy and diverse music of its summer music festival. Keep marital woes private, says actor Fauzi Nawawi

Compiled by DIVYA THERESA RAVI, C. ARUNO and R. ARVINTHAN ACTOR Fauzi Nawawi, who has been married for 19 years, has a tip for young couples. 'If you have a fight, don't post it on social media or tell anyone,' he told Kosmo! Online. It is pointless to wash dirty linen in public, said Fauzi, 52. He voiced his concerns that the young generation seemed inclined to share their marital woes online. He also spoke about the need for honesty among couples. 'Every human being will make mistake. It is up to you to evaluate and understand the situation,' said Fauzi, who married actress Lisdawati in 2007. They have four children. > A former cabin crew has now made his name in decorations using balloons, Utusan Malaysia reported. Syed Shahrizal Syed Othman, 44, said he started off by providing balloon bookings and delivery but is now fully focused on the 'art of balloon'. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he said he introduced 'flower balloons' to the Malaysian public. He also said he received invitations to conduct classes on balloons from other countries.
